March 26 episode You must have been a beautiful baby: Gabrielle and Carlos continued the baby hunt, but they rejected birth moms who looked a bit seedy. Gaby thought they'd hit the jackpot with a pregnant pole dancer named Libby, but Libby acted as if she didn't want to give her baby to a Mexican couple. Gaby learned that money was Libby's real bias, and seemingly bought her off with a three-plus carat diamond necklace, but don't be too sure that Libby's handing off that baby.
After-hours sale: After fighting with Andrew at a department store, Bree ends up drunk and passed out in their dressing room. When she wakes and finds herself locked in, the only friend she can think to call is a man she just met in AA. Her battle with Andrew will continue, but it looks as if she may have found herself a new ally.
Open Mike night: When Dr. Ron confronted Susan about her delirious babble about Mike, she denied knowing a Mike. He foolishly believed her, but conniving Karl set up a plumbing emergency to introduce the two men. Dr. Ron broke up with Susan in a rage, but at the end of the show, he'd called her back, much to Mike's displeasure.
Milk of human kindness: Lynette hired another young mom, Veronica, only to recoil in disgust when she learned the woman is breast-feeding her five-year-old son. A few well-placed sips of chocolate milk swayed the boy. But Lynette was even more horrified to learn the mom was prolonging the breast-feeding less for the child than to keep her own weight down. I'll drink to that.
Return of the Applewhites: Betty and family returned this week -- finally. When Matthew asked his mother for money to buy Danielle a birthday gift, Caleb overheard. And later that night when Danielle returned home, she found Caleb had somehow gotten into her bedroom -- with a present. She probably shouldn't have rejected it so violently, and she definitely shouldn't have called him a "freak."
Plumb crazy: Mike saw Dr. Ron and Susan fighting in the street, and went after Dr. Ron when he saw him seemingly attack Susan. He later tried to talk to her about the altercation, but she wasn't having it. Was Mike just coming to her defense as a friend, or have his old romantic feelings for Susan returned?
Ah yes, I remember it well: Andrew had no problem stealing Bree's credit card and skipping out on his grounding. When Bree confronted him, he threatened to make up memories of Bree sexually abusing him. Even if people didn't really believe him, they'd always wonder, and her reputation would be ruined, he pointed out. Bree's son never seems to run out of evil ideas.
