Loverboy kicked things off with "Workin' for the Weekend". Mike Reno sure as changed. He's old and chubby and his voice sounds kind of tight. It would be hard to reach the notes he used to be capable of reaching when he was younger. I missed who the next person is and I'm not familiar with her. I know the song ("Finally") but never knew who sang it. She has two guys dancing with her while she's singing. Definitely the way they danced back in the 80's. Kind of like they danced in Taylor Dayne's videos.

Flock of Seagulls is next! Thank goodness the singer doesn't have the same whacked out haircut he had in the 80's. The great thing about techno music is it sounds as good today is it did back in it's day. It doesn't require as much skill on the instruments to sound the same. Arrested Development is on now, doing the song "Tennessee". I don't know their song. I didn't listen to Hip Hop back then. One of the girl singers looks like Stacie J from the Apprentice. :lol: Ick, I don't like them.

Thanks, Tara! The host said the name a few times after she sang but I still couldn't make out what he was saying. Here comes, Tiffany! She's spread a bit around the middle and she needs to be wearing a bra. I think she'll be popular with the younger viewers, though. If she were a bit younger, she could easily make it as a contestant on American Idol.

Oh crap. I missed Flock of Seagulls? I wanted to see what that guy looked like without the bizarro haircut. Guess they'll be back. I love the host's hair. I'm so glad ultra short (and/or spiked) hair for men finally seems to be going out of style.

He had long hair pulled back in a ponytail with a basebell cap on so you couldn't really see his hair except what hung down from the back.

Loverboy is back for their cover song. They'll be doing "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias. Wow! I like their version better than Enrique's. He sings more forcefully, like a strong hero. I've always thought Enrique sounded too weak and wimpy for a hero in his version of the song. Cece will be doing "There You'll Be" by Faith Hill. She's a bit off-pitch sometimes but her voice is clear and strong. She still has plenty more singing years ahead of her. :grin: Next is Flock of Seagulls and their cover song, "On the Way Down" by Ryan Cabrera. The musicians did a great job with the song. I'm not really sold on the singer's performance.

Arrested Development will be doing "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys. They're butchering the song, it's just not my style of music at all. They should be arrested for for making such bad music. Tiffany will be doing "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson. Isn't that ironic? How many American Idol hopefuls do Tiffany songs in their auditions and here's Tiffany doing a song by an American Idol contestant. :lol: I'm glad Tiffany changed outfits for this song. She doesn't look so droopy in the chest area in this outfit. The audience gets to vote on their favorite now and we'll get the results after the break.

You're kidding me!! Arrested Development won????? I'm going to puke. American voters are without a doubt on crack. :roll:

I know nothing about Tiffany or American Idol. What songs of Tiffany's do American Idol people do?? The only Tiffany song I know is what she sang tonight, "I think We're Alone Now," which was a cover of a Tommy James and the Shondelles song from the 60's. I disliked the song in the 60's, disliked it even more when Tifanny did it, disliked it tonight, and am sure I would have disliked it if I ever saw an AI constestant do it. What else has Tifanny done? P. S. I thought her rendition of the Kelly Clarkson song was great. And ved the Flock of Seagulls song. Arrested Development has their own unique style. I missed their doing Tennessee, and at the moment I can't remember the song. All I can remember is seeing the video for it about a million times on MTV. Next week - The Motels! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved "Only the Lonely" and used the play the album it's on over and over again.

Tiffany did "Could Have Been", "I Saw Him Standing There" and "All This Time". I don't remember right off if anyone has done her songs in their auditions but with all the songs the judges hear, I'm sure at least one person has done a song by Tiffany. I like "Only the Lonely" by the Motels, too. :grin:

Me no impressed by this one...though it was funny to see Loverboy on the show when they are headlining our little "cityfest" concert in Alabaster, Alabama this Saturday. :shock: I had no idea they still do as many as 100 tours a year...go figure! Arrested Development won...go figure! :? I agree, Pika; Tiffany needed a better wardrobe manager. :? Oh, and I wasn't impressed with Flock of Seagulls, either. I'll tune in for Vanilla Ice next week, but I don't remember who else he said. The Motels song is good, so maybe there will be two decent songs. I'm not sure this show will last the summer, though...

I only saw Loverboy do the cover song (sucked) I thought Tiffany was pregnant...both hubby and I were trying to figure that out..... who let her out on stage looking like that if she isn't pregnant :shock: :shock: I did like the version of the cover song she did though. I didn't see the rest of them.

I only got to see half before I left for work but watched the tape of the covers this morning...I wasnt impressed. In fact the only one I listened to all the way through was Tiffanys cover of Break Away. Could have been because I wasnt really fans of any of them first time around. If theres a better....or sleazier :lol: ...show on next week at this time Ill probably skip this one.
