Unanimous Premieres Wednesday, March 22, 9:30 pm on Fox.
Official Website: Unanimous
In a dramatic new television experiment, a diverse group of nine strangers are locked in a bunker, where they’ll remain until they decide who is worthy of a 1.5-million-dollar cash prize.
There is a catch, though, because the longer it takes to make a unanimous decision, the less money there will be to win. If they take too long, they will be left with nothing.
Upon entering their isolated living quarters, the nine contestants are cut off from the outside world, locked away, and presented the opportunity to win $1.5 million. The only thing standing between them and the money is a simple vote. If they are able to come to a unanimous decision about who should win the money, the game is over. If the outcome of the vote is not unanimous, the money clock is activated and the cash prize begins its countdown with potentially thousands of dollars lost every hour until the next voting period.
In every episode, each of the nine contestants, who include a minister, an atheist, a ladies’ man and a feminist, must convince the others to vote only for him or her. Before the vote, personal facts, secrets and lies are revealed, perhaps helping them decide who should receive the money. As the game progresses, contestants will be eliminated from winning the cash prize, but – in a television first – they will continue to live in the bunker and will continue to vote.
Will contestants’ greed for the money outweigh their desire to help someone potentially less fortunate than themselves? Who will lie and connive, and who will be truthful and sincere? No matter what, the final vote must be UNAN1MOUS.
UNAN1MOUS was created by Lincoln Hiatt and co-created by J.D. Roth and Todd Nelson. It is executive-produced by 3Ball Productions and Lincoln Hiatt.

I watched the show last night and just thought it was weird. Last night was the premiere but it seemed like they started the show in the middle. I felt like I had missed something. They didn't explain who the people were, didn't have a host greet them and show them where they were going to be staying, explain the rules, etc. It was like watching Big Brother except that it started with the people already in the house.
I don't think I'll bother watching this show again unless there's nothing else on at the time. There was too much drama and not enough fun. At least in Big Brother, the contestants did fun things and enjoyed being together. Sticking people in a hole and having them fight over who gets the money is no fun to watch.

I tried to watch it, too. Couldn't get through it and changed the channel about 10 minutes in. If I wanted to see ignorant a$$holes bicker at each other for an hour every week, I could certainly easily find it irl or elsewhere on the net.

Re: Unan1mous Pika, I'm with you. I felt lost, like I had missed the first epiosode or something. Maybe we're not supposed to know anything about the contestants from the get-go, I don't know. It was just weird.
The only good thing about it was that it was only 30 minutes and not an entire hour. I doubt anyone could stand 60 minutes on constant yelling and bickering. Sheesh. What an unlikable group of people.

I'm a reality tv sucker. I watched it from the start and now I watch it every week.
Although now it just seems like they are making up the rules as they go along. If anyone has seen Friends, it reminded me so much of when Chandler made up the card game "cups" to try and give Joey money. Anyway, I like it.

haha, I love that episode, and it does seem like they are doing the same thing with this show. I've only seen a couple episodes(I don't know how many have aired now), and it's quite weird.

Didn't see Paradise Hotel. What happened?
I think there have been three or four episodes, Shmoo. I'm not sure though.

Re: Paradise Hotel Didn't see Paradise Hotel. What happened?
The rules of the show seemed to change just about every week in order for the underdogs to remain on the show. It was an incredibly ridiculous show, but one of the greatest and trashiest reality tv shows I've ever seen. It's too bad it lasted only one season. The contestants on the show were unbelievable.
Look up the Paradise Hotel forum on realitytvplanet. You'll then see why it was such a great show.
By the way, it's the show where Tara got her screen name.
