Y'all know I'm not usually real big on movies, mostly because I don't generally have enough time to sit and watch an entire one all at once. I'm also even less enthusiastic about sequels, they never tend to live up to the original movie. However! I am sooooo excited about the upcoming release of the POTC sequel, I've been waiting for it ever since I saw the first, and I literally cannot wait to see it! I may even be forced to attempt to get advance purchase tix so I can be very first in line! You know, I'm just not really excited about this movie. I didn't call all that much for the first one, so I'm not really all that looking forward to the second and third movies. Johnny Depp's portryal of Captain Jack Sparrow was entertaining, though. If it weren't for him, the movie would've been a total dud. He totally stole the show in the movie. But otherwise, the movie as a whole was just ok.

Hmmm...I'm with Tif here. I really enjoyed POTC alot. And it will be one of the only movies I will see in the theater this year. For me, it is swashbuckling at its finest. :wink:

I saw the first movie when it came to PVP, so I'll do the same with this one. Have to agree that Johnny Depp steals the show.

:lol: :lol: Can't blame either of you for dancing. I loved the movie...ok maybe just Depp as the pirate...but that was the movie. I'll be waiting til it comes out on DVD just cause I hate going to the theatres.

Just saw it yesterday too. I seriously gasped a few times in the theatre and squealed at the end. :) OMG. Awesome movie. And Johnny Depp is YUMMY. And so is Jack Davenport.

My son and I saw it last night. It's been getting mixed reviews, but we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Yeah, maybe it's a bit overlong, maybe the storyline is kind of vauge, but, Hey! We're not talking Citizen Kane or The Godfather here. I thought it was a lot of fun, and Cam's still talking about the ending, which I'll admit, I didn't see coming. Good (not great, but still good) movie!

I really really want to see this movie, I love Johnny and I really liked the first one a lot.

Brinna and I are suppose to take the kids to see it when I get there. I loved the first one. Johnny Depp cracked me up so I can't wait to see this one. Savvy!

I never go see big movies on opening night, and I'm glad I skipped this one! Lines were out the doors and along the front of the theater, parking was crazy, and at least one showing that some friends of ours went to was oversold! :shock: But I'm excited to see it, too! We're going Friday night with some friends of ours. Hope it lives up to the hype. I loved the first one but I didn't know what to expect and so it far exceeded my expectations. With this one, I'm expecting a lot more, so I hope it doesn't disappoint.
