There’s one primary detail that makes all the difference, at least to me. Whether one agrees with what the US & Britain & friends are doing in Iraq or not, the fact remains that any innocent civilians that we hurt or kill are accidental; a missile that misses its target or something like that. The innocent civilians that the terrorists are killing are intentional; they are blowing up people—even their own countrymen!—on freaking purpose. The US political system isn’t perfect, and I’d like to see a greater number of honorable men & women in office for sure. However, it’s still better than negotiating with bullets and bombs as the various terrorist organizations are doing.
