The Candidates
JAMES THE WEBHEAD HOMETOWN SEATTLE, WA AGE 29 OCCUPATION INTERNET ENTREPRENEUR James, 29, immigrated from Seoul, Korea to the United States when he was four years old, and grew up in Houston, Texas and Seattle, Washington. He started a technology investment fund at age 18 with just $5000 and turned it into over $2 million at age 23, while earning his degree in business and computer information systems from the University of Washington, from which he graduated cum laude. After graduating college as a multi-millionaire, James joined one of the largest business consulting firms in the world, offering management consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. He currently lives with his wife and two children in Seattle, where he is the CEO and founder of an internet company that provides a unique approach to professional and online social networking at www.zoodango.com. James feels he should be the next Apprentice because, he says, "I bring a strong balance of Fortune 500 experience and the initiative and drive of a true entrepreneur, and I've already proven myself by achieving the 'American Dream' since I started with nothing to build everything I have today." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? True success means more than just money, big titles, or trophies. Success breeds from within and it means having peace with yourself every day. You know you've achieved it when you can wake up in the morning with passion, generate a big smile, and appreciate the simple things in life. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. During my management consulting days, I had to learn a technology solution in one night before presenting to a client's CEO and CTO. I drank three Red Bulls, memorized a new programming language, and created a national implementation plan. In business, you have to do whatever it takes to get the deal done, and I was able to solve the problem by having more tenacity and determination than my body wanted to give. Sometimes, you have to force your mentality to overcome your physical weakness. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? I learned from Randal and Sean that you have to focus on building a winning record as a project manager and rally the respect of your teammates in the process. It's extremely important to show Mr. Trump that you can lead, compete, and be victorious. Bottom line, Mr. Trump wants a winner! Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I bring a strong balance of Fortune 500 experience and the initiative and drive of a true entrepreneur, and I've already proven myself by achieving the "American Dream" since I started with nothing to build everything I have today. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The best thing about Los Angeles is the extended diversity and lifestyle. It really is a city of cities with the widest range of characters and personalities. The California coast is also one of the most beautiful scenes in the U.S. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." Believe it or not, I really missed the lack of rain. I know... I'm from Seattle... but the sound of rain is very peaceful and therapeutic. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The most surprising thing will be the caliber of Hollywood stars who make an appearance... it will be awesome! UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Happily married with two beautiful daughters. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Danny Ocean played by George Clooney in "Ocean's Eleven" because he was the "idea man." What are your three favorite albums of all time? "The Joshua Tree" by U2 "Appetite for Destruction" by Guns N' Roses "Me Against the World" by 2 Pac What are your three favorite books of all time? "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee The Bible What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? ZooViting... it's a Zoodango thing. I also love playing basketball, snorkeling, and watching Veggie Tales with my daughters.

JENN THE BLONDE HOMETOWN PHOENIX, AZ AGE 26 OCCUPATION PUBLICIST Jenn, 26, grew up in Huntington, New York and graduated from high school when she was just 16 years old. She studied sociology and communication at Arizona State University, earning a bachelor degree in interdisciplinary studies, with her last semester spent studying abroad at the University of Cambridge in England. Eager to see the world, she backpacked through Europe before returning home to earn her M.B.A. in marketing at the University of Phoenix. Now a top publicist for a public relations firm in Phoenix, Jenn develops and manages full-service media plans for major corporations. In addition, Jenn is the co-founder/editor in chief of Contact Magazine, a popular lifestyle publication. In her free time, she enjoys running, singing, acting and traveling. She thinks she should be the next Apprentice because she's "very different than anyone else Mr. Trump has ever interviewed to be his next Apprentice." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success means doing everything on your own terms. You know you are successful when you are the only one pulling the strings. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. The toughest business situation for me was when I decided to leave the so-called "rat race." I woke up one day and realized it's stupid to make other people millions of dollars instead of building wealth for myself. Why would I continue to make other people rich instead of building a business for me and my family? I solved the problem by vowing to generate my own wealth and follow in the footsteps of innovators like Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, and even Jenna Jameson... but without the porn. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? Play to win, but if you don't get over it! There are always opportunities to do something interesting with your life. Use this opportunity wisely. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? Because I'm awesome! What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? Doing everything in flip-flops and a bikini. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." Bad attitudes from wannabe hipsters. Girls who are skinnier than I am but still have big boobs. What's up with that? What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? This cast has so much personality. I think this is the most dynamic and wild cast ever. We are all completely insane. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Unmarried, no children. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Jenn Hoffman: The Movie. Just kidding! I would much rather play an outrageous character in a Scorsese, Aronofsky or Solondz movie. My favorite character ever is Sharon Stone's Ginger in "Casino." I'm just waiting for The Apprentice: The Broadway Musical. My dancing shoes are ready! What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Okay Computer" by Radiohead "Blue" by Joni Mitchell "Tidal" by Fiona Apple "Live Through This" by Hole "The Chronic 2001" by Dr. Dre What are your three favorite books of all time? My favorite thing in the world was to read. Now I'm always on the Internet instead. I read blogs all day. What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Traveling, trashing hotel rooms, drinks by the pool, running, acting, reading trashy magazines, movies, going to the beach, shopping and most of all laughing and hanging out with friends.

