September 25th episode
"Next" 09/25 The show starts and we are introduced to an alcoholic old lady. Ida Greenberg, who wants God to help her cut her drinking habit... THEN... Susan/Mike/Zach Mike wants in the house to see Zach holding the gun to Susan and he then points the gun in Mike;s direction and getting ready to shoot when Susan jumps him from behind and gets hold of the gun. But then Bongo (the dog) attacks Susan and she falls and accidentally fires the gun, luckily for her it hit Mrs. Greenberg's bottle of alcohol (who was walking outside) Susan has a cut lip and is at the clinic and a cop comes to take the report. She insists Zach is crazy but Mike is trying to stick up for him. Julie overheard Mike talking to the cop blaming what happened on Susan and not wanting to press charges against Zach. Julie tells Susan what happened. Susan went to Edie's house (where Mike was working) and confronts him about not wanting to press charges. He said " I know enough about him to know he's a good kid" He tells Susan all about his talk with Paul Young and that Mary Alice had killed Deidre etc... His cell rings and it was the cops saying Zach was dead and they needed him to identify the body Mike and Susan went to the norgue only to see the body WAS NOT Zach's. Mike got real emotional and Susan put 2 and 2 together and said "Zach is your son, isn't he?" and Mike said "Yeah...I'm pretty sure" Susan later tells Mike that she is really happy for him because he has always wanted to be a Dad but that Zach is the one kid she can't be around (so they can't move in together ) Gabby/John/Carlos Gabby is in the shower, gets out to find rose petals leading to the bed, where John is waiting. He had brought suitcases and seemed to think he'd be there for good and they could now live happily ever after seeing Carlos was in jail. She threw him out abd told him she was fond of him until he told Carlos they were having an affair She later visits Carlos and he wasn't talking, tells him she only had a "little affaur", it wasn't anything major. She tells Carlos he was always away on business and that he "cheated too, but your mistress was your work", Carlos walking away and she says "I said I was sorry and I love you, what more do you want?" and he turns to her and says "a paternity test" Gabby asks a pharmacist to give her someone else's paternity test but of course, that doesn't happen. So Gabby sees a woman crying and asks if it's cuz of the paternity results..woman says yes (and tells Gabby doctors inserted a lesbian's egg in her and now the husband is scared the baby would be gay), Gabby suggests they go for coffee saying "women need to stick together" and she grabs the paper (paternity test paper) from the ladies hand to pass it off as her paternity test to Carlos. She brings the paper to Carlos and tells him the baby is his. He said he wants more...he says "I thought we'd be happy" and she said "I did too, but look at the bright side, atleast we're still rich" Lynnette/Tom Lynnette is going for her first day of work/interview and the lady interviewing her basically tells her that in no way can her family life interfere with her job. Lynette promises she won't mix her personal life with business. Lady tells her to come back next day to meet with bigger boss and not to be late. Next day Tom's back was out, he was crying in pain on the floor. She grabbed Penny and took her to the office with her. Left the baby with a young guy in the front. But while doing the interview, she saw the guy out penny on the desk and wasn't watching her, so she ran out of the office, grabbed the baby and went back in the interview. She ended up getting the job...it was quite a funny scene. Bree They show us Bree waiting for the clock to hit 9:00 exactly before calling her friends to tell them about Rex's death. Susan, Lynette and Gabby go see Bree who is standing outside her house waiting for Rex's mother to arrive, she finally does and was bawling. Bree didn't seem very sympathetic.... Rex's mom pulls out an orange tie and tells Bree that Rex should wear that one when he gets burried because it was his tie when he graduated from prep school. Bree says "no", his suit is blue and she doesn't like the tie. The mother is taking all things she had saved from rex's childhood and showing Danielle and Andrew. She takes out a "dirty" magazine, Andrew looks at it and says "Dad was into big breasts" and his mom says "oh yes...that's why I was surprised when he married your mother"... Bree visits the Applewhites and asks if Mrs.Applewhite can play the organ at the funeral, she agrees. Mrs. Applewhite's son (forgot his name) tells Danielle he lost his Dad too, but that wasn't true... Later the minister is at Bree's house with Bree and Rex's mom. Rex's mom had brought 15 pages of annecdotes from Rex's childhood to be read at the funeral and Bree tells her 3 is enough. Rex's mom said they had to focus on the happier times in Rex's life. (Bree and mama giving some mean looks to eachother) She tells Bree "your marriage was a disaster..you made the last years of Rex's life miserable" Bree then tells her that she is no longer invited to the funeral. The kids beg Bree to allow her at the funeral so Bree confronts Rex's mom and says "for 18 years I tried my very best and for that, I am entitled to your respect" the mom apologizes and admits it was easier getting upset with Bree than Rex and Bree tells her she wants her at the funeral. At the funeral, Bree notices Rex is wearing the orange tie and she was livid. As they were about to close the casket she stopped it and looked in the pews and asked Tom for his tie (which was blue) and took the tie off Rex and put the blue one. Hilarious. She then said to Rex "you look magnificent" and walked out. The Applewhite's The show ends like this... Mary Alice was sayig how it was a year ago she had killed herself and went on to say there were "new flowers, new houses, new neighbors...the kind anyone would want living right next door" You then see her son come out with a tray of food, Mrs.Applewhite asks "did you remember butter?" he said "I make up this tray every night" She tells him "I'll get the tray, you take the gun" (she had taken it out of a drawer right before, he took it and put it in his back pocket), they go in the basement (which looks like a dark cave) and bring the tray, they leave and we see a hand grab the glass of juice....Source: http://dhousewives.proboards42.com/index.cgi?board=recap&action=display&thread=1127699078

I was so sad to see that they had a funeral for Rex and Bree actually saw and touched him so there's no doubt he's dead. I was really hoping it was going to end up that he suspected Bree was trying to kill him and faked his death to get away from her. In that case, he would have been able to come back when he discovered that she wasn't trying to kill him and really loved him.
I didn't understand Lynette's handling of her second job interview. She told them she would be there early because her children wouldn't be in the way but that doesn't mean she has to put household emergencies aside. She could have called them and said an emergency came up with her husband, gotten him to the hospital or doctor's office, and arranged for someone to watch the kids while she went off to her interview. Taking her baby with her and then dumping her on a young guy she didn't even know in the office seemed stupid to me.
The reason Susan couldn't move in with Mike was because Zach is his son. What?? I don't think Zach even knows if Mike is his dad and when he finds out, he might not want to live with him anyway. I think Susan was jumping the gun in assuming that Zach and Mike are going to be close because Mike thinks he might be his dad. Maybe he's not. Dierdre could have been sleeping around with lots of guys besides Mike.
Who do you think will end up being the father of Gabby's baby? I hope it will be her husband Carlos because I think she really loves him, despite being a gold-digger.
Who do you think is in the basement at the black family's house, the one they took the tray to? I couldn't even make out whether it was a male or female. I don't think it can be Dierdre because I thought her body was chopped up. It could be a character we haven't met yet so it's hard to tell.
