Who Should FOX Replace Paula With?
So the big rumor now is that FOX is looking into Corey Clark's love affair with Paula Abdul. If their investigation turns up anything, supposidly they will fire Paula Abdul. If they do indeed fire Paula, who do you think should step as the third judge? Just for kicks, I'd like to see FOX replace Miss "I can't say anything negative" with someone who can't say anything positive - the one and only Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

I don't care who they replace Paula with as long as she (I'm sure they wouldn't pick a guy) is articulate, can give constructive criticism, and doesn't feel the need to dance through every performance.

Debbie Gibson Tiffany Debra Cox Toni Braxton Vitamin C T- Boz from TLC or if we are going to follow the same line with wacked out characters like Ms. Abdul than why not hire Mrs. Bobby Brown.

Da Brat. I saw her on the Surreal Life and she's brutally honest. Although I don't remember her ever saying anything positive about someone else. She'll be brutally honest about what she doesn't like about you but might not be so good at pointing out what contestants are doing right.

Re: Judge
I think Britney Spears would make an interesting choice for a judge. Her career is pretty much dead nowadays, I'm sure she would jump at the chance to be part of American Idol. I also think Pink would make a good judge.

On Entertainment Tonight they had Clay and several people who competed the same year as Corey (including Frenchie!) all commenting on Corey's allegations. They all think it's a giant load of bull. The AI producer was clearly on Paula's side so it seems unlikely that she is going anywhere soon...so we can keep dreaming about her replacement. It was kind of strange to see Clay so supportive of Paula and AI when AI has distanced themselves from this traitor who got himself out of their contract.

brittney yeah i think that would make for interesting tv.... it would have to be someone with singing and dancing in there backround, ya think

During the auditions when they had guest join the panel, I thought Brandy and LL Cool J did good. They weren't too harsh but they were honest it seemed. So if Paula is replace, and I'm crossing my fingers she is, then I think it should be someone like that.

They did a poll on Access Hollywood and Gloria Estefan narrowly beat out Cher and Cyndi Lauper. Personally I dont think she will get fired, I think they will "investigate" decided it never happened and it will all be swept under the rug like nothing ever happened.

I agree with DarStar, I think Debbie Gibson would be a good choice, but I really can't see the show without Paula, as annoying as she is!

NEW YORK (AP) - Apparently Paula Abdul has no plans to keep a low profile. The American Idol judge being investigated for an alleged affair with a former contestant will make an appearance on NBC's Saturday Night Live this weekend, the entertainment magazine show The Insider reported Friday. Abdul is a paid correspondent at The Insider. A spokesman for Saturday Night Live would say only NBC is hopeful such plans would come together. A former American Idol contestant, Corey Clark, claimed this week Abdul had an affair with him while he was competing in 2003 and coached him on how to do better on the Fox show. Abdul issued a statement Friday expressing "my deepest appreciation" for fans who have expressed their support for her. "All my life, I have been taught to take the high road, and never to dignify salacious or false accusations," she said. "And I have been taught never, never to lie. Not only do I never lie, I never respond to lies, no matter how vicious, no matter how hurtful." "I do trust my fans who can see through attempts at character assassination and I do trust the essential fairness of the American public," she said. A spokesman for Abdul, Shawn Sachs, said he could not clarify what "lies" Abdul was referring to in her statement. http://jam.canoe.ca/Television/2005/05/06/1028885-ap.html

That really would make be never watch AI again. Or else I'd have to keep the remote handy to keep hitting mute!

well if you want a somewhat loopy, contestant hungry cougar, why not bring over Sass Jordan from Canadian Idol!? Unlike Paula though. at least Sass had a valid opinion now and then