AARON THE ADAPTER HOMETOWN FREDERICKSBURG, VA AGE 25 OCCUPATION COMMUNITY SALES MGR. Aaron, 25, grew up in Columbia, Maryland, and earned All-conference and All-region NCAA baseball honors while getting his degree in business administration at the University of Mary Washington. He recently received his M.B.A. there in project management, and currently works as a community sales manager, managing sales and marketing operations for a Fortune 150 homebuilder. At just 25, he already has several personal property investments, and spends his spare time playing guitar, coaching baseball, riding his motorcycle and participating in triathlons. Aaron thinks he should be the next Apprentice because of his "passion for real estate along with his personal integrity, resilience and humility." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? I strive for success by setting myself apart from the crowd, through innovation, hard work, and humility. The only way to measure success is through your own personal satisfaction. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. My first Job out of college was working as an assistant to a real estate sales director. With no experience under my belt, my duties were relegated to filing, storage closet maintenance, and part-time babysitter (my boss brought her infant to our office every day). Rather than throwing in the towel and looking elsewhere, I took the opportunity to hone my skills at my assigned tasks. Although I wasn't the best babysitter it was a good lesson in modesty. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? You've got to keep your eye on the prize. Too many candidates get caught up in the personal relationships and emotional aspects of the competition. We're all there for the same reason and that's to work for Donald Trump. Never lose sight of that. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? It's a combination of passion for real estate with personal integrity, resilience, and humility that will make me the next apprentice. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The food, beaches, and no humidity. What could be better? What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." Housing prices are over inflated and the market is in decline. Affordable housing and real estate investment opportunities are few and far between. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The impact of west coast business operations added unusual and unexpected challenges. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single with no kids. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Rudy Ruettiger in "Rudy" because to say that he is inspiring is an understatement. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Songs You Know By Heart" by Jimmy Buffet "Pick You Over Me" by Don't Panic "Sun Tzu Cupid" by Joshua Brayden/Covering Fire What are your three favorite books of all time? "Catcher in the Rye" by J. D. Salinger "Good to Great" by Jim Collins "The science of Hitting" by Ted Williams What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Playing guitar, coaching baseball, motorcycling, and doing triathlons.

MARTIN THE PHILOSOPHER HOMETOWN ATLANTA, GA AGE 37 OCCUPATION ATTORNEY Martin, 37, was born in Amityville, New York and raised in Long Island. He graduated cum laude from Adelphi University with a business degree, concentrating in finance and management, and later graduated from The George Washington University National Law Center. He gained expertise representing some of the nations' largest real estate companies as a real estate attorney, and has also taught real estate and business law along with ethics, government and business policy. He is also a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. In addition, Martin served as a Board of Director member for metro New York's Make-a-Wish Foundation. He is currently the Senior Assistant City Attorney of Atlanta, handling real estate, communications, utilities and commercial transaction contracts and negotiations that affect millions of people. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters and collecting antiques, along with writing, publishing and coming up with creative lectures for classes. Martin feels he should be the next Apprentice because he says, "As an attorney and professor, I have the experience, leadership and technical know-how to run any of Trump's companies and projects." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? "I make myself rich by making my wants few," Thoreau. Success is a smile on my children's faces. As a parent, everything I do is motivated by how I can make their lives better. As an attorney, success is meeting and exceeding my clients' expectations. As a professor, success is opening the mind of that student that started the semester off in the back of the class. As a human being, success is ending the day having made the world a little better. Thus far my kids have smiled everyday I've seen them, a perfect record of success. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. My toughest business decision was a case where a client came to me accused of an unspeakable crime. I knew the case would have made headlines, but I just didn't believe his story. My boss at the time wanted me to take the case, but I chose to terminate my employment with him rather than doing something that bothered my conscience. My actions could have resulted in someone getting victimized as a result of my getting him out. I have since been very fortunate in my legal career despite taking the risk of leaving that job. Sticking with your ethics and morals always pays off in the end. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? 1) When a team member says, "trust me", run; 2) When you interrupt Trump when he is screaming at someone, you're done; and 3) If you show too much ambition, the group will let you rot in the sun. There's an ancient African saying, "Drip drip drip water will break the stone." You have to have endurance, patience and will power not to crack under all the pressure and criticism. You have to learn to smile at your enemy and outlast him. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? As an attorney and professor, I have the experience, leadership and technical know-how to run any of Trump's companies and projects. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The weather is heavenly, it's 78 and sunny everyday. You can hike, bike, swim and ski all in the same day. There aren't too many places on the planet where you can do that. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." As they say, it's not show friendship, it's show business. Anyone who lives in L.A. will tell you that it's hard to connect with people, everyone is so focused on looks and your connection to show business. Coming from the east coast, it was hard for me to deal with that level of shallowness. We are generally up front and vocal as to how we feel. That truthfulness sometimes irks people but it's better than a facade. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? Pain, suffering and much gnashing of teeth!!! This season is by far the most intense thing America has seen on reality TV in a long while. Get your position early at the water coolers because there will be much to talk about the day after each show. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Married and with two kids. The first time I ever saw my wife was on the alter; she was the Godmother and I was the Godfather for my friend's Christening. We have been together ever since. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I would want to star in a remake of Akira Kurasawa's "Seven Samurai." There is a character who is an expert samurai swordsman who stood for what was moral and right. At nightfall when the town he is protecting is attacked by primitive guns, he bravely runs into the fog armed with a sword. That morning he quietly walks out of the fog with an armful of guns and silently drops them at the feet of his apprentice. The overwhelming firepower of the guns was no match for his skills. In my career, I always tried to practice law attempting to have the skill sets needed to take out those guns, no matter how big, no matter how many. Being half Asian, I love concepts of the samurai codes and the spiritual will power needed to accomplish your goals. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Book of Love" by Book of Love "Red Hot and Rio," a bossa-nova album "Hush" by Yo-Yo Ma and Bobby McFerrin... simply brilliant. What are your three favorite books of all time? The Bible "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint Exupery "Power, Influence and Profiling" by me! What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? As we say down south, I love to go "junkin'." That is, to go antiquing and attending estate sales. I have found amazingly valuable pieces of furniture thrown out on sidewalks!!! I also like to tap the creative side of the brain. I write and even took acting classes to explore the creative side. Those skill sets also helped me in my practice as an attorney. I also love to hike. When you have a ton of responsibilities and cases, there's nothing like a good hike to free your mind. It's incredibly therapeutic.

