"Children and Art" (11/12/06)
The show starts with Mary Alice saying that Mrs. McClusky believed in helping others whether they wanted it or not. We see all things she has done, like paint someone's garage door, take down someone's Christmas lights 6 months after Christmas had passed, bring someone back their lost cat and telling them she had the cat neutered at the same time, etc... Mrs. McClusky had the key to Mike's garage and Edie asked what she was doing. She was saying she goes once a week to start the mower so the engine doesn't get rusty. She then told Edie that she found all the pics of Mike and Susan in the trash that Edie had thrown out so Mike wouldn't remember how crazy he was about "his little girlfriend" and she told Edie she kept them all and she could show them to Mike anytime she wants. Mary Alice said "Yes..Karen McClusky believed in helping others, which she felt gave her the right to help herself" and we see Mrs. McClusky leaving with Mike's lawn mower. Later we see Mike arrive at home and Edie is with him. He said it doesn't feel like home. Edie tells him the worst is behind him and she hugs him. We see a PI demanding a search warrant for Mike's house to see if the tools were there that were used to kill Monique. Later Mike and Edie are getting home to see all the cops around his place searching it, the cops tell the PI they didn't find anything. Once everyone was gone, Mrs. McClusky brought Mike his tool box, she reminded him that he drove her to the hospital 2 yrs ago so she helped him out but suggest he may want to wash the wrench. Susan Susan and Ian are going home early to check on Julie. They walk in and Julie and Austin get up from the couch. Susan asks Austin to put a shirt on and leave but he didn't come with a shirt. Julie reminds Susan that Austin saved her life and Susan said she could thank him without taking her top off. She told Julie she couldn't see Austin anymore and grounded her for 2 weeks. Julie admits she really likes him. Later Julie and Austin leave on a motorcycle...Susan went to see Edie and asked to keep Austin away from Julie, she says they could end up having sex. Edie tells Susan that she has a box of comdoms upstairs and 11 are missing and Edie could only account for 8 of them. Susan asked "How can you be so calm about this?" and then Mike walked out. Edie told him she'd be there in a minute and he went back in and Edie said "I am calm because if 2 people are meant to be together, there's nothing anyone can do about it" Later Susan is talking with Austin and Julie and she had called Karl over and he shows up, to keep Julie and Austin from seeing each other. Karl takes Austin outside and talks to him and comes back in. He asks Susan "who is Ian?" and they start arguing because Karl is all upset about Ian and not worrying about Austin and Julie. Karl tells Susan she forbids her to see Ian and he leaves. Later Susan was standing by a window and sad. Julie apologized to her and said she should trust her because she has always had good judgement and Susan said "Relationships have nothing to do with good judgement, you can still get hurt", Julie looks out the window and sees Edie and Mike kissing outside. Bree Bree and Andrew were getting their Christmas cards ready to send off and Bree asked Orsen for the home address where his mother is. He says she is in Lakeview and Bree thought she was out east. He admits he lied because he doesn't want to talk about his mom, she is senile and it breaks his heart. Bree asks why he never visits her seeing she is so close and he gets upset and says "Let it go, damnit!". Bree looks shocked and then he says "By all means, send a card" Bree goes to the home to visit Orsen's mom and starts talking loud to a grey haired woman. The woman asked "Why are you talking to me like I'm a moron?" and Bree says she is looking for Gloria Hodge, the woman says she is Gloria Hodge. Bree was surprised that she was so lucid and Gloria tells Bree she is fine. She just has a complicated relationship with Orsen and to tell Orsen she is sorry and in spite of everything she still loves him. Bree tells her she should tell Orsen herself and Gloria smiled. Later Orsen gets home and Bree and his mom are at the table. Orsen's upset. At the table Gloria tells Orsen she wants out of the home, she wants to go back to her house. Orsen tells her he sold her house and her stuff too. Gloria gets up and yells "How dare you? I should have smothered you in your crib when I had the chance". Earlier Gloria had asked Bree her secret for the sauce and Bree said she couldn't tell but after that Bree interrupts and says "Paprika". Gloria tells Orsen "You more than anyone