Superman
Sooooo, who's going today? Lucky for me - I am. /sarcasm The boyfriend wanted to go last night since there was a 10.00 show all over the city (and other cities, I'm sure) but I said "absolutely not!". I have to draw the line somewhere. I'm eager to see it, just not as eager as he is, I guess. (fwiw, he's a bigger fan of Batman than pretty boy Kent)

well heck, tell him I'll go with him then  actually I'm just a fan of the old tv series...the really really old one LOL

What's funniest about this is that he's phoned twice already asking me to leave work early. I told him I'd leave around 4. Then he phoned again and asked if I wanted to just "take a long lunch". :: shakes head and giggles ::

Well, I saw it. I didn't love it. I thought it was good though. I liked the guy playing Superman though when I thought I wouldn't at all. I don't know what it was about it. Slow start, for sure. And I never felt Lex Luther was terribly evil so the feeling one gets at good triumphing over evil never hit me. I don't know if it was bad casting in Kevin Spacey (who normally I love) or if it was just poor character development in the writing. It's worth seeing though and I think they set it up well for another film. Best part was the Spiderman trailer before the film. The crowd went absolutely nuts.

"Long lunches" should involve only one guy and definately no tights.         And I am glad you enjoyed the movie so much.

Re: Superman Returns
From those that have seen it, I hear the movie is a little dull and the acting is kinda lifeless and wooden. I wasn't in a big hurry to see Superman Returns in the first place and the reviews sure haven't changed my mind about it. I've yet to see a great review. Most say the movie is just ok, not great. I'll check it out when it comes out on DVD.