Stefani graduated in the top 10% of her class from Southwestern University School of Law in their prestigious SCALE program, the only two-year Juris Doctor program in the United States accredited by the American Bar Association. In her spare time, she enjoys snow skiing, golf, tennis, scuba diving, karate, motorcyle riding and volunteering. Stefani says, "I should be the next Apprentice because I lead by being enthusiastic, and enthusiasm is contagious and motivates people to work much harder." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success is when you follow through and achieve the goals you've set for yourself, whatever they may be. Success is about never giving up and never being afraid to fail. Every failure makes you that much stronger... and that much more determined. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. The toughest business situation I've ever had to deal with was deciding whether to give up a chance at partnership and a great career at my law firm in order to appear on The Apprentice - I had to resign. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? I've learned from watching past Apprentice winners never to lose my cool. "Never let them see you sweat!" Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? (No answer provided.) What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? There's just something laid back and sexy about Los Angeles. I like knowing that I can leave work at the end of the day and drive home via PCH with the top down on my car. It's an almost Zen-like transition to relaxation and a great way to unwind after a day of litigation. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." Superficial people with attitudes and issues. People who lack substance and are more interested in themselves than about how to make a difference in the world. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? Things are never the way they seem, and the rules are subject to change at any time without warning. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Divorced, no children. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I'd like to be Rene Russo in the remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair." Russo's character in the movie was so smart and sexy. What are your three favorite albums of all time? Too hard to narrow it down. I love Nickelback, Evanescence and Sting. What are your three favorite books of all time? Also too hard to narrow down "Fish" by Stephen Lundin (great way to boost morale) "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown "The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Snow skiing, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, tennis, golf, karate, working out, reading, and modeling.

She currently works for a New York agency that litigates family law matters. In her spare time, Muna enjoys dancing, learning how to play the piano and reading in French and Spanish. She says she should be the next Apprentice because her "background in international trade and foreign languages run in tandem with the Trump Organization's increasingly global integration." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success to me means when I've given my absolute best and when my work has inspired someone else to aim higher and increase their faith. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. The toughest business decision I've ever had to deal with was when I was faced with a conflict between two business deals of opposing appeal. Conventional reasoning would have me opt for deal number one that was conservative and sure. Deal number two, on the other hand, was exciting, had a lot of potential but was very risky. I solved my dilemma by praying about my situation and trusting my intuition. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? From past Apprentice winners and candidates I have learned that things are not as simple as they may seem, that dealing with stressful situations in front of any audience requires character, and finally that it really helps to be able to laugh at yourself sometimes. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I think I should be the next Apprentice because my background in international trade and foreign languages runs in tandem with the Trump organization's increasing global integration. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The sun, the ocean view and the mountains - they all remind me of sweet, sweet Jamaica. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." It would be nice if L.A. were closer to Jamaica. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The incredible tasks and unforgettable rewards! UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I would star in "Silence of the Lambs" because of the very strong female lead. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "The Legend" the classic Bob Marley compilation "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack "The Best of Andrew Lloyd Webber" What are your three favorite books of all time? "Long Walk to Freedom" by Nelson Mandela "The Wind and Rain on Telume Miracle" by Simone Schwartz-Bart "Simple Abundance" by Sarah Ban Breathnach What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Horseback riding, reading Spanish and French literature, baking, and learning how to play the piano.

