Reality Island Rules and Guidelines
1) Before you start a new topic, check over the existing thread titles to see if the topic you want to bring up is already being discussed. If it is, post your comments in that thread instead of starting a new thread. Multiple threads on the same topic may be locked or deleted. 2) As a courtesy to your fellow posters, please try to make your thread titles descriptive of what your thread is about. If you title a thread "What I think" or "Oh, no", nobody knows what it's about until they open it. 3) If you finished posting a comment and forgot to add something to it, you can edit your post instead of making a whole new post. To the upper right of the post you just made is an Edit button which will allow you to go back in, add text, and then submit your amended post. 4) If you know ahead of time what's going to happen on the show (for instance, if one of the contestants on the show is from your hometown and there's an article in your paper about how far they made it) and you want to post what you know, be sure to label your topic as a Spoiler and don't give away any information in the title of your thread. The East coast has the show on before the West coast because of the change in time zones so keep that in mind if you want to post directly after the show. Your information might be a Time Spoiler for someone in a different time zone. 5) Please don't type in all caps. IT'S CONSIDERED TO BE SHOUTING AND PEOPLE DON'T LIKE IT! 6) It's fine if you want to post images in the forums but please keep them no bigger than 600 pixels wide or else it makes people have to scroll back and forth to read posts in the thread, which is very irritating! 7) Avatars should be as close to the maximum allowed size as possible (100 pixels wide by 125 pixels high). They can be a little higher but if they are too wide, they mess up the margins on the board and you may be asked to resize your avatar or choose another one. 8) Sexually suggestive avatars or avatars with nudity in them may be removed at the Administrator's discretion. Repeat offenders will have their ability to change their avatar removed. 9) Signature line images should be kept under 250 pixels high and 600 pixels wide. You may get a warning if your signature line image exceeds these limits. 10) Have fun and feel free to give your perspective and opinions but don't start name-calling or insulting someone else if their opinion differs from yours. We all want to be able to enjoy discussing shows and topics without being personally attacked for expressing our views.
