Recap, Week 7 (8/22) QUEEN BEE GRABS PoV
Boogie taps George & James
Janelle does it again, winning the PoV and removing herself from the block. Boogie taps George as her replacement, and James feels he is sitting pretty as his Legion allies rule the house.
ALL BY HERSELF
Howie's gone, and while the house is quieter for it, the HouseGuests have quite a bit to say on the subject. James actually admits that he feels bad about his old S-6 buddy's eviction, blaming Howie's trusting nature for his downfall. Janelle is down, but not out, sighing, "People who I thought were my friends in this house are now my enemies." Boogie justifies his vote to evict Howie by reminding everyone that BIG BROTHER is a game, and people lie. Erika is "glad" he's gone, as he was getting "in her face," while Janelle seems deflated by his eviction. "I hate them," she whines, resolving, "I can't trip up anymore."
With Boogie's victory in the HoH Competition, Chilltown have finally risen to the highest echelon of power in the house. Boogie hopes his HoH Room is "nice and chilly" to reflect the fact that "Chilltown are now in da building." Danielle is psyched that her Legion pal is in power, while Will is less enthused, understanding that with the power comes a lot of unwanted attention, and he fears the large target that Chilltown now sports. It seems that Will is far more comfortable remaining in the background pulling the strings, but such is life.
TEARS OR FEARS?
Janelle starts to cry and keeps it up for hours. When James asks his S-6 gal if she's all right, Janey admits that she feels Howie's departure is her fault. George attempts to turn her frown upside down by reminding her of all her special gifts, like her wonderful smile, her beauty and her caring nature. His earnest efforts bring a flicker of a smile to her face, but they don't stop the tears. Next, Boogie tries to put a little sunshine in her life, but he also fails. Will takes a different approach to cheering her up, poking her playfully and cajoling, "Who's the princess of BIG BROTHER? C'mon, who's the princess of BIG BROTHER? You know who! You know who!" Janelle's emotional storm breaks and a bright smile shines through the tears. "I am," she giggles, as Will teases more smiles from her.
But don't believe everything you see in the BIG BROTHER house, as Janey's very convincing tears are in fact of the crocodile variety, and her tear-jerking performance is "all strategy." She explains, "I want to appear like I don't have any fight left in me." In all reality, though, this Bombshell is just gearing up for the next showdown. Equally determined to keep Janelle around a little longer, Will has a plan to take Janelle and "rebuild her, faster, stronger and more loyal and have her attack James for me."
Boogie shares his HoH Room, which he considers appropriately "chill" for his tastes. After everyone departs the "show-and-tell" session, Will and Boogie settle in to talk strategy. Boogie outlines his thoughts to target Janelle by suggesting they also nominate James. Will builds off his reasoning, hypothesizing that if James wins the PoV, Janelle goes home, and vice versa. Either way it is a win-win. In the Diary Room, Will confesses that he doesn't fully trust his Legion of Doom buddy James, and wouldn’t be too upset if things go awry and James is evicted.
THE DEVIL AND THE DEEP BLUE SEA
George and Janelle decide to align as the last remaining stragglers in the house. "Who would think, me and you, lined up in the end?" George grins. Janey is also happy about their new alliance, smiling, "I'm not good at playing this game by myself. I found a new teammate, Chicken George!"
Will joins Janelle in the backyard for some quiet time. Janey confronts him about backstabbing her by evicting Howie. Will laughs, claiming he didn't backstab her, but cheekily rephrases, "I stabbed you in the front." Will says he can make it up to her by evicting James. Janelle doesn't take him seriously until he says it again, "We're going to get rid of James." Will knows Janelle is in need of some confidence boosting, which he is more than ready to provide. It all plays into his master plan to "build the perfect monster, and this monster is a femme-bot called Janelle."
