Who Will Trump Hire? Based on the final task, I think Donald Trump will hire Kendra. Tana was unprofessional in the way she handled her team during the final task. And frankly, I think Trump would prefer to hire a college graduate over someone with just a high school degree... even if the person with the college degree is immature at times.
I still think the best candidate for the job is Erin.

I've been a supporter of Tana all the way, because I thought she had the best PR skills, and what she said was true. "I'm a shark in a goldfish costume."
However, after last night (even though Tana's task looked a lot harder) Kendra came through as a winner. I voted Kendra, but I am still split. I keep thinking back to the great leadership Tana has showed, and the lack thereof in some tasks when Kendra lead. She let emotions get in the way. But she came back in the final task, so I wouldn't be surprised if Kendra got it, though I've always been a fan of Tana.

I typed the following for a post in an RTVP thread but it applies to this discussion so I cut and pasted rather than re-type:
It sure looks like Kendra will win. From what they showed tonight, her task was almost problem-free whereas Tana's was full of problems. Kendra also had a team that was supportive of her and they worked well together (once they got past that initial meeting fiasco). Tana not only didn't get along with her team but she was constantly badmouthing them to Carolyn, the camera and several people at the event. The lack of the American flag and non-proofread, error-filled programs might prove to be the final nails in Tana's coffin.
I think Tana also made a mistake by stressing that she has a husband and kids and that she put family before education. If I were Trump, who wants dedicated employees who will work long hours, I would be wondering if she would put family before her Apprentice job. Would she balk at the long hours? Tana pointed out that Kendra doesn't have those kinds of ties (like it's a bad thing) but Trump might see that as a point in Kendra's favor.
I had formed a bad opinion of Tana during the Solstice task and that increased through this episode. She is not nearly the hotshot that she thinks she is. It was amusing that Tana was telling the camera that she thought that people should be throwing her the occasional compliment for the things she was doing well (I'm not sure what those would be.) instead of just coming to her with one problem after another. Later we see Kendra getting the compliments from her team during the tearful good-byes. (Crying may be a negative point for Kendra although Trump said crying was okay.)
The funniest moment of the night for me was when Tana was talking to the governor's assistant and he pointed out to her that the governor was sitting outside waiting. Tana, who was distracted by the next fire she was heading toward to put out, said, "Oh, okay. That's fine." The assistant retorted, "NO, it's not fine." and turns and stalks away. Tana pauses to realize her gaffe and that she's got yet another problem to deal with. With mistakes like that and the missing American flag, and the messed up programs, all pretty large screw-ups, I don't know how she thought that she did great.
We got to see an awful lot of Tana bragging about how well she had done (amazingly, she sounded serious! ) which seems designed to be a prelude for her comeuppance when she gets fired.

Remember this is reality TV. What if they took all the bad aspects of Tana's and the good ones of Kendra's and edited to make it look like Kendra was the clear winner? Then if Trump does hire Tana it gives the show even more hype and makes the producers hopeful that viewers will tune in next season. Just a thought, anything is possible in reality TV.

True, it is reality tv, but for that matter, what if there wasn't any good footage of Tana, and there wasn't any bad footage of Kendra? There's a lot of "what if's".
The fact of the matter is that Tana's program mishap was not editing, that actually happened. That was HUGE! She wasn't edited to make it look she was talking bad about her teammates, she DID talk that way. She wasn't edited to make it look like she forgot the American flag, she DID. No matter what kind of editing, you can't get around the fact that Tana blew it, and blew it bigtime.
I think you're fishing idolfan.

Re: Kendra vs. Tana If Trump takes into account the old tasks, Tana may come out as the winner. She came out strong fron the beginning and was really good up until the t-shirt task. Kendra, on the other hand, only came on strong near the end of the season. Of course, maybe she was "flying under the radar" the whole time and tried not to get noticed.

And you don't think that the flag thing isn't a little bit staged. I mean why wouldn't there be a flag in the box? That's not her fault. It would be a safe assumption or ANY of us that there would be an American flag in the box of world flags. It IS edited to look like Kendra did the better job, but I can't help but think about the way that Kendra wasn't able to be manage her teams in the 16 weeks. For me, it's still up in the air. I wouldn't be surprised if either won, because their overall performance breaks even. Bottom line, if Trump wants someone who comes up with creative ideas, and delegates well he will hire Kendra. If he wants someone with excellent PR skills, and someone who treats those ABOVE her with utmost respect and has skills in that area, he will hire Tana. It isn't a clear cut yet.

I was also a fan of Tana in the beginning, but those tasks weren't of the magnitude of as this last one. I think it was her job to make sure there was an American Flag, to address the governor immediatly, and it looked as though when she put the governor in place to go on stage she completely forgot Donald.
I think Kendra's task was pretty darn difficult, that building was a mess, and she turned it around and made one of the sponsers offer her a job! I was wondering what she would do with that awful looking room, and it turned out wonderful.
Also the way Tana bad mouthed her crew. Donald said when he assigned them that they were yours to use or NOT. If she felt they were slowing her down, I think Donald would have had more respect for her than to bad mouth them to so many people.
Kendra may have gotten a better crew, but she brought them together. Chris and Danny were loose cannons and had she not taken over it could have been the "Danny Show" playing who knows what from the boxing areana.
What it boils down to is we all have our thoughts and preferences, but The Donald isn't where he is hiring losers. Also there is alot we haven't seen.
I thought it was ridiculous how Tana hid from her employees, like she was already some kind of Donald mini me. She thinks she is fantastic, Kendra is real, and walked out with, or at least met with her employees as she left.
Only The Donald knows for sure!

Re: Final 2 Kendra is younger and probably easier for Donald Trump to mold into the type of person he wants her to be. The executives mentioned this more than once, I noticed. I see him picking her over Tana.
Brinna- 05-19-2005
I'm glad that Kendra was the one hired. It would have been a surprise if she hadn't been selected.
I thought we'd hear more from the teams though.
I liked that George called Tana on the time when she said that she didn't have to work too hard on one task because she had immunity that week. It was nice to see George and Carolyn really express opinions for a change rather than the few short comments we normally get from them.
Tana was really grasping for straws when she tried claiming not only credit for coming up with the round shape idea for the Soltice brochure but then asserting that was the only reason why that brochure was a winner. She knew it was a done deal by that point and she would not be getting the job. There was far too much discussion of her disparaging remarks about her team. The way she treated her team and talked about them really doomed her.

Im glad Kendra was hired too. She deserved it. I would love to have her position. Too bad I wouldnt have a clue how to go about it...but it looks exciting.
Tana was ridiculous with her whooping and hollering and "dont get me started" about that round shape thing. I think its a safe bet it could have been a triangle and they still would have won. She was grasping because she got called out about that particular task and probably thought she could redeem herself but she just ended up looking silly.