Success means working hard to achieve a goal so at the end of the day you have absolutely no regrets. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. Investing when the market is good and having the resilience to hold on when it takes a downturn. I have had to hold onto several investments when everyone was getting out. I have learned that over time the market will always rebound back. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? You have to be creative on tasks - think outside of the box. Previous winners have always listened to the group but have gone out on a limb when appropriate. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? Past performance predicts future performance. I have already demonstrated that if you work hard you can be the best in the world and I plan to take that mentality to the business world. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The beaches, the attitude, and the amount of things to do. There are always great restaurants, clubs, and shows to see. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." The fact that everything is so spread out. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The living situation... it really surprised me. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? No ring, no kids. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? DEREK THE RISKTAKER HOMETOWN LOS ANGELES, CA AGE 34 OCCUPATION VP OF BUSINESS & LEGAL AFFAIRS Derek, 34, grew up in Covina, California, and graduated cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and an emphasis in business administration. He later graduated cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. As a first-year lawyer, he rose to the challenge of being assigned by his law firm to be sole clearance attorney for "The Man Show," starring Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla - two personalities who were always pushing the boundaries in terms of legally questionable stunts. Now the vice president of business and legal affairs for a movie studio, Derek negotiates deals relating to motion picture production and provides legal counsel to the studio's home entertainment division. When he's not working, Derek is a huge reality TV fan and an avid bicyclist who helps train riders for a California bike-riding fundraiser for AIDS services and education. Derek thinks he should be the next Apprentice because, he says, "I'm not afraid to take risks and make my voice heard, and while I generally respect boundaries, I'm never afraid to overstep them for the sake of advancement of a good idea." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success means being able to take lessons from difficult and challenging situations and using them to better yourself. A successful person must always be willing to put himself in circumstances that can be scary and intimidating for the sake of personal growth. And sometimes the lessons you learn from just attempting and then failing can be far more valuable. So, as long as I continue to never be afraid to take chances and put myself at risk for failure, then I consider myself successful. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. For entertainment lawyers, the success of our business hinges on whether we can help our clients execute their creative vision while also ensuring they don't get sued. When I was a first-year attorney, I was the clearance lawyer for a successful sketch comedy show; the hosts of which were always pushing the legal boundaries with what they wanted on the program. The most difficult situation involved them wanting to put a hidden camera in a public bathroom to see if unwitting people would fish out $5 bills from toilets filled with fake urine. After some preliminary research, I discovered that there was a state statute that prohibited placing video cameras in dressing rooms and public restrooms if the intent was to invade someone's privacy. As a rookie lawyer I had no clue how the show could possibly get around this legal obstacle, but after some creative thinking I told the producers to remove the bathroom stall doors so that anyone entering the stall would have no expectation of privacy. If there was no expectation of privacy, then there was no way the show could invade it, and therefore, it wouldn't be illegal to videotape unsuspecting people reaching into toilet bowls, some of whom did so after using the toilet themselves! And for solving problems like this I went to law school?! What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? When Bradford unnecessarily gave up his immunity on Season 2, I remember yelling at the TV, "Your ass is gone!" And if you don't learn to keep your mouth shut in the boardroom from watching mouthy candidates from seasons past, then you quickly learn it the first time you find yourself sitting across from Mr. Trump. Sometimes your survival in the boardroom hinges solely on whether you have backup from your friends, regardless of your performance on the task. Toral from season 4 barely avoided a firing after Rebecca stuck up for her in the boardroom. Making sure that people like you as a person is just as important as performing well on a task, because if things go wrong, you want friends to help you lay blame on someone else. Finally, you can never rest on your laurels on The Apprentice. Tarek and his membership in MENSA is a perfect example. Who cares what someone scores on a test to get into a group of intellectual (but socially-stunted) snobs? The only thing that matters in this interview process is how well you apply your intelligence and common sense to the task. If you focus on touting your own past accomplishments and not enough on performing as part of a team, someone will always be there to call you out on it. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I'm not afraid to take risks, make my voice heard, and while I generally respect boundaries, I'm never afraid to overstep them for the sake of advancement of a good idea. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? It's my hometown! All of my friends that I grew up with are here. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." A certain portion of the Los Angeles citizenry are afflicted with the infamous "L.A. Attitude", which can make living here sometimes irritating. I speak of those people who are obsessed with the entertainment industry and all of the material trappings that go along with it. To see them in their native (and oh-so-annoying) habitat, simply walk along the trendy shops on Robertson Blvd. and witness the sugar-daddy supported, under-fed waifs with their tiny dogs walking amongst the surly Hollywood agents and wannabes with oversized sunglasses, all of whom act as if the world revolves around them. Fortunately, however, if you can find your way past these miscreants, you'll find that L.A. is full of some genuinely nice people. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The interview process this time has some crazy twists, including one that makes executing tasks more difficult if you lost the previous task. Trump definitely stepped up the game, making it unlike any other season. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I'd be Cartman in "South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut." In what other movie could I be the chubby hero who helps stop a war while singing musical numbers full of profanity? What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Jagged Little Pill" by Alanis Morissette "American Idiot" by Green Day "The Prayer Cycle" by Jonathan Elias What are your three favorite books of all time? "His Dark Materials" Trilogy by Philip Pullman "The DaVinci Code" by Dan Brown "Executive Orders" by Tom Clancy What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? I've always got half-completed home improvement projects going on in every room of my house, so that keeps me pretty busy on the weekends. I'm also into bicycling and currently volunteer as a trainer helping new riders prepare for the California AIDS/Lifecycle, a 7-day, 545 mile bicycle fundraiser for AIDS services and education.

