Sex Offender Living with Children Inside Church A sex offender is arrested after allowing several children to live with him, but that's not all, he's a church leader! Scottsboro Police say this man was a leader at the East Willow Church of God. They arrested 67-year-old Norman Legallienne yesterday. He's charged with what's called prohibited residency. Legallienne is a registered sex offender, which means he's not allowed to live in the same house with children, but Scottsboro Police say that's exactly what he was doing. They say for the past several days he had been living with a small number of kids, who are not related to him, at the East Willow Church of God. Investigator Ron Lattimer says he doesn't believe any of these kids were physically harmed. I don't know if we are seeing in increase in sex offenders or if it's just being reported more. Either way, our kids aren't safe and we need to find a way to get those offenders off the streets. Just locking them up is not the answer, they need therapy.
