Mar. 31 Well that was just plain sad.....
I actually thought that Ulong was going to win the reward....until the guy said how, although Koror's wasn't better it was lower on the beach and could be seen easier  ....dang....
So Ian comes back with a giant clam.....I'm now curious while watching Tom go down the beach if he felt he needed to outdo Ian or was all that just editing. You knew after all that shark meat Koror was going to be strong for the reward challenge....not that they needed it.
As soon as Coby got up there to be their point person you could tell from the look on his face that he was super confident he could get this puzzle completed and fast.....I hate those darn puzzles...   .
What is Stephanie's problem.....is she afraid to step up and take a leadership roll....oh I forgot this is Ulong...they were all afraid to take a leadership roll. I like Bobby Jon, but if I had to pick someone out to do that I would have picked Stephanie....what were they thinking.
I don't know why Ibrehem (sp) was taken by surprise at tribal council....Stephani came right out and told him that Bobby Jon had promised her he'd vote Ib off.....and, correct me if I'm wrong (like y'all wouldn't  )...but didn't Bobby Jon confirm to both Steph and Ib that he still wasn't sure who he was going to vote for. Totally clueless...when a person says that, then the other 2 needed to vote his butt out of there. K, I'm actually glad they didn't cause he's still not hard on the eyes

hey bookie! I think we need to keep on of top of this forum people because I posted about last night on RTVP, but I'd rather post here!! It just seems not as many people are interested here  That's ok, I like to repeat myself!
It was really too bad about the reward challenge, Ulong really could have used that! They should have put it lower, I noticed that when the plane flew it was a bit too close to the forest. They definitely could have used the food though, and there were quite a few packets in there which would have went far among 3 people! I mean all they've got to eat so far are pringles
ITA Steph should have been the one to do the puzzle. Even as BJ was going she was like correcting him. I think they could have won if she started out there.
I was so happy that Steph was saved! It would have made sense for her and Ib to oust the undecisive BJ, the swing vote can get you in trouble, but like bookie I'm glad he's around! Those two work harder than anyone in any tribe because they have to! They dont get to sit out challenges, have others collect food and water, they have to do it all themselves. I would totally be down for a BJ/Steph romance! But she has a boyfriend, and he's turning into a caveman next episode  Speaking of which: Gren = the next Romber?
Finally, I had mentioned this before, but I wanted to get a Reality Island (traslation:more sensitive) opinion. Don't you think Tom was harsh when talking about how they ate 'shark steaks until they were sick' right after BJ happily exclaining they got a 'hand-sized' fish to eat and that he was afraid of sharks. Tom seems to like to glaot and one-up people, my heart broke for Ulong then (it has been the whole season poor team  ).
I will be the happiest person ever if depsite the odds Steph or BJ manages to win this entire thing!

It was a pretty good episode, I thought.
I wonder what's going to happen with the tribes next week. It's time to start forming the jury, so a merge makes sense. But you never know with this tricky game. If they don't merge, that means that teams of two will be competing in challenges which is a lot of pressure!
Those puzzles are tricky. But they got a replica to practice with. I think I would have done that puzzle over and over and over again if I were on Ulong. They had a lot of control in that challenge and they still didn't win.

Rubini, I figure after everyone reads what I wrote they'll realize just how bad I am at writing and will decide to start jumping in.   It's reverse psycology (sp) or something like that LOLOL
I don't know about harsh.....but yeah, that had to have been tough for Ulong to listen to. I felt bad for Bobby Jon...after he mentions he's afraid of sharks then hears how Tom went out and got one    . But it is a game and it is just as much a mental game as it is a physical one.
I still wonder if Tom went out looking to catch a shark to prove "he is the man".
I've come to like Coby more and more, I love all his little "asides" to the camera    . But my fave is still Ian.
Kitri- 04-01-2005
Ulong's message was clearly larrger than Koror's but they put it too close to the trees! Dang! I really wanted them to win both challenges. Steph should have been the caller in the puzzle challenge. I think they would have won seeing how Janu was struggling. She was exhausted.
Oh, yeah Rubini, Tom's starting to get a bit too cocky. Seems like he loves to be the center of attention. Ian got a clam, Tom goes and kills a shark then had to go and brag about it after Bobby Jon said he caught the black fish. Why didn't BJ say he got a clam, too?
Tom's overconfidence is going to be his downfall. I like the guy, but big heads aren't very attractive.

ITA--the Colby slant on things is hillarious!

Rubini, I looked here first last night but no one had posted yet and I didn't want to be a spoiler!
That was a brutal episode for Ulong. If BJ and Steph are gone and it's just Koror left...I don't know who I would even root for. I so want to see BJ & Steph do well, but I don't see any scenario where they could win the game.
As for Tom's shark comments, Jeff brought up the fishing topic almost immediately, and he had to know about Tom's shark. I think Jeff likes to stir things up. It was Katie that first mentioned Tom's being the "beastmaster", so I didn't get the impression that Tom was boasting. Ulong looked pretty good, though. They didn't seem to be too dejected by the revelation that their little fish was just bait compared to the shark that Koror caught.
Pepette- 04-01-2005
I dont think Tom was being anything but normal when he went after that shark. Remember he and someone else tried before with the snakes? I think he just seen his chance and took it.
Then again maybe thats my attraction to Tom speaking
I dont particularly like Coby...he bugs me. He is one of those that likes to make snotty comments about what others do or dont do, but he dont really get off his butt to do anything so he needs to just shut it. He reminds me of a bitchy school girl.
Rubini- 04-01-2005
I still like Tom, but I don't know, he is seeming a bit cocky lately! He had every rght to be proud of his shark, but I don't know, the "eating it til we were sick" commented just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it's because I like Steph and Bobby Jon so much, but hey, they still ate and were full they said, their bodies clearly don't need as much as Korors because they're used to much less. That little fish and the clam was a feast for them so it's all good!
I feel we don't get to see a lot of personalities over at Koror because there are so many of them compared to Ulong. Like I have more of a vested interest in Steph and BJ, but it seems like Tom is the main person they focus on at Koror. I know nothing really about Caryn, Jen and Janu for example. I'm still rooting for Ian as well from that team!

Tom's overly confident. He hasn't even had to play the game but he's got it all figured out.
I think when we see more of him everyone is going to find out that he is not as nice and wonderful as everyone thinks he is.

I'm still not sure which way he's going, but I think you're right. Which is too bad.

Count me among the ones who thought Ulong was going to win reward. I really wanted them to win, too, this time. I just felt so sorry for them.
I hate those darn puzzles
Same here. I had them as a kid and never finished one.
If it was me on Survivor, I'd still be out there saying, "OK, move that one to the empty space on the left... um... no, move it back..."

The Kuror team has rubbed in the food stuff before. When they won the dinner thing to eat at tribal counsel. At camp they were saying that they should keep it low profile so as not to rub it in to Ulong. But the same person who suggested that turned around and was making the biggest fuss. Talk about a hypocrite. I think Tom was just smarter. He saw the others trying and saw how their attempts weren't working so he thought he'd give it a try and with a machete. He probably didn't tell them ahead of time so that he wouldn't look stupid if it didn't work. If they would have been able to get the fire going they would have definately won, instead it was just luck that they placed their message farther from the trees.
