Big Brother: All-Stars, September 2 Live Feeds – Desperate Houseguests by Jeffrey Clinard -- 09/03/2006 The veto competition is held, and things are looking very bleak for somebody. Who has become a desperate houseguest? Who has the key to the next eviction? And how does Chill Town fit into the whole situation? Warning: This article contains spoiler information! Good morning, houseguests! Mike Boogie is the first one up, but lies in bed and listens to music on his headphones. Dr. Will is up next, and does some laundry, and Erika crawls out of bed next. Dr. Will and Erika quiz each other some and discuss the feelings of the jury about Chill Town. Then they talk about Survivor. Big Brother tells the houseguests it's time for them to get out of bed. A few minutes later, he tells Mike Boogie and Janelle that he told them to get up for the day. Well, it is about 12:30 p.m. Dr. Will talks about the Big Brother house being a morality test, where you can never have fun (like James) and always worry about what your girlfriend thinks, but you also can't jump in bed with a buxom blonde. He says Big Brother producers will edit it to make it look like he's chasing Erika. Erika thinks she'd like Erin (Will's girlfriend). Mike Boogie comes out of the diary room after having his ear treated. They flushed out whatever was in it. He says he can now hear them say “Mike Boogie is the winner of Big Brother: All Stars.” While Janelle is in the diary room, Mike Boogie and Dr. Will joke she's not a human – she's a machine, and is getting her batteries charged for the day. Dr. Will says he was concerned that the editing will show more than there is between himself and Janelle. He likes Janelle, but loves Erin. Mike Boogie tells him Janelle is in love with him. Janelle joins Mike Boogie and he asks what she'll do if she wins veto – send Dr. Will or Erika home? She says, “Bye-bye bitches.” Janelle drifts off to talk to Erika about The Amazing Race and then the house is put on indoor lockdown. The remaining houseguests chat about how freaked they were by the ghosts, and they fix some food. They then play cards and talk about former houseguests. They notice a wading pool or something through a crack in the screen. Erika wins the rummy game and does dishes while Dr. Will and Janelle take a nap. Mike Boogie and Erika try to recall things to prepare for the veto competition. The quizzing and napping goes on for some time. Erika and Janelle get together eventually, and Erika says her life was a mess before she came to Big Brother: All Stars. Her dog died, she and Josh broke up, and he left her with the mortgage and the bills. They talk about getting married (though not to each other) and having children. Janelle would prefer to do it sooner rather than later. Erika asks about Janelle's current boyfriend, and she says they had a fight before she came to the Big Brother house. She asks Erika if she'd date Mike Boogie, who says no. She's touchy-feely and needed something in the house, but not in the outside world. The four houseguests finally get together and talk about deals they made. Erika says she threw the prom competition so people could go after Danielle, and they question Janelle why she didn't go after James when she had the chance. OK, this is why you don't throw competitions unless you are sure you can get away with it – Chicken George ended up winning the Prom HOH competition. And the real question is why nobody went directly after Chill Town when they had the chance. They talk about Krista from Big Brother 2, and how she would clean her jewelry with Mike Boogie's toothbrush, and chug Nyquil by the bottle to get drunk. Is this the same Krista Mike Boogie proposed to at the end of the season? What kind of guy wants to marry a woman who uses your toothbrush to clean jewelry and gets buzzes off of Nyquil? I guess the Mike Boogie of five years ago. To be fair, Mike Boogie probably just proposed to her to get attention, and seems to have matured since then. He always bugged me in season two about how he and the other cool people were the stars of the shows, and the extras were taking over. I like him a lot better now that he's gone with the strategy of covertly winning the game by manipulating the house with Dr. Will. It's certainly a much better strategy, and they can do all the laughing they want with their mock phone conversations in the diary room. Dr. Will tells Mike Boogie they need to keep the girls separated from each other, so they don't conspire against them. Janelle and Erika do their hair and makeup for the veto competition, and Mike Boogie and Dr. Will laugh about how the girls still don't know they got the big prizes from the graveyard veto competition. Both want Erika evicted. The houseguests mutter to themselves about Big Brother trivia, but it seems to me that veto competitions are usually more physical than mental. It can't hurt, though. And it’s not like they have anything else to do. Finally, the feeds go to fire