Grimme, you named some really good movies there. I vaguely rememer Lady in White. I'd have forgotten til you mentioned the scene in the closet. I can't recall the whole movie unfortunately. I just watched Silver Bullet again a couple of months ago. I love watching these old movies.

Another that remains scary for me was one I first saw at a drive-in movie. It's "Tales From the Crypt" (1972) and consists of 5 stories but the scariest, scariest, SCARIEST one was the one with Joan Collins ..... (I still remember her daughter's name ... Carol! And Joan running around the house making sure doors and windows are locked all the while this maniac Santa Claus stares through the windows trying to get inside... Here are some reviews ... Tales From The Crypt The stories in this film are all very dark and creepy. Some are straight horror, others more in the vein of The Twilight Zone. The radio reports that a dangerous felon escaped from the nearby insane asylum dressed as Santa Claus and .....

I love scary movies, but not because they are scary. I think they're funny, and I can't help but love them. I think I saw a newer version of Silver Bullet. Is there one? I really liked it. I love the mastermind behind the "Saw" movies. I have yet to see the third one.