TIM THE MUSICIAN HOMETOWN LOS ANGELES, CA AGE 24 OCCUPATION TUTORING CO. OWNER Tim, 24, was born and raised outside of Boston in Newton, Massachusetts, and graduated cum laude from Harvard University, where he majored in government. He moved to Los Angeles after college to write music and began tutoring on the side, but his side business proved so successful that he and a partner wound up launching an academic tutoring company, The Cartim Group, when Tim was just 22. Now running the company's daily operations, Tim employs 20 tutors and projects his company's annual revenue at over $1 million. Still devoted to his main passion - writing music - Tim spends his free time composing and playing the piano, and his first album is expected to be released in early 2007. "I should be the next Apprentice," he says, "because I have always welcomed a massive challenge, and I approach everything I take on with passion and energy." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? For me, if I'm being creative and I feel like I'm maximizing what I can do, I'll feel successful in my career. But looking at the whole picture, the most important thing is that I have a reasonable amount of free time. You can have the greatest career in the world, but if you're working 60 or 70 hours a week, who cares? You're working all the time. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. I started my business two years ago, so I don't have too many stories yet - the toughest thing for me was starting it up in the first place. When I moved to Los Angeles out of college, I came here to write music. I had no idea where to start in this massive city, or how to support myself. Tutoring seemed like a good way to do it, and I knew that if I got my own students, rather than work for a company, the ceiling on where I could go with it would be very high. That sounds good in theory, but it took a bunch of months of putting my flyer around and visiting schools before I had my first tutoring job. Finally, things got going and then started to snowball. I began hiring other tutors and now it's turned into a decent-sized company. In this case, holding out to find my own work was definitely worth it. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? A group of Apprentice candidates is a lot like a group of high schoolers. They're cliquey, and in an environment where everyone is fighting for their life, a group tends to turn on one outcast. So the first rule is to make sure you're not that outcast. The second thing I've noticed is that you can't win by flying under the radar. I think you have to take an aggressive approach, which might get you kicked off early, but it's also the only way to win. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I have always welcomed a massive challenge and approach everything I take on with passion and energy. That's basically what he wants... right? What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? No one is really employed in this city. So it's easy to feel good about yourself. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." Guys in this city are ridiculously fashionable. And I'm the least stylish guy ever. Whatever. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? My jaw hit the floor about 6 to 8 times during the experience by something completely unexpected happening. Let's just leave it at that. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I'd be the count in the Count of Monte Cristo. Nothing beats good old-fashioned revenge. And it would be cool to be a Count. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Magical Mystery Tour" by The Beatles "The Stranger" by Billy Joel "Big Ones" by Aerosmith No, I'm not hip. What are your three favorite books of all time? Catch-22 is the best book ever, by far. The other two would have to be Exodus and The Fountainhead, when I finally finish it. What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? I play the piano all the time. Writing and playing music is definitely my "thing." I also obsess over my fantasy baseball and football teams, although that's a sore subject at the moment. Who thought Kevin Jones would actually continue to be good? I really was sure I was selling him high at the time. And if you can call traveling a hobby, I'm big on that. Any country I haven't been to is a pretty exciting thought to me.

KRISTINE THE SCHMOOZER HOMETOWN LOS ANGELES, CA AGE 37 OCCUPATION ATTORNEY Kristine, 37, a self-described "Army brat," was born in Frankfurt, Germany and grew up primarily in Hawaii and Colorado. She received her bachelor's degree in criminology at Metropolitan State College of Denver, and modeled in Miami and Milan to help pay for law school at Florida's Nova Southeastern University. She has represented some of the biggest names in entertainment and in the sports community, including Shaquille O'Neal, Dan Marino, the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Kings. In her current job at a high-profile Los Angeles law firm, she handles sports and entertainment licensing as well as mergers and acquisitions. In her spare time, Kristine enjoys surfing and hiking with her husband, Ludovic Lefebvre, the former executive chef at two of L.A.'s famed restaurants, L'Orangerie and Bastide, and once named one of the top 50 chefs in the world. She says, "I should be the next Apprentice because I bring an unmatched unique combination of real world business experience, education, and life experiences that have taught me to balance and weigh all sides of any business situation." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Not hearing the words "You're fired" uttered out of Mr. Trump's mouth. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. I was dealing with a very unhappy party who was threatening to sue my celebrity client and make a public mess of the situation a couple of days before Christmas. I knew that I did not want this to get in the way of everyone's holidays. I had one of two ways to react: with the same amount of anger and threats or simply try to make the situation go away. The attorney representing the claimed aggrieved party is well known in the industry as a screamer and a difficult person. I knew it would be risky, but I decide to play nice. The attorney would call me up yelling, so in the middle of one of his tirades I decided to ask him about his holiday plans with his family. I got dead silence on the other end of the phone for a couple of seconds, but then he started to soften and tell me about his plans. My goal was accomplished because I made him realize that he had more important things to do than make a mountain out of a molehill. The very next day, he told me that he had convinced his client that we could amicably resolve the situation and litigation was not going to be necessary. About 72 hours later everyone had reached an agreement and had a wonderful holiday season. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? Need I say more than "Bradford?" NEVER give up exemption. