Kirsten Ehrig Age: 37 Hometown: Los Angeles, CA Education: USC (Undergraduate) Hastings College of Law Biography: Kirsten Ehrig, founder of "O Maillots de Bains," was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She moved west to attend the University of Southern California where she received her B.A. in Art History and French. After college, Ehrig relocated to Europe and spent several years modeling in Paris. Kirsten went on to obtain her law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and has been a business litigator since 1999. Specifically, she has represented countless garment manufacturers and other businesses in litigation and arbitrations. Many of her clients are up-and-coming designers from the Los Angeles area. She launched her own line of women's swimwear called "O Maillots de Bains" following a life-long dream. The line marries her love of jewelry design with her admiration for the way European women approach a day at the beach. In her first year, she received the "Fresh Faces in Fashion" award from GenArt. Since then, her designs have been featured in many national magazines including ELLE, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, Lucky, Esquire, Ocean Drive, and W. A few of Kirsten's fashion-forward celebrity and socialite clients include Jade Jagger, Petra Nemcova, Samantha Boardman, Marisa Berenson, Donna Karan, and Emilia Fanjul.

Tim's Take: Episode 1 Kirsten is the only designer who created pants, cropped pants to be specific. Add to this a sleeveless bib-like top and a cropped jacket. Given the relative simplicity of Kirsten's design, I was frustrated that she was struggling with the fit of the pants, because there are so few seams, and, therefore, so few decisions to make. Just do it! In the end, her look fit well and looked passable, but it was also very ho-hum. Auction Bid : $ 30.00

Tim's Take: Episode 2 Kirsten is OUT. A former fashion model, Kirsten looks stunning in everything that she wears. She attended our party wearing a gold jacket over a vintage Porsche t-shirt and jeans and an heirloom Hermes scarf of great sentimental value. She audibly balked at the command that everything they were wearing was to be used for the fabrication of this design challenge. We could debate the merits of her innovations: a skirt made from panels of the gold jacket and jeans, a bib top out of the vintage t. Kirsten's decision to hold back the heirloom scarf became her Waterloo. To everyone's thinking, most importantly the judges, she was self-declaring that she was unwilling to go as far as we expected. Bon Voyage, Kirsten. Auction Bid : $ 45.00
