I missed a lot of the show. I was so tired I came home and went straight to be after work. I woke up at 8:30, just as Kellie was singing her final note. I'm glad I missed it. When I saw the end recap, I found out she did Unchained Melody and I absolutely hate that song. I thought Taylor did ok. A little pitchy, not too different from the original version by James Ingram. I disagreed with the judges about it being a wrong song choice for him. I thought it was a good choice for him. I was surprised about the judges comments for Paris. I thought she did her song well. I've been a fan of Chris for a long time and he did an exceptional job as usual. Good song choice for him. From watching the end recap, Katharine seemed to do a good job on her song. I didn't like what they showed of Elliott's song. It's hard to base how they did on a few seconds of film, though.

FWIW, I voted for Chris a few times after the show but spent more time calling in votes for Paris. I didn't think Chris was in danger of going home this week so he didn't need my votes so badly. However, between Kellie and Paris, I'd rather see Kellie go home so I wanted to do my part to keep Paris from getting the boot instead.

Ugh, I meant to vote last night and then I got side-tracked playing Gin! LOL story of my life. I'm thinking Kellie will go home. At least she should, she was way way off. I thought they critisized Katharine way harsher than she deserved, she did the song well, although granted not in Whitney's calibre, but then who is? Maybe Celine Dion or Barbara Striesand, but I don't expect we'll see either of those two on AI anytime soon. I was not as impressed with Elliot as the judges were at all, but I do agree that Paris may have oversang Memories a tad. I was happy as pie that Taylor sang something that did not require any bizarre girations. When he sings and does not awkwardly jerk around like a drugged monkey, he actually does a superb job. IMO, he is better than Elliot, and getting closer to the level of talent that Chris has.