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I should be the next Apprentice because I bring an unmatched, unique combination of real world business experience, education, and life experiences that have taught me to balance and weigh all sides of any business situation. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? L.A. is a town where people have been coming for years to realize their dreams. It does not matter how big or small those dreams are, people are here trying and that creates such a great energy. You hear that someone became an overnight success, but in reality they have been working relentlessly for years and years to become that "overnight success." I don't think there is anywhere else in the world where so many people are trying to live their dreams. Of course, the weather here is pretty amazing too. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." L.A. is very spread out; you can't walk anywhere. Unless you live and work at the beach, you just have to get in the car and drive and drive and drive. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? I think we see Mr. Trump smile more than once. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? I have been married for seven years to an amazing French man named Ludovic Lefebvre, who happens to be an extremely talented chef. We are in the process of adopting a little orphaned girl from China. We will be making the trip to China to pick up our daughter in the fall of '07. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Michael Douglas in "Wall Street." Gordon Gekko has the passion that one needs to be successful, but his ruthless and greedy approach to business are truly troubling. To be able to dig down deep and find those emotions would be a great challenge. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Purple Rain" by Prince "Like a Virgin" by Madonna "No Fences" by Garth Brooks What are your three favorite books of all time? "Tuesdays with Morrie" by Mitch Albom "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho "Crave, A Feast of the Five Senses" by Ludovic Lefebvre What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Yoga, hiking, surfing, eating my husband's cooking and drinking fine French wine with good friends.

FRANK THE MOUTH HOMETOWN BRONX, NY AGE 27 OCCUPATION FOUNDER & CEO / CONTRACTING CO. Frank, 27, was raised in Bronx, New York, attending Westchester Community College and graduating from the POHS Institute of Insurance. Eager to make his mark in the world, he launched his own company when he was just 21 years old and turned it into a multi-million dollar construction firm. He also helped launched a high-tech computer company that can connect remotely to any computer on the internet to fix personal computers in minutes without consumers ever having to leave their home or office. With a true passion for construction, Frank spends his spare time looking for new real estate development opportunities, and also enjoys spending time with friends. "I should be the next Apprentice," Frank says, "because I possess the confidence to rise to any occasion and my charismatic personality allows me to handle any situation with ease." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success to me is when I can stand back and look at a building that I've constructed and know that it is there because of my drive to succeed. Success is something that is ongoing; it takes perseverance and hard work on a day-to-day basis to get it and to keep it. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. I had purchased a property in Peekskill, NY that was located near wetlands; it was also considered to be a historic site. Unfortunately, I received notice that I was unable to build on the property due to these issues. I had to deal directly with the Army Core of Engineers to determine exactly what the issues were and how I could resolve them. I hired a team of engineers to survey my property, and working closely with them I was able to demonstrate that my property was just outside of the wetland areas. After the survey was complete I was able to show that according to their own regulations I was within my rights to build on the property. The house that was on the property was considered to be a historic site due to its age and history. However, over the years the property had fallen into a state of disrepair and was now a hazard to the general public. I provided evidence of several major hazards that existed on the property, which provided me with the justification to demolish the existing house. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? I learned that at the end of the day you have to be confident and work hard. You have to show that you want the job. You need to be able to make decisions and stand behind them no matter what the outcome. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? When it comes down to it, and you need something done right, I am the one who will work the hardest until the job is finished. I have a natural ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus on the goal. I can think quickly and make important decisions without hesitation. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The beaches and the ocean are beautiful. It's a laid back scene and everyone goes with the flow. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." I'm not crazy about the temperature dropping every night and it raining every morning. The scorching hot afternoons and cold nights are too drastic for me. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? This season will definitely keep people on the edge of their seats, from romances to cutthroat action this is going to be the best season yet. The competition is fierce and each week is better then the last. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I would want to be Bruce Williams in "Armageddon"; this is one of my favorite movies of all time. In the movie he is the best deep core driller in the world and when asked for help he steps up to the plate without hesitation. He ends up making the ultimate sacrifice to save the world and is a true hero. His selflessness is something that everyone should strive to have. I respect his character and admire the strength and compassion that he displays. What are your three favorite albums of all time? Frank Sinatra Billy Joel Andrea Bocelli I love all their albums! What are your three favorite books of all time? "Lord Of Flies" by William Golding "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" by Steven King "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert T. Kiyosaki What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? I like to play a round of golf with my father on a Sunday morning while smoking a fine cigar. It's good to take a break from work to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. I also like looking for new development sites and envisioning what can be done with a piece of potential property.

"Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Happiness (or the feeling of fulfillment) is the measured result I strive for in every endeavor. It's fair to say that being happy is my definition of success. I love this quote: "If your success is not on your own terms, if it looks good to the world but does not feel good in your heart, it is not success at all." - Anna Quindlen Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. I deal with tough business situations every day; no issue seems to be more difficult than another. What matters is focusing on the fact that communication and respect are the keys to conflict resolution. Anything is possible when people feel significant. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? People will do whatever it takes to get what they want. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I have the smarts, integrity and drive for anything possible. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? Frank Sinatra comes to mind, "blue skies smiling at me. Nothing but blue skies do I see." What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." I absolutely love Los Angeles, so I'd have to say my least favorite thing about it is the lack of pride Angelenos seem to possess for their extraordinary city. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The outdoor adventures. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single; never been married. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Dyer "1,000 Places to See Before You Die" by Patricia Schultz What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Traveling, learning foreign languages, politics, writing, river rafting, hiking, dancing, and photography.

CAREY THE PERFECTIONIST HOMETOWN ATLANTA, GA AGE 25 OCCUPATION PRES./OWNER MRKTG. & PROMOTIONS FIRM Carey, 25, grew up in Atlanta and currently resides there. Not satisfied with working in a conventional office environment, he left to pursue his real passion - marketing. Carey's flair for crafting innovative promotions helped him launch his own event marketing and promotions firm, whose high-profile clients have included Adidas America and Stoli Vodka, as well as Atlanta's High Museum of Art, Turner South, Verizon Wireless through its agency partner Mini Mobile Media, and Cartoon Network through Hothouse Inc. He has served as National Political Director for the College Democrats of America, one of the youth arms of the Democratic National Committee, and was one of the youngest members of the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Carey enjoys playing flag football for the Atlanta Storm, an NFFLA team, working out, indoor rock climbing and creating "fashion forward couture" from items he finds at thrift shops. He says, "I should be the next Apprentice because I am a marketing guru, and that's what this show is all about!" "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success to me is a "full circle" concept. It's not about having everything you want, but rather getting everything you want out of life. To me personally it's when my client calls me back because we have done such a great job, or they refer us to someone. WOM (word of mouth) is the #1 most powerful marketing tool, and it's a great feeling when I'm talking to new clients and they tell me a current client told them to call us. To be successful you can't reinvent the wheel. You have to create a totally new wheel that is different, new, bold, creative, and innovative. Since success in its true form is intangible, it can only be measured by you. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. I am not really sure that I have had to deal with tough situations. I mean, I think everyone has days where shipments are late, event trucks are broken down, in-market staffers are late or don't show up at all, event sampling product is damaged from the heat, or a client pulls the plug on a program because it's just not what they thought it was going to be, or you lose thousands of dollars because your client cannot be happy! I am sure these things happen to everyone... or maybe just me. The key to survive is a flawless game plan. And even if you drop the ball, always offer a backup solution. Be smart and truthful to your client and never leave your office without a backup plan because, as we all know, what can go wrong will go wrong! What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? It's imperative that you learn how to manage personalities. You can be the CEO or the President of the United States, but if you don't know how to manage characters (a.k.a. personalities) and make people feel a certain way, stroke their ego when need be, or persuade them to do things they would never do, then you will fail at this process. This is a good lesson before dying... or maybe just before starting the Apprentice interview process. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? Well it's very simple. I am the best of the best of the best. I would make the perfect Apprentice because I embody all the traits of a smart, successful businessperson; plus, I am completely creative and wild. I love to take BIG risks. BIG risks yields BIG returns, and I think that's who and what the next Apprentice should be about. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? My favorite thing about L.A. is the Abbey in West Hollywood and shopping on Robertson with a little pit stop at The Ivy for lunch. There is a really awesome paintball course near Long Beach that I love so much. But there is nothing better in life then driving from Malibu down PCH to the Santa Monica Pier while being chased by LAPD for stalking your favorite celeb! (It's a beautiful drive, just watch out for the spikes). What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." Ok, I know it's off limits but traffic on the 405 and Dodger Stadium. The Stadium is so old and crappy. Egh! Oh yeah... and the fact that there could be an earthquake any time. Not good. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? This season is Mark Burnett's best work ever! He has single handedly been able to cross two #1 shows together, The Apprentice and Survivor, a combination that will captivate auditions all over America. I think that fans are going to love it. The drama, the yelling, the sex... The best part about the show is the team you think should win never does and you never know who is going to get fired. Just when you think you know, you realize that you have no idea! Think Vegas baby. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? I am happily in a relationship and we have been together for three years and counting. This is of course unless Seal and Heidi Klum break up and Heidi calls me and tells me I am the man of her dreams! If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Ryan Philippe in "Cruel Intentions." I am not sure why I love that movie so much, but I do. I think it was my break through movie as a teen because those characters were nothing like me or my friends, but we wanted to be like them (kind of like today's generation is all about the movie "Mean Girls"). I never knew that people could be so ruthless, dirty, and cruel, and I loved every minute of it. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Yourself or Someone Like You" by Matchbox 20 "The Buena Vista Social Club" Jock Jams, Volume 3 What are your three favorite books of all time? "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck "A Lesson Before Dying" by Ernest Gaines "My Life" by Bill Clinton What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? I really enjoy playing flag football for the Atlanta Storm an NFFLA Team, working out, shopping at the thrift store and creating fashion forward couture from items found, paint ball, and indoor rock climbing, and the gym. Working out is my vice, plus having a nice body makes for a great summer!

