WTG on Dice Derby, Peeks!
I haven't tried to play Omaha Poker yet, but I heard some others talking about being booted out, also. Hope they get that fixed!

Someone at BA posted that they had no problems with getting booted out of Omaha in the Low Rollers Tabbed rooms. It's a 500 tokie stake, I don't know if I want to lose tokies for this tho...

I don't want to play in the Low Rollers room. For one thing, since people can bet for real tokens, many do and that slows down the game. If you're not playing for real tokens, there's really no point in raising the bet and all that so the game moves much faster.

GOT IT!!!!!
pika- 06-08-2006
WTG, Rufus! I don't have time to play it at lunchtime so I'll have to try tonight.
I noticed the rooms are still messing up. I was in the Just For Fun section and hit Play Now and it put me in a low rollers room. Then, it said I had joined the table but a few rounds went by and I didn't get any cards. It passed right by me like I wasn't there.

So everyone here plays poker on pogo then? I play games but am not a big poker player
Rufus- 06-08-2006
Beacho, it's not just poker. There are many games, solitaire, board games, card games, and many other that Pogo alone carries.
They're constantly coming up with new games, some fun, some not so much, depending on your preferences. They have weekly badge challenges which some of us simply MUST get!
Here's a link if you haven't been there yet.

I could send you a Guest Pass if you'd like to try Pogo out, Beacho.

Ya know, I've tried Pogo. But I'm a cheap dog and I only play for free. So....eh.
Beacho- 06-08-2006
Thanks for the pass Pika, have been there but never became a member before I don't think I might become addicted I think he he he.
pika- 06-09-2006
Dang it! I only needed one more win to get a spin in poker and the server went down.
I've only got 2 of the 5 wins. I'll be ticked if I don't get the badge this week because of the technical difficulties.

Does anyone know what the green lights in the hand rankings box in Omaha Poker are supposed to indicate? I thought at first that it indicated the highest hand (opponents) and the yellow (or is it orange?) lights indicate your own hand. But I've noticed that several times it has lit up to a hand ranking that none of the computer opponents are holding *shrugs* I went looking at Badge addicts, but I don't see any discussion on it.
As an aside, in some of the poker games betting big is a very good idea, even if you're in just for fun, it causes the bots to fold even if they have a decent hand, and you can win your badge quicker. I've noticed this especially in Texas hold 'em. It doesn't seem to help as much in Omaha, tho...
Rufus- 06-13-2006
With all those poker games I just keep raising the highest I can because it causes the bots to fold. And if I run out of "money", they just give me more!

I think the green light indicates the highest possible hand you can shoot for. If you are dealt a pair in the beginning, one pair will be lit yellow and three of a kind will be lit green.
I'd have to look up the How to Play section to verify that is what it means. Like you, I thought it was an indicator of the highest hand other than my own but that hasn't been the case.
