WOW! Spoilers from Apr. 21 Show Wow is all I can say!
So Janu steps up her performance at the Reward challenge. That was a great reward, too bad she couldn't enjoy the feast! She definitely came into this game way too skinny! I can't believe her and Caryn started eating the dessert they brought back though!
Immunity. What a hard challenge. I knew Janu would bail first, 6 minutes! Tom shows what a threat he is! The girls would be smart to get rid of him or we are going to have a repeat performance of last season where the girls have the advantage and blow it.
Janu's epiphany...wel what can you say about that? I guess it was neat for her. It broke my heart at Tribal Council for Steph, I am glad Janu pulled herself out. We can't kid ourselves to believe it was just for Steph. She said in her final words that she asked to go. Still, Steph definitely has a guardian angel on her shoulder! She's knows they're gunning for her now, and she's going to start picking her game up for sure. Again, I'll reiterate, the girls are idiots if they don't get rid of the men! They have proven that they'll dominate every immunity. I don't know whay Ian and Tom wouldn't want to get rid of Gregg anyway. 1) physical threat 2) not part of orginal 4 person alliance 3) has a big ally in Jen. I'd hate to see an undeserving person win it (like any of the girls - Steph) but the guys have made it clear they aren't looking for who deserves it most, they were willing to vote out the most deserving person and keep the weakest so screw them I say!
I bet Janu is excited to be reunited with Coby, she looked ecstatic to see him. Lucky for him though, she's basically the only person he gets along with!

I was disappointed. I like Steph, she is a great competitor but I thought her breakdown was a bit much. Steph feels like she deserves to be there, so what? BooHoo.
I would care who I could beat, not who deserves it the most.

I think Jeff wanted Stephanie to stay too because he really interviewed everybody very carefully. It was Jeff who decided that it was okay for Janu to leave on her own free will. But he should have said, "Okay, lets vote one person out now." But instead he said, "This is a first'". He wondered if it was okay to do that. But he was in charge and he let it happen.
In the previews they show Stephanie trying to round up the women to vote out the men but I don't think she will be able to accomplish it because the women see her as a threat to win the money. Plus, she doesn't have a strong alliance or any alliance to back her up.

I don't know...Steph is one smart lady, she might pull it off.
Kitri- 04-22-2005
It was obvious that MB didn't want to see a fierce competitor get voted out over one who clearly wanted to go home, that's why Jeff rode Janu's butt about her wanting to quit.
Plus I think Stephenie's heartfelt plea to stay also helped. I have to agree with her in saying why keep someone to wants to quit but then again she is a threat and keeping the weaker player is what Tom and Co. wanted to do. Their plan was foiled!!!
Stephenie is given another chance but will she be able to pull it off.
Janu joins Osten as the second Survivor to quit the game....

The tribal council is supposedly much longer than what we see, although last night we did get to see a little more than usual. I'm hoping that we will find out more information regarding what happened last night. Last night it kind of smelled like Jeff pressuring Janu to lay down her torch so Steph could stay in the game, but I suspect there was more to it than that. Who knows, possibly Janu told one of Jeff's or MB's flunkies beforehand that she wanted to leave. I absolutely loved the look that passed between Steph and Coby after Janu laid down her torch.
Janu was quite the woman last night though, if she had shown more of that side of herself in the days before, she may not have been targetted. She proved to be a great help in the water platform challenge, although she was ready to collapse, but she helped them win. Katie, on the other hand, was absolutely useless. She also showed a lot of mental strength on her own, which is where she proved to herself, I think, that she had what it takes and she didn't need to go any further in the game to prove herself.
I can totally understand Steph's frustration last night. She has pushed herself so hard, she so badly wants to keep going, and then to have someone else sit there and whine and complain that they don't want to play anymore and then to think that the rest of them would keep someone who didn't want to be there over her, would be so upsetting. Even though it makes total sense! But still, I can see that Steph would be frustrated, not just with that but she simply cannot get a decent team behind her for anything! Katie lost that challenge for them. Steph has got to be exhausted.
As for a women's challenge .... I wish it would happen, but have major doubts because of Jen and her boy toy. Can she actually team up with the women and keep her mouth shut? We will see. But the first chance these people get, they have to vote off Tom!!! That man is a machine and he's just waltzing to the million dollars! Quite frankly, if it came down to a Steph/Tom final two, I don't know who would take it or who would deserve it more. They're both awesome players.

Jenna quit in All-Stars, too.
Janu wanted to quit and pretty much had it in her mind to quit even before tribal council, according to her interview on The Early Show this morning. Plus, her quitting actually had a strategic aspect to it in that she altered the plans of Greg, Tom & Ian by keeping Steph in the game.
I used to think Tom & Ian were friendly to Steph, but I don't think so anymore. Steph better win the next immunity challenge, if not the next five.
bellirng- 04-22-2005
Steph already has 2 votes on the jury.
I think Steph will try harder next week for immunity. I think she had a false sense of security and trusted Tom. She knows better now!
Rubini- 04-22-2005
Yeah I noticed Jeff had a big hand in pressuring Janu to leave, and I agree it was much better for teh producers to have Steph in teh show since she's so well like, and her winning could turn into the Cinderella story of the series. Still though, Janu said she asked her tribemates to vote her out in her final words, and then they showed teh clip of her little hissy fit, so who knows, there was probably a lot more to that then we actually saw.
The women are so stupid if they don't get rid of Tom, and Gregg is equally as stupid if he doesn't go along with it. Steph may be a big threat, but Tom is a bigger one as far as the challenges go, he could go on winning immunity over and over like Colby in S2 and easily climb into the final 2. If he does, he'd have a good chance at winning.
The women totally have the upper hand right now, I just hope they dont blow it like last season. I am afraid Jen might be thinking her and Gregg might be a Romber redux and that she could end up taking home the million dollars. However, Gregg isn't hated like Rob was, so if it came down to that I dont think anyone would vote for Jen to win. I dont think she can hope for better than 4th place unless she goes along with this plan, but she is so threatened by Steph I could totally see her ratting her out to the men.

I agree that Stephenie forming an all woman's alliance could be jepordized by Jen. She sees Steph as a threat and wants her gone so she just might spill the beans.
If they don't vote off Tom, he's taking it all the way to the bank! He won two ICs and they're more concerned in voting off Stephenie!
Sure she''s the outsider but wake up people!
They need to disable the Machine!!
I also loved the look between Steph and Coby, too. He's rooting for her no doubt!

Of the "regular" Survivors at least. Don't forget we had 2 "all-stars" quit the game! (Well I cant fault Jenna, her mom died right after she left so thank God she quit when she did, but Sue... I don't know about that one...)

Exactly what I thought last night! Although, Janu said this morning that she was all about Koror when Steph first came over, and she didn't quit just to keep Steph in the game, so she might vote for Koror just on principle in any possible Steph/Koror-member final 2 scenario.
But I think Coby would definitely vote for Steph, and he might convince Janu to do likewise if she is not already.

The votes have already been cast by now right? I think Janu is trying to foil us, Steph was in the final 2 and Janu voted for her!
(well I can hope right!)

(well I can hope right!)
I am right there with you my dear!!!
(and we can also hope that if Steph does get eliminated there is a tribe of outcasts that get to come back ---- we can also hope that if she doesn't win this time, we all get to vote on the real winner, and we can give her the win that way -- if we're going to hope, we might as well do it right!!!
