May 3rd show
My bottom two picks are Anthony and Scott. Carrie and Bo were great tonight IMO. Anthony was the worst IMO. I didn't like either of his song choices or how he sang them, though I thought he sang better on the 2nd song. Scott was o.k. tonight. I like his version of On Broadway and I thought he did o.k. on the 2nd song. Vonzell I think ranks 3rd tonight. I thought her vocals were o.k. on the 1st song but I didn't really like the song itself. The 2nd song actually hurt my ears. I thought she was pitchy. I didn't hear what Paula and Randy heard. Bo - I love the song Stand By Me and the way he sang it. His 2nd song choice was great as well. I thought he did awesome. Carrie - I love country and I love her voice. I think she did great on both songs, but the second one brought tears to my eyes. I was actually suprised that Paula praised her, I can't recall her doing that too often. I think Simon was a little harsh on her. The fact that he doesn't understand country I think plays a big part in that.

:lol: I am complete opposite on the Carrie & Vonzell. Carrie is such a dead fish. Granted she can sing but she has ZIPPO for charisma... and i loved Vonzell's performances... I heard what Randy & Paula heard.. it was great IMO. Bo was Bo. Good job. :| Scott was ok. :shock: EEKKK..someone can slap me later... lol :razz: Anthony should go home, he isn't gettin any better from week to week.

Lets just say I love Carrie, Vonzell, and Bo. The other 2, send them home already. :grin:

I've watched the first song for each of them. Anthony and Vonzell were terrible, I agree with Simon when he called her performance a mess. I thought that Scott did well..Carrie did best by far.

well the second round is over. Anthony blew. Vonzell was CHEAP, thats the group song that they've had since the beginning of the season. Scott did well singing wise tonight, but his personality shined right through. Carrie kicked everyones ass.

Bo's first performance was my favourite of the season ... the first time I got that great song feeling in my gut. His second song was great too. I thought Carrie was great tonight too. The Elvis song was a great choice for her and she did it well, and I already loved her 2nd song and she did that great as well. Vonzell is a doll and I thought she did alright. Go home to the other two. Dump two this week and call it done??? If it doesn't come down to a Carrie/Bo final 2, then there should be another investigation!!!

1st songs tonight: Anthony – He prefaced his song with the comment “I’m a goofball.” You got that right dude! “Poison Ivy” is a stupid song and it showed all his vocal weaknesses. I completely agreed with Simon that his singing was “insipid and amateurish”. “Scotty” – I really wish Ryan would quit referring to him as “the body”…it makes me want to retch. “On Broadway” certainly fits his attitude. It did fit his voice though even if he didn’t hit some of the notes well. I liked Simon’s comment of Scott having “more escapes than Houdini”. As much as I dislike Scott, this performance gave him the edge over Anthony tonight. Vonzell – She seemed really relaxed and like she was having fun with “Treat Me Right”. I agreed with Randy’s assessment that her performance showed that she was trying to win. Bo – OMG, he actually let go of the mike stand for one song!! :shock: :shock: The judges loved him and he was actually singing instead of his usually rocker singing-but-almost-shouting mode. Carrie – Oh, no! For a moment I thought she had caught microphone-stand-grippingitis from Bo. Fortunately, she let go. She has better vocals than Bo and the judges concurred that she picks songs that not only suit her vocally but suit the type of singer she wants to be/is. 2nd songs tonight: Anthony – He was better with his second song but he’s still the weakest overall tonight. “Scotty” – His vocals were shaky on this song. It was not as good a performance as his first song. His arrogance is becoming extremely irritating. I think this experience is going to his head. For ego-readjustment alone, he ought to be the next one eliminated. Vonzell – This performance was more low-key than her first one but the song showcased her vocals better. Randy liked it enough to give her a standing ovation. Bo – The country look with the shirt and the fringed jacket didn’t seem to go with the song. Unfortunately, he was also back to carrying the mike stand around. Carrie – Once again, Carrie didn’t really “perform” this song but she did sing beautifully. Vocally the best song of the night. Did Randy get confused when he said Carrie gave another perfect vocal? It was Vonzell he had said that about in the first round of songs. I would rank the singers in the opposite order of which they sang: Carrie the best, then Bo, then Vonzell, then Scott, and finally Anthony.

Here's how I would rank tonight's overall performances: 1. Carrie 2. Bo 3. Scott 4. Vonzell 5. Anthony Scott surprised me tonight, he was better than normal. Not great, but good. I think he's safe this week. Vonzell, on the other hand, had better pack her bags. She was off tonight. I have a feeling Anthony can come out and sing off key and forget half the words and still be safe. Even though he sounded awful tonight, I think he won't be going home. The difference between Carrie and the rest of the pack is huge. She is totally in a league of her own. Nobody can touch her. If she could somehow make her performances less robotic, she would be the perfect contestant.

Carrie's first song was IMO her best but her second song sucked. What the hell was Randy talking about when he said her vocals were perfect? That song was boooorrriinnggg...... Didn't care for Vonzell's second song and why the heck did she chose one of AI's own songs for her first number?? :? ' Bo rocked as always.... Scott nailed his first song but fell apart on the second one. Horrible.... I agree Brinna, that he is getting too big for his britches. He thinks he's actually going to be a star on Broadway??? Yeah, when hell freezes over. Anthony, love his voice but he doesn't always pick songs that showcase it. Bottom three: 1. Scott 2. Anthony 3. Vonzell Scott better be the one going home!

Re: AOL Poll
This week's AOL poll shows Bo winning with 53%, Carrie with 37%, Vonzell with 4%, Anthony with 4%, and Scott with 1%. Scott had the lowest percentage last week's poll... so we know the AOL poll isn't accurate and probably won't predict what will happen this week.
