New Episodes Start Wednesday (3/30)!
Just a reminder about fresh Lost finding its way to television sets across the Northern Hemisphere!   Can I get a woot?

bookie- 03-28-2005

WOOT Did you see the previews...I don't know if it was for the next show or the next few shows? It's looks good.

WOOT Did you see the previews...I don't know if it was for the next show or the next few shows? It's looks good. Hmmm...I didn't think about the previews being for the next several shows. That's possible, though, 'cuz it sure looks like a lot of action to put into one episode.

I thought it was all for the one episode...it may be, but it seemed like an awful lot happening. Here's the intro for this weeks show. Next Episode: Wednesday, March 30, 8/7c "Deus Ex Machina" Boone becomes concerned when Locke suffers physical problems while they try to find a way into the mysterious hatch. Meanwhile, Jack is reluctant to help when Sawyer starts to experience excruciating headaches, and Michael and Jin struggle to communicate while working together on the raft. I wonder what kind of physical problems Locke suffers....maybe he has trouble with his legs (paralysis) again????? :? :? :? probably not, but it's a thought.

Re: Title
So what's with the title? Can anyone translate 'Deus Ex Machina'? http://newark.rutgers.edu/~jlynch/Terms/deusexmachina.html Deus ex Machina In some ancient Greek drama, an apparently insoluble crisis was solved by the intervention of a god, often brought on stage by an elaborate piece of equipment. This "god from the machine" was literally a deus ex machina. Few modern works feature deities suspended by wires from the ceiling, but the term deus ex machina is still used for cases where an author uses some improbable (and often clumsy) plot device to work his or her way out of a difficult situation. When the cavalry comes charging over the hill or when the impoverished hero is relieved by an unexpected inheritance, it's often called a deus ex machina. I don't know what it means for Lost, but that's what I found.

HOLY CRAP!!!! That was a good show!! What the hell was that light????? I won't elaborate more than that until I know others have seen the show as well. But........DAMN!!! This show keeps you on the edge of your seat. It never fails to keep me guessing, just when you think you have figured it out..WHAM!!! they switch gears on you!!! I do not think a show has EVER done this to me, I mean EDGE of my seat! K...I'm done now.

Love this show. Love it, love it. I seriously thought that Locke's mother was a woman who was *interested* in Locke until she said otherwise. The connection with Mousetrap and Locke's life is definitely interesting. I felt so bad for Locke all throughout this episode. He's been through way too much and hasn't done anything to deserve it. I can't imagine being betrayed as many times as he has. It was heart-breaking to watch as he began to truly love his father during their hunts because I already knew that he would be betrayed by him sooner or later. I took Locke's loss of leg power as the island's way of saving Locke's life. He would have been the one to climb up into that plane if he had been able. At the end, on the hatch, I think Locke realized he had sacrificed Boone - as he had sacrificed his kidney - and potentially all for naught...

OMG …..that was one of the best ones yet. Whe else things the paralysis (sp) was in Locke’s mind and nothing medical? Right now it looks like it’s going to be Boone that dies…..or does he????? Claire may have her baby……it looked like Jack was so busy with Boone or maybe they were too far away from Jack, but Charlie to Kate she’d have to deliver the baby. During Boone’s attempt to make radio contact the response was “there were no survivors”……. I'm still trying to sort everything out. Sada, I thought the same thing when I saw her looking at Locke...then he's chasing her through the parking lot. So where does the hatch come from...alien.....future.....???? I read that the season finale is on May 25th....up against A.I.'s season finale.

I will definitely be watching Losts final show over AI's. I agree with everyone else....excellent show. I felt so bad for Locke. Did they show how he became paralyzed? Did I miss it? Whe else things the paralysis (sp) was in Locke’s mind and nothing medical? If I translated this right, I think you are asking WHO else THINKS ......? Its something to consider since trauma seems to dictate recovery and possibly emotional disappointment brings it on???? Upset over father, cant walk. Plan crashes, he walks. Fails break the window, cant walk. Boone needs help, he walks seemingly without difficutly. I hope Boone doesnt die. Id rather his sister be gone. I got a kick out of Jack asking Sawyer about sex with a prostitue and STDs...  Loved the new glasses....made Sawyer look hott

I'm hoping it's not Boone either, but who knows.....they could be throwing us a curve in the previews. That was absolutely hilarious when Jack was asking the questions..... Loved Hurley's comment about Harry Potter too.
