Pool and Quiz
The Reality Island TAR Pool and Quiz is now taking contestants. How to play: Submit a squad of 3 teams chosen by how you well you think they will perform overall. List them 1, 2, 3 with 1 the team you think will perform best and 3 the least best of your squad. Each week there will be a short quiz. Players who score the least each week and/or those who score zero may not make changes to their squad that week. All other may make one change except for the high quiz scorer of the week who may make two changes. Points will be earned by teams performing tasks, finishing well, and other bonuses. A point listing will be posted next week. Each players' #1 team will get triple points, their #2 team double points, and their #3 team regular points. Questions about the pool & quiz can be made in this thread. Submit your teams to jayusmagnus by pm before 6pm Sunday Sept. 17th! :grin: Or openly post them in this thread...if you dare!

Shoot, this is getting close now! I have class tonight so I probably won't get around to choosing my team until tomorrow or the next day, Jay, but I am entering the pool! :wink:

Did I enter this one yet? I remember looking at the team bios, but can remember if I picked a team. Is the quiz going to require looking for spoilers to get the answers correct? I dont want to be spoiled.

I don't think you're ever "required" to look for spoilers to do the quizzes. Most of the time the supposed spoilers are wrong anyway.

Oh you people are just sooooo funny. All I needed was a little sleep and it all came into focus. Now...I shall pick a team and send it off to my Jayby.

Points that can be earned by teams: Positive points: Finishing 1st in a leg - 10 points Finishing 2nd in a leg - 7 points Finishing 3rd in a leg - 4 points Finishing 1st in a Detour - 3 points Finishing 2nd in a Detour - 2 points Finishing 3rd in a Detour - 1 point Finishing 1st in a Roadblock - 3 points Finishing 2nd in a Roadblock - 2 points Finishing 3rd in a Roadblock - 1 point Hugging the host - 3 points (Phil-love is always rewarded) That was cool - 2 points (anything action or comment that makes the poolmaster go "That was cool!" - example, In TAR5 when Chip steps out of the plane, raises his arms and says" Ah-ha-ha-ha-ha! AFRICA!" - That was cool. Also...totally supportive of your teammate in a high-stress situtation to get them through it....That is cool.) Negative Points: Say you're going to quit - minus 3 points per occurance. Actually quit. - Lose all points accumulated in Leg. That was totally uncool - minus 2 points (examples of things that are uncool besides threathening to quit...berating your teammate, assaulting your teammate, arguing with cops, saying nasty things about the local peoples...ugly Americanism is NOT cool.) Gah, any taking a handicap to get in the pool late, Jay? I know Im a pain in the butt and I should not have procrastinated if I wanted in and I know you oughtta kick me in the booty patootie fer askin! But I wanna swim in the pool with y'all for the season! *whining loudly*
