June 26 episode comments I missed bits and pieces last night. How the heck did the grads end up ahead of the Brown team?
If she couldn't finish the trek and had to be driven, then I would have thought they'd be eliminated. I'm not understanding what the heck is going on. :? :?
pika- 06-27-2006
I'm going to post a recap as soon as it's available from the official site.
bookie- 06-27-2006
Yeah, I went to look there to see what I missed but it's not up yet. Can you merge this thread with the recap once it's up?
Assuming you will ....
So what the heck did Team Fogal do to the other guys. I think it was Team Southie & CIA who helped the rat team out.
pika- 06-27-2006
To answer your question, no, you can't merge existing threads. Even if I did, these comments would come before the recap, which I wouldn't want, so I'm going to start a new thread for the recap.
I recorded the show last night but haven't had time to watch it yet.

Seriously I cant believe this family, its the Weavers all over again but worse because this man is actually a pastor and supposedly preaching to others.
It was the Fogals, Southie's nad CIA team, they were all working together because the Southies and CIA team helped the Fogals carry their canoe because the daughter (?) started whining about not being able to do it. One of the helpers said "just remember this later" in response to a thank you. So later, Mr Fogal said lets stop at star #13 and dig just in case we missed one. THey were supposed to dig ant #14. So they get to #13 and the Southies and CIA go ashore and the Fogals take off down the river! THEN...the daughter has the nerve to ask, when they are in their truck after covering up the box that was left visible for them, she ask "can we pray for the other teams becuase that was rough". The mother says some half ass prayer that, unless I missed it didnt even metion the other teams.
I cant stand this family!!!!!

I have to say this, if I was from Texas I would be so ashamed to admit it after watching the Wild Hanlons. OMG they are stupid!
They really deserve to be gone but it is funny to watch them be so clueless at everything. I mean come on...11 hours in that mine?! Then instead of looking at the decoder paper, he tries to look at it upside down and say it looks like Theodore Roosevelt. Then they drive 8o miles for burgers!
I was a little glad to see the Browns go, they really arent in the right shape to do this game. But it looked from the previews that the Browns are arguing with someone. I wonder if those girls had to drop out and they were let back in?

when I heard that I said to hubby, the fools. But I missed that next part. Thanks Pepette
Aren't the Hanlons unbelievable. I nearly fell off the couch when they said they're going to get something to eat.
As for the Brown's if that wasn't a scene from the first episode, then I'm guessing the grad girls couldn't continue, so the Brown's were saved.
Ok, this may be mean and I'm really sorry, but don't the Brown's remind you of Eddie Murphy's character the Nutty Professor. I burst out laughing when they were doing the interviews after.

Oops, I forgot it was on last night. I guess it must have made a great impression on me. I'm looking forward to the recap though, Pika. Maybe I'll watch it next week.
Who got eliminated? The Browns or the Hanlons??
bookie- 06-27-2006
The Browns as far as we could tell....

It was definitely the Browns who got eliminated...although the idiot Wild Hanlon team will probably go next, followed by either the grad students (due to the injury) and the other idiot team, Miss USA.

I was a bit ticked at NBC for showing us the Browns in next weeks previews. Clearly, the grad girls won't be able to continue and the Browns are going back in.
The Wild Hanlons though -- they are the only reason worth watching this show. Thoroughly entertaining guys.
Jayusmagnus- 06-28-2006
Okay...I'm all caught up on this show.
Fogals- Pepette is right about everything she said about you. And y'all are going to hell.
Grads - Tough luck. Plucky though to carry a teammate AND the canoe through that portage. 3 miles is a mother of a portage (longest one I ever did was 1/2 mile and it seemed awful).
Wild Hanlons - yep, entertaining as heck, stupid as the day is long, and luck has kept them in it. The grads getting hurt and the Browns flipping their canoe let them in. They're SO lucky that the dinner break didn't screw them. And even in the previous episode, it was another team that GAVE them the code to open the box with artifact at Rushmore. If I was related to them I would cringe everytime they were on screen.
Browns - At least they didn't give up. I'll give them that. And if the Grads have to drop out due to injury...I'm glad its the Browns that get a second chance. Go Fat Men!

Re: Wild Hanlons I *heart* the Wild Hanlons. I hope they win.
Nah, not really. But they sure are entertaining as heck.
