More bear sightings in the cities
My local news had a story about the drastic increase of bear encounters in the cities. Houses are being built closer to the woods so more bears are ending up strolling downtown, swimming in people's pools, or moving into children's tree houses. Personally, I feel sorry for the poor bears. We're taking away their space to roam and they get hurt or relocated when they're found too close to people. Maybe there should be tougher restrictions about where housing editions can be put in to make sure that they don't encroach on wildlife habitats. Humans can live anywhere but animals are generally limited to whatever habitat they can live in.
