November 13th episode
"Color and Light" (11/13) The show starts showing Lynette's kids and how Lynette is tired, she gets no time to nap because the kids haven't been invited to a playdate since Lynette started working. She takes the kids out and they start playing/fighting with 2 other boys (twins too I think). Lynette tells her that her kids had fun so they arrange a playdate at the ladies house. When it was Lynette's turn to have the kids at her house, she and Tom saw Parker and Preston coming down the stairs. The boys said the kids were watching a boring movie. Tom and Lynette went up to see and it was a home video of their parents They shut the tape. When the parents went to pick up the kids, they told the mom about the tape (Tom warning her they didn't see much, that they caught it right before she took off her bra) and she got embarrassed, freaked and drove off. Lynette wanted to go to their house because she didn't want the playdates to end. So Tom and Lynette went to see them and told them there was nothing to be embarrassed about. Tom tells them he and Lynette are hip...LOL So...the husband feeling comfortable now tells them that video was poorly shot, that he has since done better ones, he had always dreamed of directing movies but no one gets to see his work. Tom and Lynette are in shock when he tells them he'd like to show them the room he tapes in. He shows them the room and his video equipment and tells them if they ever want to be filmed to just ask Tom and Lynette leave soon after and Tom says "no more playdates" LOL. Bree George has Bree blindfolded and brings her to a home he told he just bought. George's mom and real estate agent are there and get introduced to Bree. He tells Bree he hopes she'd like to live there and then he proposes to her. She is shocked and her immediate reaction is "huh?" "Rex hasn't even been dead for 2 months". He asks her to please say yes, the real estate agent and mom come out congratulating them, George says she didn't answer yet, so they go behind a wall and are just staring. Bree, a pack of nerves, answers "o.k.", he says "you'll marry me?" she says "o.k." She later sees her therapst and says what she's done. He tells her she's rushing things (D'UH!). Bree goes to see George and a bunch of family and friends of his are there to meet her. Before you know it they're practically pressuring Bree into having a baby. (his mom saying how eggs start deteriorating at age 40). She asks to be excused and runs out, George follows her. She tells him she's taking her champagne and aging eggs and going home. Tells him she doesn't want any more children and that her therapist thinks they are rushing things. He tells Bree they can take it slower and she tells George she will talk with her therapist. Later...the therapist is out jogging and George drives by on his bike. Passes the therapist, gets off bike, pretends to be stretching. The therapist reaches George, George takes him, knocks his head on the cement wall of bridge and throws the therapist over the bridge. Susan Susan was headed to Mike's and saw and heard Edie and Carl arguing. She rings Mike's bell and gives him back the Valentine's Day card she made for him that he returned to her, hoping he returned it by accident. She tells him it's tacky to give it back that he can at least throw it out if he doesn't want it, so he takes it and throws it in the garbage by the door. She asks if they at least be friends and he tells her it's over on every level. In the back...Carl drives off like a maniac and Edie is yelling so she starts saying "even with all our problems, at least we're not acting like that" and when she turns to Mike, he had closed the door on her. Carl goes over to Susan's with his luggage and tells her he and Edie broke up. She says he can stay there, they have wine, and some more and some more... He tells Susan that he and Edie broke up because Edie found a pic of Susan under the mattress. He leans in, takes Susan's head and kisses her. They agree they will help each other that night feel a little less lonely. Julie gets home and is looking for Susan and finds Carl and Susan in bed together. She freaks, goes downstairs and leaves. Later Edie shows up at Susan's and tells her she and Carl are back together again. Tells Susan she hates to say this but "Thank you, whatever you told Carl last night, it worked". She gave Susan the pic that she had found under the mattress and said "Whatever hold you had on Carlos, it's over, I won. He made his choice and it's not you". The Applewhite's Betty and Matthew bring some ice cream down for Caleb. Betty asks him to talk to her about what he did to Melanie.She says she can't let him out until she knows he won't hurt anyone else again. He tells her Melanie was bad and she deserved it and Betty said "No one deserves to die like that" "If that's how it's going to be, this is how it's going to be" and she takes the ice cream and leaves. Matthew locks the door. Caleb was trying to get loose from the chains. Later when they went downstairs, the door was open and Caleb was gone. They went to search for him but didn't find him. They went to Bree's to see if he was in her backyard. Betty asked Bree gardening questions while Matthew checked the back and Danielle was there in her bikini. She asked him what he was doing and he said "Looking for you." Danielle says "You came to ask me out?" she bends over provocatively and then says "Cuz I'll say yes". We see Matthew and Betty leaving Bree's saying it was a waste of time. Gabby At the beginning of the show, the ladies are together playing cards. They see Gabby's sonogram of the baby and are all excited. Gabby didn't care, took the sonogram and just put it in a drawer like it was no big deal. Gabby was trying on clothes and frustrated that a size 0 wouldn't fit her. She decided to go on a 48 hour crash diet (LOSER) to fit into the dress she bought. She had model freinds going over and she didn't want them to know she was pregnant. Bree was at Gabby's helping her fix the dress (it had torn ealier when she went to sit because it was too tight). Bree asks "Ever think you might like motherhood" Gabby "No, I don't have the motherhood gene" The friends show up and notice she's pregnant. She later goes to see Bree and says she doesn't know why she was ever friends with them, said she has changed as a person and she doesn't know how. She asks Bree if she'll go shopping with her tomorrow to get some maternity clothes and Bree agrees. Gabby gets back home and her fridge door was open, she closed it. (we see an empty ice cream container on the counter) She goes into the bathroom and then notices an empty bowl by her closet and when she turned Caleb was there in her house. (staring at her) Gabby freaked (who wouldn't??) and fell down the stairs. Caleb stared at her a while, then walked over her and left. We then see Bree, the police, ambulance etc.. and taking Gabby on a stretcher. She whispers something to Bree, Bree asks the ambulance techs to wait that Gabby wants something, she comes back with the sonogram of the baby and Gabby just held on to it. Mary Alice voices over: (Gabby is being taken out on a stretcher while photographers snap her photograph and Bree waits to go in the ambulance with her.) Yes, cameras are tools designed to capture images. (Gabby whispers to Bree and Bree runs in the house to grab something.) but in truth, they can capture so much more. (Karl holds a picture of Susan and hides it inside a book) They can uncover hidden longing of men who should no longer care. (The Harpers lie in bed with a big bowl of popcorn about to watch a home movie) They can reveal the extraordinary secrets of the most ordinary marriages.(Bree gives Gabby the picture of her sonogram, and Gabby holds it to her heart and begins to cry). Most amazing of all, cameras can quietly and clearly reveal to us our dreams.