As the Nomination Ceremony nears, Danielle can only hope that the Chill-boys stick with the plan to nominate Janelle. James knows he will be nominated, but is confident he will not be evicted as his Legion pals are in power. Boogie calls everyone to join him. As the HouseGuests gather around the now-shrunken table, Boogie brings out the keys and gets down to business. Danielle's key is the first drawn. George's key follows, then Erika's and finally Will's. As expected, Janelle and James are on the block. Both nominees are putting their trust in Chilltown; one of them will be proven wrong, but who?
WOES ME, WOES YOU
Janelle and James are both playing the downtrodden victim in an effort to look depressed over their nominations. "I just feel like I don't have any feeling left in me," Janey sighs as James watches her, appearing to feel for her. The nominees don't have much time to mope before they have to pick players for the PoV Competition. Boogie gets HouseGuests Choice and partners up with Will, Janey draws Danielle's name. "I was really upset when I picked Danielle's ball, as I knew she would save James," Janey frowns. James draws Erika's name. Later, Janelle meets Will and Boogie upstairs, where they tell her that they are definitely going to help her win the PoV. Will justifies their decision by claiming to be worried that if James is allowed to stay, he, Erika and Danielle will target Chilltown next week. In fact, Will wants to keep Janelle in the house, as she is a much bigger target than Chilltown. Unfazed by his reasoning, Janelle candidly points out, "I'm very suspicious of them," adding that if Dani and her crew don't target Chilltown, she will. "If I'm here, I'm going after them."
BADA BOOM, BABY
The PoV Competition draws inspiration from the South Seas with large idols and jungle bushes everywhere. The set-up "is kind of like musical chairs," Janey explains, with the HouseGuests racing to scavenge through the jungle for "voodoo dolls," each of which has a letter on its chest. Questions will be asked about past BIG BROTHER All-Stars. To show their answer, the players must find the correct doll with the letter that matches the HouseGuest's name, race with it back to a large stone slab and offer it as a sacrifice. There is an added twist, though, as each question means one less stone slab is available where the sacrifices are made, meaning one HouseGuest is eliminated with every question.
Danielle is the first to be eliminated after she cannot find the correct doll, and Will is next out. In the following race for the dolls, Boogie falls on his sword, staying true to his word that he would help Janelle win the PoV, covertly sliding the correct doll to Janelle so that she can stay in the game. Boogie is eliminated and can only watch from the sidelines as Erika, Janelle and James go for the penultimate doll. James and Janelle come into physical contact when they both dive for the same doll, with Janey emerging the victor. She sacrifices a broken nail to the skirmish, while James sports a bruised ego and thigh, complaining "she took it right out of my hand and kicked me." After the final question, Janey is the first to return with the correct doll and wins the PoV. Janelle reflects on James' dramatic elimination: "I can't believe that just happened. We fought over a fricken doll."
SORE LOSER. REALLY SORE.
James is livid, storming through the house with his injuries still smarting. James says Janelle ripped the winning "M" doll from his hands, and he's not happy. Janelle explains the situation to Will, who laughs, "(The) way I saw it is... she just whooped his ass." Will and Boogie do a gleeful victory dance in the HoH Room before assuming character again. Of James' constant whining, Will observes, "James thinks the show is fixed in Janelle's favor. Well, it is. I'm the one fixing it, James." They agree to act pissed over Janelle's PoV victory so as not to disclose their new plans. Boogie heads downstairs when Erika drops by, claiming he needs to work out because he's so "beside (him)self."
Meanwhile, Janelle ponders who will replace her once she uses the Veto to save herself. James can't see a scenario that doesn't play out well for him, so he is not worried. No one is surprised when she calls the Veto Ceremony and uses the Power to remove herself from the block. A few eyebrows are raised, however, when Boogie announces that her replacement is "the worst dressed man in the history of television," George.
Is Chicken George the new target, or will Chilltown stick to their promise to Janelle and go after James? James is feeling confident, admitting, "With Boogie as Head of Household, I do feel safe." Is anyone really safe in the BIG BROTHER house? Especially in this house of All-Stars! Find out who stays and who goes on the next knock-out live episode of BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS, Thursday, August 24, 8pm ET/PT, only on CBS.
