Suggested reading for the housewives

Pay close mind to the section that warns single mothers against confiding too much in their teenage daughters. LYNETTE SCAVO (Felicity Huffman): Lynette, those kids are way out of control. It's time to hit the books, specifically, "1-2-3 Magic: Effective Discipline for Children 2-12" by Thomas W. Phelan and "Settling Limits with Your Strong-Willed Child" by Robert J. Mackenzie. They can only help. GABRIELLE SOLIA (Eva Longoria): Gabrielle, no day job, even one where you get to wear a negligee, is going to dig you out of the financial hole you're in. Strongly recommended reading: "Prince Charming Isn't Coming: How Women Get Smart About Money," by Barbara Stanny. EDIE BRITT (Nicollette Sheridan): For you, Edie, there's a dear children's book with pictures that will teach you to make nice. Have someone read you "How to Be a Friend : A Guide to Making Friends and Keeping Them" by Laurie Krasny Brown, illustrated by Marc Brown.
