Big Brother: All-Stars, September 12 Live Feeds – Boogie On! by Teeuwynn Woodruff -- 09/13/2006 It was the last day in the Big Brother: All-Stars house. What did Mike and Erika do? Well… not much. What did intrepid live feed recapper do when she realized there wasn’t much to see? She let us know what she thinks about the results! Read on and, for once, there are no spoilers here ‘cus it’s all over! Well, this is it! It’s Tuesday, the final day in the Big Brother house. Tonight, two little lovebirds – er, houseguests – left in the house find out which of them has won the $500,000. My bet's on Boogie. But we have to wait until later today to find out. In the meantime, Mike Boogie and Erika sleep on in the same bed. And on.... and on... and on. Well, you get the picture. Boogie and Erika sleep the entire morning away. The producers entertain us feed watchers with shots of women playing beach volleyball and other odd things having nothing to do with Big Brother. Finally, a little after noon, Boogie and Erika awaken. They wander about, getting the rest of their things together, eating a bit, and finalizing their outfits for tonight. Boogie even puts the rest of George's costumes into trash bags so Big Brother can give them to him. They've already faced the jury questioning, so it's just a waiting game for them now. Erika decides to take a shower. A few minutes after she gets in, Big Brother tells them it's time for an outdoor lockdown. Snork! I'm afraid that's about as entertaining as it gets today. The live feeds shut down for the season around mid-afternoon so they can get ready for the live show. During the show we find out that Mike Boogie won (and thus Erika lost) with six of the seven votes. Only Marcellas, an emotional voter, voted for Erika. Everyone else voted for Boogie, although even the houseguests who didn't make the jury noted that Will and Janelle were the most deserving players of the season. And since the audience voted Janelle the $25,000 jury prize and Boogie will undoubtedly split the money with Will, or at least give him something, I guess they both won, in a way. I found Big Brother: All Stars much more intriguing than Survivor: All-Stars. For the most part, this was because Will and Janelle made it so deep into the game. Will is far and away the finest player of this reality game – or possibly any reality game to date – and Janelle was a monster at the challenges, especially this season. She broke multiple Big Brother records as well. I was very disappointed when the season petered out at the end with Erika and Boogie left in the house. I would have loved a Janelle/Will finale. Either a Boogie/Will finale or an Erika/Janelle finale would also have been interesting. The Boogie/Erika finale was the worst outcome from that final four. Both Boogie and Erika played reasonably, but I don't believe Boogie has the emotional or intellectual fortitude to get really far in the game without Will's aid. And Erika was, for the most part, taken along as a foil for Chill Town. She made some moves, and Danielle made an excellent point about juries treating deceptive women on reality shows more harshly than deceptive men (something she knows from personal experience and something I think reveals certain preconceptions about what we believe is acceptable behavior for men and women in society – but that's a subject for another article). Of the final two, I'm glad Boogie won, because that means in a way Will won too, and he deserved it. I'm glad the jury managed to reward strategy over emotion. In that, if not in all things, they behaved like All-Stars.
