Big Brother: All-Stars, September 9 Live Feeds – Jury Arguments by Jeffrey Clinard -- 09/10/2006 Mike Boogie and Erika face the jury, and argue their cases for winning to them. However, afterwards they continue their arguments with wine and each other. What did the jury ask? Who do they trash talk? And when it’s all over but the shouting, what is the shouting about? Warning: This article contains spoiler information! Before the article, a little housekeeping. In my first article of the season I noted that these live feed articles would not be possible without the dozens of people reporting events on various web sites – because nobody can watch the feeds 24/7. I only wish I could thank each one here individually. Still, each of their posts contributes a bit to my live feed articles, where I try to take that mess of information and put it into some kind of narrative. I hope I’ve succeeded, and will say all the mistakes made in translation were mine. Second, I did say in my first article I would try to be neutral in my articles, though I did have my favorites. Who were they? Well, I always liked Chicken George. He’s not the best strategist, but he was nice to everybody and coped with the isolation with his own brand of goofiness. I liked Chill Town for their strategy, and I liked Erika for her floating abilities and eventually realization that she was being played. Besides, she looks great in a bikini, though that was offset a great deal when she started smoking again. My favorite event in the house was the wake-up calls, and the houseguests’ reactions to them. Most of them didn’t think it was funny, but I thought it was hilarious. Remember, these are OUR houseguests – they are there for OUR entertainment. The best running gag was the Chill Town phone calls in the diary room. That was always good for a laugh. As for the winner… well, I’m of two minds on who should win. Mike Boogie and Chill Town had the best strategy over the course of the season. However, I have to give the endgame to Erika. She woke up in the 11th hour and sold her biggest adversary on getting rid of her own bedmate. If she’s able to sell the jury that Dr. Will was running the show for Chill Town (thus diminishing Mike Boogie’s role) and take credit for the endgame, she might win. However, Mike Boogie had a much better strategy over the season. He needs to claim it as his own, or at least on an equal partnership basis with Dr. Will. Plus Dr. Will is on the jury, and he might be manipulating the game from the jury house when he talks about who should win. OK, with that out of the way, let’s find out what happened in the Big Brother house on Saturday! Good morning, finalists! Big Brother lets the finalists sleep late, and Erika is the first out of bed. She does a diary room session and paces around until Mike Boogie gets up. He does his own diary room session, and apologizes to the internet feed watchers for sleeping late. Mike’s jury strategy is to say little except to vote for the best player. He thinks he was the deadliest of the last three players. Erika joins him, and he says the jury has their minds made up already. They do a little kissing. The pair of them take turns listening to music through headphones and pacing through the house. Mike Boogie realizes they ran out of toilet paper, and Erika says she’ll request some. It works, as Big Brother provides several rolls of it. Anybody else remember back in Big Brother 1 when they ran out? Since they had to buy the stuff with the grocery money they earned in challenges, they didn’t get any more. Some of the houseguests did their business in the garden, and they cut up paper towels as a replacement. Erika and Mike Boogie don’t do much except listen to music on the player, and Erika makes some noodles. The audio cuts to the jury testing the connection. Random bits of jury talk get over the air, including talk about farting, and Dr. Will saying they need to look angry. Feeds go to fire as the jury poses their questions to the two finalists. Neither Mike Boogie nor Erika has any clarity as to who won after the jury questions are over. It seems Janelle might be leaning towards voting for Erika, and James asked Erika if her only strategy was to imitate Alison by hooking up and floating. Mike Boogie realizes that Chicken George might cast the deciding vote. Well, maybe you shouldn’t have treated him like the running gag in the house then, Mike. Mike thinks Marcellas is a random voter, while both agree that Janelle will look like a young and dumb girl. Erika notes that Janelle came off as saying she (Janelle) was prettier than Erika. Erika wanted to agree with “chubby” Janelle. Hey, Erika, Janelle, if you are reading this... I wouldn’t kick either one of you out of bed. Mike Boogie is upset that Danielle called him out on his lies. He says he lied to everybody except Chicken George, who he basically didn’t talk to. He only talked game for about 15 minutes during the whole season. Danielle has no right to question him... at least in the mind of Mike Boogie. Perhaps to console them, or maybe just to give them credit for making the finals, Big Brother provides wine for Mike Boogie and Erika. They drink up and go on about the jury. Mike says Howie thinks his manhood was diminished by his loss and thinks Howie will vote for Erika. Both Mike and Erika think the votes will go 4-3, but they aren’t sure which way. Erika thinks Danielle will vote for her because she was straightforward with her during questioning. Both think Janelle was crazy in the way she talked, and Mike compares her to a drunk girl at a club. They talk about Howie, and guess what... both Mike and Erika think they were responsible for getting Chicken George to nominate him! Sorry, Erika, that round goes to Mike. Erika talks about being forced into the floater role. Then they chat about a question Chicken George apparently asked – is Mike going to propose to Erika on the finale? He said no. Erika shouts out that the jury is going to vote emotionally. Mike shifts gears, and reveals all about the Legion of Doom to Erika. However, he claims it only lasted a week (which contradicts what Danielle told us in her interview with RealityNewsOnline). Mike says when James asked if he could trust Chill Town, he replied “totally,” which sparks laughter. Not just from Mike and Erika, but myself also. The drinking continues, and Mike notes that Erika would have “smoked” Janelle in the finals. Erika says she told Dr. Will that the puppetmaster had a lot of puppets, but she wanted him out for a long time. Erika rambles on about how she manipulated Janelle. Mike responds by saying he’d have threatened Janelle to get her to take him to the finals. Erika wonders why everybody trusted Dr. Will. Uh, Erika, you did... at least until your neck was on the line. Erika calls Janelle a stupid blonde bitch. Erika goes to reveal that she told Danielle that she (Danielle) didn’t deserve to win her season. Bad tactics, Erika, but then again, I don’t think you ever had her vote to win. The finalists get in the hot tub, and Mike kisses Erika’s shoulders. She talks about wearing a bikini on Venice Beach during her campaign to enter the house, and how she got INXS to urge people to vote her in during their concerts. She goes on to talk about Josh (her ex-boyfriend and runner up from Big Brother 1). She says she doesn’t need him. Then she says she took out the brains of Chill Town by getting Dr. Will tossed. Mike takes offense at that, and they get into a spat over it. He gets out of the hot tub and says they’ll find out Tuesday night if she’s right or not. He claims he threw the rope/knot veto so Dr. Will would go on the block. He claims his master plan was to get Dr. Will evicted. Erika screams back that she would have smoked Janelle in the finals. They go off to sleep in different rooms. Good night, finalists. http://www.realitynewsonline.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?mode=4&article=article6432.art&page=1