and when they return Janelle has won yet another veto competition. No doubt she'll pull herself off the block, and she will control who exits the game – Erika or Dr. Will. Erika is not happy. She drinks some wine and looks like she might cry. Mike Boogie tries to console her. The challenge apparently had to do with food competitions, which was a surprise for most of them. Mike Boogie is sorry he didn't do better, and Erika says she's going to lobby Janelle against Dr. Will, but she'll probably be voted out anyway. Erika cries that she had it, but a hook broke (apparently they hung things on hooks as part of it) and she put a plate in the wrong position. Both complain some about the competition. Dr. Will and Janelle shower concurrently, and Janelle says she beat James' record for vetoes. Mike Boogie and Dr. Will have a brief chat in the bathroom, saying they couldn't have scripted it any better – the two Hollywood bad boys in the house. Dr. Will and Mike Boogie are called to the diary room, and Erika and Janelle talk, with Erika campaigning to save herself. She tells him Dr. Will is a master manipulator who got her to put up Marcellas and convinced Erika herself to put up Danielle. She says neither will take her to the end, and they deserve the money over a doctor and a millionaire. Janelle says that's why she didn't want Chicken George out; she wanted Erika to vote out Mike Boogie. Erika promises to take Janelle to the end. She claims she'll settle for second place. She asks who the biggest liar in the house is, and Janelle says it's Mike Boogie. She is so snowed. Janelle only promises to think about the whole thing. Oh, and Janelle, you might want to actually read Dr. Will's shirt that says, “I'm Probably Lying.” Janelle goes outside to smoke, and Dr. Will and Mike Boogie join her. She says the Erika told her he said bad things about her. They assure her that Erika is lying, and deftly shift the topic to Danielle and Chicken George. Erika comes out and the crickets start chirping as the backyard goes quiet. Finally Erika complains the towels aren't folded right, and mimics the way James used to complain about it. Dr. Will and Janelle go off, and he tells her Erika is just sad, desperate, and pathetic. Dr. Will assures Janelle he's liked her since day 13. Janelle admits she's crazy about him. They chat a bit about James. Mike Boogie and Erika talk, and Erika says she knows Dr. Will threw the competition. Erika isn't consoled by the fact she made the final four in both seasons. Mike Boogie complains about how that bitch (Janelle) had won nine competitions. Janelle goes to the diary room and they talk about Chicken George and his HOH reign. Dr. Will wanted to go up so Mike Boogie could use the Coup d'Etat, and they discuss how they wanted him to put up Janelle but he wouldn't do it. The story they eventually got out of him was that in season one he nominated Brittany, and his wife organized a “Vote Out Brittany” campaign back in Rockford. Viewers resented it, and sent him packing the first chance they got. That was actually an infamous week in Big Brother 1; six of the seven houseguests were on the block (only Jamie managed to avoid being marked for banishment), and a local place in Chicken George's hometown allowed people to call the toll eviction lines for free, and their target was, indeed, Brittany. While I never thought those votes were the deciding factor, the whole event was put on the air and caused the nation to turn on Chicken George, who had been well-liked up to that point. Chicken George was trying not to make the same mistake twice, but the game was different; America could hate him all they wanted for nominating Janelle, but there isn't anything America could have done about it. Mike Boogie and Dr. Will go off and talk about Erika wrecking her chances with Janelle, while Erika again pleads with Janelle to keep her, saying she doesn't have the jury votes to win. Eventually, Janelle goes off to bed with Dr. Will, and Erika joins Mike Boogie in the HOH room. Dr. Will and Janelle talk about pre-game alliances, while Mike Boogie and Erika talk about Big Brother 3. Nobody can sleep, and Erika finally goes outside to smoke, then tries to listen in on Janelle and Dr. Will. Erika takes a bed in the bug room, and the houseguests finally get to sleep, more or less. Janelle and Dr. Will do some spooning in the early hours before it seems everybody drops off. Good night, houseguests. Summary: Janelle won veto power, and Erika is suddenly up against the wall. She might have some clarity for the first time in the game as to the extent of how Chill Town used her and Janelle. She's desperate and trying to sell Janelle on evicting Dr. Will and keeping her. Chill Town is trying to keep the women apart, and we get an insight into why Chicken George did not nominate Janelle when he had the chance. http://www.realitynewsonline.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?mode=4&article=article6410.art&page=1
