Thursday show summary 8/25/05 (spoiler) Another pair is about to be split up. Who will go home? Howie or Rachel will leave tonight. The Houseguests will vote live tonight.
Howie and Rachel come to terms with one of them leaving and wonder who it will be. Rachel wants to see Howie succeed in the game more than she wants herself to succeed. She wants to be in the game because she's a good player, but Howie's the reason she's there. If they're going to be strategic, they will vote Rachel out, but if they are going to be vindictive, they will vote Howie out.
Beau and Ivette try to get Howie to streak across the yard. Howie wants a sock to wear. Howie tries to get them to swear on the Bible that they will vote Rachel out if he does it. Maggie says she's not going to swear on the Bible in this game. Howie says that consensu is that Rachel is going home.
Howie says that Maggie is going to be the deciding vote. Maggie says, "hey, does that mean you know how James is going to vote?" Howie says, "I don't know. I think he's going to vote out Rachel, but I don't know." Maggie has a bad feeling that they should have been focusing on James in the game.
Maggie, April and Ivette talk about James in the hot tub. April says that he wouldn't bring one of their alliance to the end. He loves Ivette but there's no way he would take her to the end.
Maggie realizes that maybe James is planning on taking Janelle to the end and says, "Oh my God!"
Julie interviews the HGs. April is sad that Jennifer left--Jennifer brought April to the game so she's going to play hard.
The kitchen table has shrunk. Maggie says it's a huge milestone and they are glad to still be here.
Julie asks some viewer questions. Who should play Ivette in the BB movie? Ivette says, "Not Selma Hayek...Julie someone on the sopranos--she looks younger."
What would Janelle do if she could leave the house for one day? She'd go to Minnesota to visit friends and family.

It's time to talk with Beau in the HOH room.
Julie asks about Beau putting up Howie and Rachel. Why not Janelle? What went into his decision? Beau says he had to be strategic and not let personality conflicts override his position. Beau says that he and Janelle are on talking terms.
What will Beau have to do to keep himself and Ivette in the game? They'll have to stay neutral and keep their friends.
Where does James stand with the group? Beau says that he's a positive for their group. They trust him with the votes.
Becky578- 08-25-2005
How is James avoiding eviction? James can't believe he's still here. Howie says that James is a strong player. Rachel acknowledges that he could be one of the last players left in the house. The HGs talk about how many vetos he has won. James says he needs to keep competing in the veto comps. James schmoozes with Howie and Janelle. Then he schmoozes the other side. He talks bad about the opposing side no matter who he's talking to. He jokes with the "girl scouts" that if he wins, he's going to put up Maggie and April and then laughs like he's joking. He tells the DR that he told the truth, he would put up Maggie and April.
James and Janelle talk about an alliance.
Becky578- 08-25-2005
How do Howie's family and friends think they have played the game? Howie's parents say that he is outrageous and outstanding.
Rachel's parents say that she's more serious and Howie is the party person.
Mike, Howie's friend, used to date Rachel. It's how the pair met. Mike thinks Howie has feelings for Rachel. Mike says that Howie has always loved boobies.
Howie's sister says that Howie has always been a wonderful brother.
Rachel's mom doesn't like the way Howie talks about women. But she admits that this is Howie's personality. She thinks Rachel is attracted to Howie.
Howie's mom thinks that Janelle is more his type.
Rachel's mom thinks that she needs someone more stable than Howie.
Becky578- 08-25-2005
The five voting HGs will cast their votes live.
April says that Howie is immature. Rachel is more mature.
James thinks that Rachel would be a good ally.
Ivette doesn't have anything good to say about Rachel.
Janelle thinks that Rachel is a stronger competitor. She feels closer to Howie.
Maggie thinks that if Howie leaves, Rachel and Janelle will lose their connection.
Ivette says that Howie has issues.
April says that she wants Howie out b/c he's disrespectful.
Janelle thinks she has a better chance of winning against Howie.
Ivette says that the less of these people we have, the better for her!
Becky578- 08-25-2005
Howie and Rachel plead their cases. Rachel says she's had an amazing summer. She thanks her friends and family and her fellow houseguests. She's glad to have met them all. She thanks Howie for everything.
Howie thanks family and friends. Thanks the HGs for putting up with him--especially April. He acknowledges that Rachel made a big committment to come with him. He's happy if he walks out of here. Don't feel bad for him.
It's time for the live vote:
Maggie votes to evict Rachel.
Janelle votes to evict Rachel.
April votes to evict Rachel.
Ivette votes to evict Rachel.

Becky578- 08-25-2005
Everyone hugs Rachel goodbye and she leaves.
The other HGs gather around to watch Rachel's picture change from color to black and white.
Julie asks Rachel why she's sitting her. Rachel says it's because Howie nominated James and Sarah.
What does Rachel think of Howie's recent behavior? Rachel says he was just expressing himself.
Does she think Howie's behavior played a role in her eviction? Rachel says that she was the stronger player and they took her out.
I missed the goodbye messages, but caught a rather mean one from Ivette (which I thought seemed like it was directed more toward Howie).

It comes down to April and Janelle at the tie-breaker in HOH.
April wins HOH.
pika- 08-25-2005
I'm so bummed that April won it!  I hope they decide to get out James this week instead of Janelle. Otherwise, it will probably be Howie or Janelle going bye-bye.
Becky578- 08-25-2005
She'll probably nominate Janelle and Howie, but they'll put James on the block if they get the POV.
BTW, there's no show on Saturday.

Re: Ivette I missed the goodbye messages, but caught a rather mean one from Ivette (which I thought seemed like it was directed more toward Howie).
That goodbye message was downright mean. I have no idea what her problem with Racheal is. But Racheal seems to know, she hinted that Ivette has issues with her. Maybe Ivette flirted with her at one time and Rachael gave her one of her evil devil looks.
Only nice goodbye messages should be shown to the evicted houseguests. There's no point in playing a nasty one. It's just mean to the outgoing HG.
pika- 08-25-2005
I agree with Matt. I"ve never heard such a nasty outgoing message. I thought they only left messages when they wanted to wish the outgoing houseguest well. It made Ivette look like even more of a bitch.
Matt- 08-25-2005
Re: Ivette Ivette's stock is really taking a nosedive with me lately. I think Maggie and James have now moved ahead of her in who I would like to see win the game.
Kitri- 08-26-2005
Ivette definately has issues and I agree that they shouldn't be showing the evicted HGs nasty messages....unless Ivette had nothing nice to say, damn bitch!
She also had some choice words for Kaysar.
She is living in la la land if she thinks she has said nothing wrong. I hope she doesn't win. As much as I'd like to see James gone, I can't stand Ivette's nasty, trash talk anymore!
