So how do you make your PB&J sandwiches?
I usually put a little of each into a bowl and mix it up before applying to the bread.
Sometimes I spread jelly on one piece of bread and peanut butter on the other one, but I like me lots of jelly and that can get messy when the jelly starts squeezing out.
Then, sometimes I like to toast the bread first.
Oh, and it absolutely positively has to be JIF brand peanut butter. The jelly/jam/preserves doesn't really matter, but it's usually Smucker's.

I'm a Jiffer, too!! I like Skippy if Jif isn't available but I don't like the Peter Pan peanut butter my parents get. It's too sweet and not peanutty tasting enough for me. Natural peanut butter is just gross.
I swipe the peanut butter on one piece of bread and use the other slice of bread to wipe the extra off the knife when I'm done. If I'm adding jelly, too, I put the peanut butter on first, wipe the knife on the bread, spread the jelly on the center of the peanut butter, and then when you put the second piece of bread on top, the jelly oozes to the edges of the bread without oozing out.
I like to make two peanut butter sandwiches at a time because I can never resist eating one when I'm making them. So if I want to make a peanut butter sandwich to have later for lunch, I make one to eat right then and another to put in a sandwich baggie.
I prefer to store my sandwich at room temperature. If I put it in the refrigerator, it tends to dry out the bread and I don't like that.
Smuckers is dah bomb. They're my favorite brand of jelly.

It's Smuckers or Welches grape jelly and Skippy creamy peanut butter for me. I always put the jelly on one slice of bread and the PB on the other slice and I like a lot of jelly! Then I squish them together and have it with a tall glass of ice cold milk.

Shoot, this is getting me in the mood for a peanut butter sandwich but I'd have to stop to pick up bread on the way home if I was going to have one.

I just had a PB and plum jam sandwich. We're out of milk, though, so it wasn't fab five freddy but it was still pleasing to my tummy.

I already have Skippy peanut butter at home and when we stopped off at the supermarket after work yesterday, I picked up a jar of Smuckers strawberry jam.
Gonna make me some PB&J sammiches this weekend!
