My car is dead....long live the new car I go to sign papers on today! Hooray for new wheeels! Booo for new payments!

pika- 06-07-2005

What kind of car are you getting, Jay? What color is it? Is it new or used? Congratulations on the new wheels! If you lived in town, I'd want to take a ride with you to try it out. We usually do that in my family. If somebody gets a new car, we all come over to ooh and ahh over it, take pictures of it, and take turns taking it for a drive.

Well...since the kid squad is about to expand...its a mini-van. A used Town and Country to be exact. I'll tell you more about it later as I have to leave here in just a minute to go sign the papers..........*runs out door so as not to be late*

I love mini-vans for some reason.  They have so much space and all those cupholders are great! If we had kids, we'd definitely have one! Congrats, Jay; and be sure to add some pics of the new wheels to the Car Thread! http://realityisland.8.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=108&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30

Alright.....new car update. 2001 Chrysler Town and Country van. Silver, dark blue interior, leather seats (heated front seats...ooo, posh!), 4-cd changer, all three rear doors are electric, all back seats fold forward and are removable. 35,000 miles on it...so not bad. Got a great deal on it...but I won't mock anyone with numbers. ONLY 2 bad things....car payment. Wife gets it...and I get her old Mazda MPV. Okay...she does make alot more money than me. She should get the newer wheels...but still.

I found out today that I made promotion. I will not actually get promoted till probably May but I have a line number. Yeah Me!

bookie- 06-16-2005

Congrats Slim, does that mean a change in rank? and yes I know absolutely nothing about the military

slim smurfy- 06-16-2005

Yes it will mean a change in rank....eventually. I tested back in Mar. I found out the results today and was given a line number. Over the next year they will promote so many each month based on the line numbers. Making a guess, I'm thinking it will be around May of 06 that I will sew on my new rank.

The best Father's Day present a person could get! Better get working on a name for her, though. It would be odd to have Jane Doe Fox put on her birth certificate.
