Show Summary Thursday, September 1 James looks like he knows his fate is sealed. Will the plan work to backdoor James? Tonight is another live vote. This is also another double eviction week! Someone will win HOH tonight and immediately make their nominations.
Will Ivette be the key to James' survival? April is shown using the POV and follow through with her plan to backdoor James. Howie tries to joke with James about how they are backdooring the POV king, but James says, "It's not time for jokes, Howie." Ivette throws herself at James and holds him. Then she goes with him to the gold room and they cry together. Ivette fills James in on how the decision was made.
Ivette says that she relates to James and bonds to him. Ivette tries to convince Maggie otherwise. Maggie says she'd rather see James win than the other two. But he has three days now til the vote.
Howie makes Ivette mad when he is too loud while she is napping. James uses it as a chance to campaign against Howie. Howie gets mad. James thinks that he can get Ivette and Beau to vote for him and he may be able to convince Janelle to stick with him--he'd be a better partner til the end. Janelle says she just feels so bad for Howie.
Then some other stuff happened, but I got a phone call.
Julie talks to HGs and asks about Janelle's phone call to Michael. Janelle thanks America. The fans want to know what Maggie has been doing to lose weight. Maggie says that she's been running and working out every day. And lots of laughter. She asks Ivette what she wants waiting for her if she wins HOH. Ivette says a picture of her beautiful girlfriend who she misses. America wants to know which fellow HG would be the worst permanent roommate. Beau says Howie. Then takes it back--Janelle. All of her stuff is everywhere!

It's been quite a week for April--HOH, POV. What does her family think? Well, we'll tell you.
Melanie and Kelly are her sorority sisters? They assure us that April is extremely intelligent. They think she should shut her mouth sometimes.
April's husband doesn't like Howie. He doesn't appreciate what he did to his wife. He says he's big boned, but he's not fat--he just wants to say that. "You want some of this, Howie? You want some of this?"
Pepperoni is sad.
Matt was glad to see her win POV. He thinks that some of the others have labeled April as a weak player. He thinks she's doing great in the game.
Julie talks to April in the HOH room. She asks if it was a strategy to just fly under the radar. She says it was. She just wanted to come in the house for Jennifer and the experience. Whatever happens is fine, but when it was time to step it up, she did. She says that Maggie is her new partner. If James leaves tonight, there will be pairs left.
Where do things stand between April and Ivette? April says that she has faith that Ivette will stay with the friendship.

Jennifer and Rachel are shown living in the sequester house, which is in the middle of a field. It's kind of like a ranch--not the tropical paradise of last year.
Jennifer says she does not want to live with Rachel--she's boring. Rachel said it was interesting to see her reaction. Jennifer shows Rachel around the house. They toast with champagne. Jennifer brought a video tape for her to watch. Jennifer says, "This is so fun and coloful--I love it! Like a real television show!" Rachel rolls her eyes a little bit.
Rachel says something that makes Jennifer roll her eyes.
These two girls are not getting along already. I wish we had a camera feed there. They kind of are snippy with each other. Rachel hopes Jennifer gets some more friends there very soon. Jennifer basically tells Rachel that she's happy she got evicted. I can feel the love.
It's almost time for the live vote. Let's go to the diary room to get thoughts from those who are voting.
Maggie says that both James and Howie are powerful in the game.
Beau says that James is in with Ivette, so that's good.
Ivette says there's a lot of reasons to keep James.
Janelle hates to hurt Howie.
Beau loves Howie's attention.
Ivette says that Howie has some strengths, but he is still annoying.
Maggie says that if James stays, she's in big trouble.

Julie gives James and Howie a chance to say their final words.
Howie thanks Beau for hair and wardrobe. He says that he's a great motivational speaker. He inspired April to win events all through the month of August. Besides, 5 vetos to 0 vetos--come on!
James says that the group doesn't make it easy to get those vetos. They've got to do what they've got to do. It's part of the game.
Maggie votes to evict James.
Beau votes to evict James.
Ivette votes to evict James--she covers her eyes while she says it.
Janelle votes to evict James.
Julie breaks the news to James. He stands up and hugs everyone. Howie helps him with his bag and asks, "Oof, what have you got in here, all the vetos?" James goes out the door.
Ivette is sniffling in the bathroom. Howie tells Janelle that he thought she was going to turn on him.
Julie asks James why the HGs wanted him out so bad. But James says it has to be strategy since it would have been easy for April to make it personal.
If Howie hadn't gone after him, he would have stayed loyal to the Sov. 6.
Was his closeness with Ivette genuine? Yes, she's an amazing girl. He looks forward to seeing her again.
Goodbye messages:
Ivette apologizes for not giving him a sympathy vote. Janelle says she just couldn't pick him over Howie--sorry. Howie harps on the vetos and says he's awesome. April says he played the game well and unfortunately good players end up leaving. Maggie says, "Oh, James, I'm an ER nurse. I'm not all those things you thought I was!" James says he'll hopefully stay close to Maggie.

Time for HOH! It's called "Playing it straight."
They are rolling a bowling ball down a narrow beam. they are trying to get their ball to the end of the beam and through the narrow hole. Wherever their ball lands in between earns them points. They get two rolls.
Maggie rolls first. She gets 2 and 5. 7 Total.
Beau is next. He gets 5 and 6. 11 Total.
Ivette goes next. She gets 5 and 4. 9 Total.
Janelle is next. She gets 6 and 2. 8 Total.
Howie is last. Will he beat 11 points? He gets 6 and 6. 12 Total.
HOWIE WINS HOH.
Becky578- 09-01-2005
It's time to tell the HGs that this is double eviction week.
Howie is the first one to win HOH twice.
He now has to nominate two HGs. He looks sick about it. He nominates Beau and Ivette.

Thanks for the summary, Becky. I missed the first 40 minutes of the show.

Re: Funny! Howie helps him with his bag and asks, "Oof, what have you got in here, all the vetos?"
Funniest line of the season.
Becky578- 09-02-2005
Oh my goodness, the funniest part of the show was the scenes from the sequester house. Those girls do not like each other. I'm not sure what kind of a buffer James is going to be.
Also, I bet Sarah is hating it that James is now going to live somewhere she can't watch him 24/7 with two girls. LOL.
Matt- 09-02-2005
Re: Jury House It is clear that Jennifer and Racheal do not care at all for each other. The face-making and eye rolling that was going on looked too fake to be real. But I'm sure it was 100% real. I just don't get why they don't like each other.
But I don't think there will be as much animosity in the Jury House this year as there was last season when Will and the twins were together in the house.
Becky578- 09-02-2005
That's true. The girls will probably at least be friendly to each other. After all the game is over for them and they're stuck there for another few weeks. Plus, the house looks big enough that they can ignore each other.
I wonder if they get to read books and watch movies in sequester? Surely they can do things there, as long as it doesn't pertain to the game. Maybe they get to talk to their families or at least write letters.
Matt- 09-02-2005
Re: Jury House The Jury House this season sure isn't nearly as nice as last season's house.
Kitri- 09-04-2005
Jennifer is still the little biatch she was in the house. I couldn't stand her comments when they were watching the video. "My group this and my group that."
Give it a rest already.
Becky578- 09-05-2005
Yeah, it was really high school the way she was still acting like she was playing the game! You lost! They're not your group anymore!
