TAR: Season 1 To Be Released On DVD 9/27
Holy tacos! I just found out today that the first season of TAR will be released on DVD September 27th. :grin: The DVD will include the following bonus features: "All Access Pass" - 90 minutes of additional scenes not shown on television, including the unaired first Roadblock. In-depth interviews with host Phil Keoghan and executive producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Bertram van Munster. Audio commentaries on 4 episodes: -Commentary on 2 episodes by Rob & Brennan and Team Guido -Commentary on 2 episodes by Karyn & Lenny and Drew & Kevin As someone who hasn't seen the enitre first season, this is definitely a must-see DVD for me. My wife hasn't seen it either, so it'll be a treat for her as well.

I saw that on Amazon, and was so excited because I only started watching Season 5. It will be like watching a whole new season for me! Got to mark September 27th on the calendar...

There are are plans to also release season 7 sometime in the near future. It was the most watched season of them all, therefore it gets released on DVD before seasons 2-6.

It's interesting they are going to follow their most watched season, with something that is probably going to hit an all time rating's low. Isn't it time for a TAR all-stars yet?

Yeah, I know what you mean, Idolfan. I'm not really all that excited for this new family edition. Hopefully it'll be so much better than I predict, though. Just what where the producers thinking when they came up with this idea? Ugh. :roll:

It's not the kids I'm worried about... they'll most likely be eliminated right away anyway. It's the fact that each of the teams are so big. I just don't think it'll be as interesting as in the past seasons. Hopefully I'm wrong.

It isn't really the kids I'm worried about either. I agree with Matt. The work is going to be divided in 4, not 2, which can lead to the teams always being energetic (because they don't all have to work as much) or it can lead to differences of opinion and it will take forever to go places.

Getting plane tickets and cab rides for the 4 members of the team (plus one for the cameraman) is going to be a pain in the neck.

Seems like one of the articles I read mentioned the teams driving SUVs when they came through Alabama, so maybe they drive themselves around alot, at least while they are in the US? They could get 4 people plus a couple of camera dudes in a big SUV with no problem.

The commentary track by Kevin and Drew should be full of laughs. They were one of my favorite teams, I wish there were more teams like those two. Team Guido, on the other hand... blech!

I was looking over eBay and I saw that all seasons are for sale. Some have recorded them all on DVD if anyone is interested. Some good deals over there.

O yeah...bought it. It now awaits my viewing pleasure. :grin: Excuse me while I do my happy dance! :lol:
