Recap, Week 6 (8/15) DANI'S FREE WITH THE PoV
Marcellas on Block
Danielle wins the PoV, removing herself from the block. Janelle replaces her with Marcellas as the Legion of Doom gear up for another week of manipulation and speculation.
BOOGIE ON DOWN
After her brief reign in the HoH Room, Erika admits that her nomination feels “kind of like going from the penthouse to the outhouse.” Danielle, Erika and Marcellas convene in the red bedroom to discuss the nominations. “If one of y’all come down, I’m going up,” Marcellas sighs. Catching her alone, Will whispers to Danielle that he, Boogie and James have agreed to throw the PoV Competition so that she can win it and take herself off the block. Not excited by the thought of being evicted, Danielle is psyched by the news.
Speaking of excitement, Mike is hot to trot for his leggy lady-love, Erika. She swears that there is genuine affection between them and that people are starting to notice. “It kinda doesn’t help if your secret alliance is sleeping in your bed,” she smiles, while Boogie is more effusive. ”Who are we kidding?” he asks. “Her body is off the hook. Oh My God!” While joking around with Erika in the bathroom, Mike kneels and replays his BIG BROTHER 2 marriage proposal, originally delivered to Krista. Amidst laughter and sips from her wine glass, Erika says yes to Mike, who is still on bent knee. It’s then that Mike leans in for the kiss, which is haltingly returned by his new “fiancée.” Admitting that being a part of BIG BROTHER brings out the “showmantic” in him, Mike does warn us that things may not always be as they seem. Stay tuned.
HISS, SCRATCH, SPIT…AND MAKE UP
There’s drama between the divas as Janelle and Marcellas discuss their early “deal.” Janelle tells Marcellas that their housemates have spilled the real deal on him and confronts him with it, leaving him momentarily speechless, “Marcellas,” she declares, “you are in alliance with Danielle and Erika.” After a moment of awkward silence, Marcellas scrounges for an excuse, swearing that his one true alliance has always been to Janelle. Later, in the Diary Room, Marcellas laughs, “I would have said anything,” as he knew he was busted. Janelle is unconvinced, and although their parting is civil, the tension in the room is palpable. “If I win HoH, the buxom blonde is toast,” Marcellas promises.
STITCHING UP THE COMPETITION
The HouseGuests are having a tough time figuring out what the Coup D’Etat clues add up to, but they keep trying, bless them. There are still some hold-outs in the group who haven’t entered answers yet, awaiting more clues, as the rules stipulate that each HouseGuest only gets one chance to guess at the answer. Danielle, Erika, George and James have staked their claims, and next to join them is Howie. “I need another clue,” Will admits. “We’re in a precarious position this week,” Will worries that the Coup D’Etat power may end up being vital to Chilltown’s survival. Exiting the house for the second clue, the HouseGuests see a giant needle and thread. Will and Boogie run through the common phrases that fit the clues, but come up uncertain. Janelle and Howie decide on another answer and Howie submits it. Janey urges him to lie to their housemates about his answer, in case it is correct. Howie lies, badly, but stays mum about his true answer.
LUCK OF THE DRAW
Janelle calls everyone to the Veto competition. It’s time to pick players. Danielle is hopeful but concerned, as her survival is riding on the luck of the draw, “Right now, I need Will, Boogie or James (to play) as they’re telling me they’re going to throw it so I can win.” Janelle draws Will, Erika chooses Marcellas, and Danielle draws James. Janelle is unable to play in the Veto this week, which annoys Danielle to no end. Will and Boogie ask James what he will do if he wins the PoV. James admits he is caught in a tricky situation, as if he does win the PoV he will have to save Danielle, which would expose their alliance. Danielle joins the guys, admitting that the PoV Competition has to go “just right” or the Legion of Doom may lose her as a member.
The PoV Competition is announced: Anything You Can Do I Can do Veto. Nicole from BIG BROTHER 2 is the surprise host, and she runs over the rules. In each event, a former HouseGuest will compete. Whatever time they achieve, the All-Stars have to bid a faster time, and then compete to achieve it. April, or Busto as she was known on BIG BROTHER 6, returns to eat 15 sushi as fast as she can. It takes her just over 5 minutes. The HouseGuests bid their times, and the lowest bid is Will. If Will can achieve his time, then he has the right to eliminate one of his competitors. Will comes in under the time, and eliminates Marcellas.
The next returning HouseGuest is Scott from BIG BROTHER 5. Scott has to score 10 points as fast as possible by throwing hoops at the flamingos in “Flaringo.” He gets his points in just under 2 minutes. The HouseGuests bid, and James comes in with the lowest score. He makes his 10 points easily, eliminating Erika. “I told James we needed to get rid of Danielle. It’s all speculation, but it looks like he has a deal with Danielle,” Janelle sighs in the Diary Room.
Jack, BIG BROTHER 4 HouseGuest and Revenge of the HouseGuests blogger, is the next to compete. He must sit in the spinning chair for two minutes, then carry a flute of champagne on a tray from one table to another without spilling. Jack completes it in just over 30 seconds. James competes against his time, but fails to complete the task and is eliminated.
Hardy from BIG BROTHER 2 returns to ride the electronic bull. He lasts just under a minute. Will claims he can last longer, but falls off after one and a half minutes. Danielle is left with the PoV. Janey knows something is up. “James can kiss my ass, he’s holding onto Danielle,” she snipes, admitting that she lost a lot of respect for him today. “The ultimate betrayal,” Howie sighs of James’ throwing the competition.
THE PLOT THICKENS
The Legion of Doom come together to gloat after Danielle’s PoV win. Meanwhile, James is cornered upstairs by Janelle and Howie. . “I don’t believe James,” frets Janelle. ”He lies too much.” Palpably annoyed, Howie asks James, “Why do you wanna protect Danni?” Janelle shakes her head, disappointed. James tap dances to get out of the spotlight, but Janelle won’t be swayed.
“Janelle is pissed,” James tells his Legion in the gym. Will knows that Janelle is annoyed at James, and he wants to keep her that way, as Will is suspicious of James too. James tells Will and Boogie that they have to go fix the situation with Janelle. So the Chill-boys head upstairs to do some damage control and convince Janelle to put up Marcellas. “We had to deflect any attention to Chilltown,” Will sighs in the Diary Room, but to Janey’s face, he sighs, “If you guys don’t trust James, how are we supposed to?” Will then pulls out his trump card, offering Janelle and Howie a new focus. “Maybe you should consider getting rid of James,” he suggests.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Will hangs in the hot tub with Erika and Janelle. They are full of compliments as they charm him. Thinking that an invitation to shower with them will make a blithering idiot of Will, they lead the way as Will sprints inside to wake up Boogie. The boys embark on “Operation Double Date,” which involves a shower in which Will and Boogie intend on getting close to the girls and manipulating them before they are manipulated by the girls. Boogie is reported to have taken off his shorts, but the kissing only occurred between the girls, much to Boogie’s teenage dreams.
Much later, Will and Janelle meet in the storage room. He is still telling her that Chilltown support her and have her back. Janelle doesn’t know who to trust. Outside, Danielle is contemplating the Veto Ceremony. Eventually she calls everyone together. To no one’s surprise, she uses the veto to save herself. Janelle then has to nominate someone new and chooses Marcellas. He flounces unhappily to the chair, utterly unimpressed by his new position. He is livid over his nomination, ranting and raving in the Diary Room as he throws insults and wishes injuries upon Janelle.
Will Marcellas be the first into the sequester house? Or is it Erika’s time to depart the BIG BROTHER fold? Find out on the next live episode of BIG BROTHER: ALL-STARS, Thursday, August 17, 8pm ET/PT, only on CBS.
