That would be fun! And helpful! There are some days that I read and I have NO Idea how to respond becuase they talk about such in depth stuff! So to talk about it might be helpful I guess! Maybe we could put the thread up and wait a couple of days for those who want to join to get the book or something. Then get started on it! I say we get mr. jillibean and all his religious smarts into that thread! OH NO! But I am going to hawaii so I will be gone until April 8th......so either I fall behind or we wait to start it..... What do you think??

Brinna- 03-22-2005

I'll join in if you start after April 8th since I'm going to be out of town until April 3rd. I've been meaning to re-read it anyway.

I started reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, I gave up around page 300 or so, it's almost 800 pages long and very slow paced. I just started reading Talon of the Silver Hawk by Raymond E. Feist, so far so good, the second book in the series is due out in paperback in April so I'm looking forward to that one as well.

Iam am reading "I am Not Sick, I Don't Need Help".....while it is full of good information, so far not much of it applies to my case. But any tidbit of information I can get is more than I had before. The co-author of this book....her mother was the woman who stalked David Letterman (she thought she was his wife).

Feist is my husband's favorite author and he has every book Feist has published. Have you read the Riftwar Saga books?

He's my favorite as well. I've read everything he's ever written except for the 2nd and 3rd books in the Riftwar Legacy, (? I think that's what it was called, the ones that were based on the video game), the first one sucked really bad. Can't really blame him though, he had to stick to the story of the video game which just didn't have the twists and turns that his books usually have. I still own them though so I'll probably read them at some point just to say I've read everything he's ever written.

Because Hubby is so into Feist, I've read some of his books. Hubby loves Magician: Apprentice, Magician: Master, Silverthorn, and Darkness at Sethanon best. His favorite character is Pug. I read those and liked them but I kinda liked the Empire trilogy better...sacrilege, I know. Just don't piss Pug/Milamber off!!

You two pick the date, and we`ll start re-reading and discussing.. I think I could talk MR J into reading the book, between his seminary studies...

WOO HOO I have some good reading for this week. Just picked up my reserved books from the library....this week's reading list is.... Survivor in Death - Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb - I love the Eve Dallas series    Honeymoon - James Patterson....I hadn't realized but this is the 2005 International Thriller of the Year Alone - Lisa Gardner - I always enjoy her books. White Hot - Sandra Brown - I've read a few of hers and have enjoyed them. The Color of Death - Elizabeth Lowell ...actually I just picked this on up off the shelf....it looked goo.

Has anyone ever read "The Lives of Animals" by J.M. Coetzee? I loved it. It's basically a discussion on our treatment of animals for food in meat factories (as they are referred to in the novel), and it really pissed a lot of people in my class off.... I couldn't read that. It would depress me too much.

Honeymoon - James Patterson....I hadn't realized but this is the 2005 International Thriller of the Year Huh? The year has barely begun, how can it be declaired "International Thriller of the Year"? It's not fair to all the other books that have yet to be printed.

I imagine any and all books being released in 2005 are already known to the groups that make this stuff up.

I just started reading "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold. I'm only half way through the third chapter, but I really like it so far. It's about this 14 year old girl that was murdered, and now she is up in heaven watching her family, friends, and murderer live their lives.
