Britney Spears files for divorce Papers filed while Kevin Federline shops in Toronto While Kevin Federline was plugging his new CD in Toronto, his wife was filing for divorce. Spears filed papers Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court citing “irreconcilable differences." According to sources in L.A., the date of separation is listed as Nov. 6, the day Federline, 28, was on MuchMusic in Toronto. The 24-year-old singer is seeking custody of the couple’s two children, Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 2 months. Spears, who married Federline in 2004, is not asking for spousal support. Federline made no mention of the end of his marriage during his appearance on MuchOnDemand on Monday night. He later shopped for shoes and ate dinner at the Ruth Chris' Steakhouse in the Hilton hotel before partying with friends at the C-Lounge. Tuesday, Federline stopped by the Roots store on Bloor Street to pick up some clothing for himself and his sons. According to a source, Federline joked that he hoped his wife would come to Toronto and surprise him. Oh, I'm sure he'll be surprised alright!!! Bye bye meal ticket!!!