should know how I deal with betrayal" and she leaves. Andrew turns to Bree and says "So...can we call her grandma?" Someone came to pick up Orsen's mom but had to go the washroom first so she got in the car to wait. Gloria sees the keys in the car and Bree asks if they can talk, so Gloria moves to the passenger seat and Bree gets in, not knowing Gloria was going to drive off. She leaves saying "I am not going back to that place". Right after Orsen and the guy who came to pick up Gloria hear the screeching of breaks and an accident and they see it's the van. (but the ladies were o.k). Bree suggests Gloria live with them a while and Orsen refuses. Bree asks if there is something she should know and Gloria asks to speak with Orsen. She tells Orsen to accept his wife's invitation or she will tell Bree what it's all about. She tells him she gave him his life and she can take it away. She then says "Now give mother a kiss", he says "Why?". She says "To make it look real". He kisses her, and Bree smiles. Gabby We see some girl scouts going to houses to sell stuff and one gets to Gabby's. Gabby tells her she used to model and shows her pics. The girl asks Gabby why doesn't she go back to modeling, what else would she do? We see Gabby telling Lynette and Susan she is going into modeling again. Gabby goes to an agency and tells the woman she is ready to model again. The woman remembers Gabby and asks Gabby if she remembers calling her a "Career-obsessed lesbo who will die alone and eaten by her cats" and then she ends up accepting Gabby back. Gabby's sitting next to a model, Tonia, and Gabby is trying to give this young model advice about modeling etc... Tonia turns around and tells her that she has been modeling for 2 yrs, has made 6 magazine covers and she is sleeping with Derkin (the photographer). Getting ready for the photo shoot, Gabby wants the sexy dress but they tell her it is Tonia's, Gabby gets the "old mother" outfit. Gabby trys to tell them she wants to play the older sister, that she is too sexy to be the mother etc.., the photographer tells her to take the outfit and make it work. Gabby leaves and cuts the outfit all sexy and says she is a hot mom. The photographer gets her agent and the agent basically tells her she is a has been and she better get the mother outfit on and play her role. Gabby was bothered that she wasn't the young hot one getting all the attention anymore. Lynette Lynette arrives home and the kids are happy to see her. (Susan, Gabby and Bree were there and all had a gift for her). Lynette says how the kids don't know the truth about what happened and mentioned Kayla was at grandma's. The new neighbor, Art, was watering his yard and Lynette went to thank him for saving her life. She promised to make him a cake and said she never makes cakes. The kids get off the school bus (after the boss called Lynette on the phone to tell her to take all the time off she needs with pay). The kids ask her if it's true she was shot, a kid at school told them. They also said they know about aunt Nora and asked where she was, Tom said "In heaven" and Lynette said "Or wherever" They asked "What if the crazy lady comes back?" and Tom also said "In heaven" while Lynette said "Or wherever". Lynnette was getting ready to go the store and Parker didn't want her to go, he was scared she'd get shot again. He asked if Mrs. McClusky could go, so she did. Lynette went to see Art and asked if he could do her a favor and play a superhero for her son as he was having trouble with everything that had happened. Parker later believed that Art was "Protector Man" lol. The cake was ready so Lynette and Parker went to bring it to Art. The door was opened so they went in. Parker was playing with a train set and Lynette was writing a note for Art for in the kitchen. She went to get Parker because she couldn't see him and followed the train set which led to downstairs. She was shocked to see a wall full of young boys all topless. She grabbed Parker and said they had to leave. Mary Alice: There's so many things we wish we could tell the young" "we'd like to pursuade them not to grow up so fast, but they won't listen" -we see Susan looking out at Austin and Julie together we want to tell them that beauty fades, but they refuse to believe it" -we see Tonia modeling we warn them that their actions will have consequences, but still they defy us we see Orsen unpacking stuff from the car while Gloria watches, smiling Sadly, the young can't begin to understand the world is a dangerous place, so it's up to us to do anything we can do to protect them -Lynette watching as a girl scout goes to Art's and starts talking to him absolutely anything
