"Nice She Ain't" (10/22/06)
Mary Alice tells us: "the art of sabotage...it's practiced everyday in suburbia" "in suburbia, everyone you meet is a potential saboteur" We see Bree going to see the janitor from where Danielle's teacher lives. She asked him for the key to his place, said she had to walk in without permisson as he was with her 17 yr old daughter. The janitor asks if she has a gun because he just changed the carpets She walks in on them, we hear them yell and Bree walks out. Mary Alice says "yes..the art of sabotage, it's practiced everyday in the suburbs....but few do it as well as Bree Hodge" -Bree turns to the janitor and says "Oh by the way Gus, nice carpets" Mary Alice: "or as politely" Bree We see Bree's family all at the dinner table eating spring lamb but Danielle isn't eating. Andrew cracks a joke saying Danielle prefers old goat...lol After a few shots at Danielle referring to her being with her teacher, she gets up , looks at Andrew says "I hate you" and then "I hate you all" and she threw her plate. Bree turns to Orsen and says "remind me to buy paper plates" Back at the dinner table Bree was talking to Orsen and they heard things breaking upstairs. Bree asks Andrew to check that Danielle is breaking her own stuff. He goes up and see she tried to commit suicide, there was an empty pill bottle and some blood on her wrists. He goes back down and is about to tell Bree about it and she tells him to hold on because she is talking, so he does. When she is ready to hear him, he casually tells her Danielle is trying to commit suicide. Bree rushes to see her and Andrew said "don't rush, she's not trying that hard" At the hospital the doctor tells Bree the wounds are superficial and Andrew says "just like the patient", he continues to say it was a half ass attempt for attention and that she'll try jumping off the porch next. Orsen got really upset and yelled that suicide is the worse thing that could happen to a family and it shouldn't be made light of. The family is later at the therapists talking about it and Bree tells Danielle the thought of losing her is more than she could bear. Danielle was happy to hear that and said she now felt powerful. She told Bree she was going to date Robert again and that if Bree tried to break them up or get him fired she would never see Danielle again. Bree went to the teacher and brought Danielle's suitcase. She said she was there to give them her blessing. She tells him to be discreet, that he wouldn't want his wife to find out or she could use it against him in the divorce. He tells Bree things have changed and for Bree to tell Danielle. Bree tells him to tell her himself and not to mention that they even spoke or she will call the cops. She also said that Danielle was applying for college and she was counting on him for a glowing recommendation. Later Danielle goes back home and tells Bree the teacher dumped her. She said she had him fired, spoke with him on the phone about it and sent that convo to his wife. Susan/Julie/Austin Susan was at the hospital trying to make Mike remember the first song they danced to etc.. he was too tired and hardly interested. Next day Susan shows up at the hospital with her mac and cheese. She sees edie with flowers and this secretary or nurse tells Susan that Edie was with Mike when he woke up and has been there since. Susan freaks out. The hospital asked Susan to leave cuz Mike had his 1 visitor which was his "girlfriend" Edie. Susan gets really upset and they take her away saying she is disturbing the patients. She says "Who am I disturbing? It's a coma ward, don't you want them to wake up?" Edie was walking Mike in the hall in his wheelchair and the nurse told her there was a call for her. She leaves Mike there and Susan in disguise takes him away. She had someone there to help put him in her car. he asked where they were going and she said she wanted to help him get his memory back. She's asking him if remembers all kinds of things and he doesn't. She;s about to show him Mary Alice's house and she trips on the sidewalk and he said "you do that alot don't you?" He remembered. he asked her about the British guy she was with and she says they are only friends. She tells him doctors said he may never recover and she needed someone to talk to. he doesn't believe they were just friends. The truck shows up and it's hospital staff and Edie. Susan tells them his memory is coming back and she was excited but then Mike said "take me back to the hospital" Edie tells Susan that is over and he is hers now. Susan tells Edie she lies, cheats etc.. and asks her how she sleeps at night, Edie answered "soon, with Mike on top of me" Austin went to see Julie and asked for help with an English lit paper. He had flowers for her that he had picked which still had the roots on them..lol Julie tells him she normally charges 12$ an hour but it'll be 15 for him. he tells her he charges 15$ an hour to make out so he will probably break even. Austin is at Julie's and he has a beer and tells her a sob story about his mom putting him in a home for messed up kids because he tried to protect her from a crazy boyfriend etc.. She tells him she'll write 1 or 2 pages of his paper because she feels bad for him. Later she finds her friend Sara in the car with Austin and she gets upset, pretending she is more upset Sara cancelled plans with her. He goes to see Julie another day and is upset that he got a D- on his paper. She e-mailed him the wrong paper and he tells her it is because she was jealous he went with her friend. She tries to deny it. Gabby Carlos has strawberries and champagne and Gabby tells him he needs to move on and stop trying to seduce her. She's about to leave and yells. We see a woman sittting in the bath. he tells her "this is Trishelle. Trishelle this is...umm..what's your name again?" He later confesses that he was trying to make Gabby jealous. She tells Carlos "I think you really hate me" and he said she doesn't know what she is talking about. A man walks out with 2 champagne glasses and she tells Carlos "oh yes I do". He freaks out that the guy is Phil Lopez from the Fairview Chamber of Commerce and he had beat carlos for an award. She reminds Carlos of the time Phil won and Carlos said "he may have that trophy but I've got you" Carlos said : I had no idea you hated me that much" and she said "now you do". She goes up with Phil and they went in the jacuzzi together (we don;t see that part). they both have robes on and she pushes the bed against the door and pretends she is having sex with Phil. She is yelling and moaning and Phil tried to come on to her and she is pushing him away telling him he knows she isn't interested. he gets upset. Outside we see he and Carlos talking. Gabby had blocked his car so Carlos goes in the house to get the car keys and he hears Gabby still pretending to have sex with Phil. (she has no clue Phil has walked out). he goes upstairs and taps her shoulder and she turns saying she told him she wasn't interested and she sees Carlos. She gets mad at him and askes what she has to do to hit him hard that he won't recover. He says she can't because he knows that she still cares. The next day he brings her breakfast in bed like he had convinced her and she is in bed with another man. Tom and Lynette Tom was making pizza. Told Lynette is was to celebrate her being the best wife in the world. He tells her he knows what he wants to do and that is open a pizza parlor. Lynette is skeptical. She was outside telling Mrs.McClusky about it, gabby and Susan too. She tells them she wants to be by his side. Gabby tells her when you make a promise you have to see it through so Lynette askes her "how's that divorce going?' Nora walks out, she had just dropped Kayla off. She tells Lynnette she overheard her talking and she thinks Tom's business is a bad idea and Lynette should tell him. Later Tom is excited because his realtor found him a location and Lynette tells him she thinks he should start with a catering company for a few years to get knowsn and then expand. he gets upset that she isn't sticking by him yet again. Later Nora tells Tom that when she tasted his pizza she dies and went to Italy. She tells him he was born to do this and she'd ahte to see him give it up. She tells him Lynette bullies him and Lynette would respect him alot more if he grew a pair. "I know what you are capable of and I believe in you" Mary Alice sabotage.... everyone is capable of it but some go about it more ruthlessly than others. like the ones who create vengeance -we see danielle laying in bed thinking or the ones who hunger for love -Edie kissing Mike on the forehead or the ones who are determined to burn bridges -Gabby laying in bed with someone and then there are those who simply want something -Nora talking Kayla in and Kayla says "I wish Daddy lived her so he could tuck me in too" something that belongs to someone else Nora "I'm working on it piglet, mamma's working on it"