She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in political science at Florida Atlantic University and then earned her law degree at the University of Baltimore School of Law. Her passion for politics and law led her to two coveted internships, first for a congressman while earning her undergraduate degree, and later as a law clerk for the Attorney General of Maryland in Annapolis while she attended law school. Now Marisa works for one of the most prominent law firms in the country and specializes in securities fraud, consumer fraud and anti-trust litigation. She currently litigates multi-million dollar class action lawsuits on behalf of shareholders and consumers damaged by corporate fraud. In addition, she plays a key role in the firm's investment outreach program, regularly meeting with public and private pension funds, retirement systems and other institutional investors to educate them about the firm's proprietary portfolio monitoring program. Marisa attributes her success to her strong family foundation, and enjoys volunteering for political campaigns and elections in her spare time. She says, "I should be the next Apprentice because my legal and political background have enabled me to take on many challenges and achieve success, and these experiences will allow me to showcase my leadership ability in addition to my strong work ethic." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success means always striving to achieve all of the goals that you have set out for yourself - it is not as important to always win - but it is important that you always try to succeed and never give up, regardless of the obstacles that may exist. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. The toughest business decision that I have had to deal with involved choosing the practice of law after graduation as opposed to immediately focusing on my political aspirations. I had to put my financial interests above my dreams of running for office and establish myself as a successful professional before entering the political arena. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? Past Apprentice candidates have taught me to always face challenges head on and stand up for those issues that you believe in. Also, I have learned to never compromise your integrity. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I should be the next Apprentice because my legal and political backgrounds have enabled me to take on my challenges and achieve success, and these experiences will allow me to showcase my leadership ability in addition to my strong work ethic. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? My favorite things about Los Angeles are the restaurants and shopping. Both are truly unbelievable in the city. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." I really do not have a least favorite thing about Los Angeles - the city is amazing. What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The viewers will be most surprised by the amazing rewards that each team wins during season six. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? I am single and I have no children. All tall, good-looking professional men please take note. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? I would star as Erin Brokovich in the movie "Erin Brokovich" because I adore Julia Roberts and think that her portrayal of Erin Brokovich was extremely compelling. Also, I watched that movie when I was in college preparing to enter law school and the movie truly inspired me to always fight the good fight. It shows that one woman really can make a difference. As a result, I concentrated in toxic tort law while in law school. What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Ten" by Pearl Jam "Remember Two Things" by the Dave Matthews Band "The Joshua Tree" by U2 What are your three favorite books of all time? "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald "Animal Farm" by George Orwell "Night" by Elie Wiesel What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Pilates, watching college and NFL football, and traveling.

Surya's entrepreneurial spirit was evident early on when he started a successful e-commerce strategy company at age 15. Subsequently, he attended college and worked full-time as director of marketing at a publishing/web company, overseeing a significant marketing budget. While at Rutgers University, he was class president and commencement speaker, graduating with honors and earning a B.S. degree in finance and psychology. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, playing basketball, reading and traveling. Surya says he should be the next Apprentice because he "can operate with the passion and energy of an entrepreneur and bring along the discipline and savvy of a corporate executive." "Success" can mean different things to different people; what does it mean to you and how will you know when you've achieved it? Success to me is simple and ongoing. Success is to be able to wake up every morning, look at yourself in the mirror, and be proud of the person who looks back at you. It's not about achieving this, winning that, or earning X amount of money. Success is a process. Describe the toughest business situation you've had to deal with and what you did to solve the problem. The toughest business situation I've had to deal with was at 21 when I had to pick the path of my business future: I could continue on the path that I had been on, entrepreneurism, and start my own business or I could accept this incredible opportunity to go work at a Fortune 50 firm. In many ways, going to corporate America would be the exact opposite of all of my work experience, and I was very torn because I loved being an entrepreneur. In the end, after wrestling with the decision, I chose to join the firm because it's the foremost place in the world to learn about marketing and observe how the very best in corporate America thinks. What lessons have you learned from past Apprentice winners or candidates? From watching Randal, I observed how to be cool under the worst of circumstances. Why should you be Donald Trump's next Apprentice? I should be the next Apprentice because given my background, I can operate with the passion and energy of an entrepreneur and bring along the discipline and savvy of a corporate executive. What's your favorite thing about Los Angeles? The weather in L.A. is amazing! No humidity and a cool breeze. What's your least favorite thing about Los Angeles? And you're not allowed to say "traffic." I may have observed a certain amount of obsession with material possessions... What will surprise viewers about this sixth season of The Apprentice? The candidate backstabbing. UP CLOSE What's your marital/parental status? Single. If you could be the star of any movie ever made, which movie would it be and why? Braveheart. It's one of the most amazing movies ever - all about honor, courage, following your heart and choosing the "hard right" over the "easy wrong." I've probably watched Braveheart over a 100 times! What are your three favorite albums of all time? "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen "All Eyez On Me" by Tupac "Parachutes" by Coldplay What are your three favorite books of all time? "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri "Robert Kennedy: His Life" by Evan Thomas "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck What hobbies do you enjoy, outside of trying to impress Donald Trump? Volunteering, playing basketball, reading about history/politics, and being involved with anything Rutgers!
