Interview with Kaysar “There Wasn’t Much Trust to Go Around”: An Interview with Big Brother: All-Stars’ Kaysar
by David Bloomberg -- 08/11/2006
Kaysar became collateral damage in the cold war between James and Janelle – a war Kaysar didn’t even know was occurring! What does he think about James’ play? How about his own play? Did he tell any lies in the house? Read on to find out all of this and more! Warning: This article contains spoiler information about events that occurred in the house after Thursday night’s episode ended.
After being evicted from Big Brother for the third and, presumably, final time, Kaysar talked to RealityNewsOnline about his time in the house and his thoughts on what happened to him.
RealityNewsOnline: Hello, Kaysar, how are you this morning?
Kaysar: Doing well. Got up bright and early.
RNO: You told Julie Chen that you’re not cut out for the game – so what made you come back?
Kaysar: You know, I sincerely believe that I can play this game with respect and by respecting others and playing with integrity and honesty. As much as I told myself I could be more devious than last time, it’s not part of who I am. I can’t do it. Last time, I might have been able to , but this time there were too many daggers flying and you can’t dodge them. When you think you can trust somebody, you need to rely on people. And when everyone’s got their own agenda and there isn’t a shred of integrity left in the house, it really leaves me between a rock and a hard place.
I had suspected James would turn eventually, but this soon in the game, it was quite disappointing. And with Danielle had tried to reach out to me and told me she trusted me more than anyone in the house, it was disappointing. I may appear to be naïve, but I do trust people and want to see the good in people. I can’t play the game like a Dr. Will or a James or Danielle, or even Erika who is floating. That’s why I say maybe I don’t fit in that sort of game.
RNO: What was your plan coming into the game?
Kaysar: My plan was to be myself and hopefully sort of appeal to the kinder, gentler part of who they are. I knew everyone would come out guns blazing, aggressive, and devious. I wanted to tug on their heart strings and capture their sensitive sides. I thought if I can be honest and transparent as possible and respectful, I can probably gain the support of some of the house. Clearly that did not work.
RNO: Do you think it was fair to have so many Big Brother 6 players in the game together?
Kaysar: I can’t say whether or not it was fair. After all, America voted us in. Put it this way – as much of an advantage as it was for us, it was also a disadvantage. It was a huge target, we had to win HOH every week and didn’t have the luxury of a week of relaxation. We had to win. There was no way to take the focus off of us. That was part of the whole theory of leaving Chill Town in, to get the attention off of one big target and on another.
RNO: How did you feel when Julie Chen ambushed you with the information about James’ secret alliance and his feelings about Janelle?
Kaysar: Parts of what she said to me was not a shock. I know how James feels about Janelle’s game play. He’s fed it to me piecemeal over the course of the week. I knew he was going to eventually defect and find a new home with Danielle. The part that was shocking was the alliance with Chill Town. Did you realize just how mad James was at Janelle?
Kaysar: Yeah, I did realize how much anger he was harboring. I have to say, I was a little disappointed. Part of being loyal is rolling with it. There has to be some understanding as to what happens in the game and sticking with it. That’s his game plan and I wish him the best. Those were the decisions he made. It’s a surprise, a shock, and I believe I did my best to pave the way for him.
RNO: He seemed to think your alliance had a deal, that he would go along with taking out a floater during his time as HOH and the next HOH would target Chill Town. Did you think that deal was in place?
Kaysar: Here’s the thing, which is what we tried to explain to him. The game changes week to week, even day to day. My target as HOH varied. Same thing first week, and second week, and third week, and so on. It’s going to change. He needed to understand that. Unfortunately, he didn’t and felt it was a big conspiracy. We were entertaining multiple options. You make your decisions based on who comes to your door or what kind of cross talk you pick up. Then you finally decide and go with it. There was no conspiracy or deals made. It was kind of ironic to see him complain about those things and then do it himself. It might have been an act of preservation and securing his spot, I don’t know. But he was complaining about feeling he was getting wronged, and I truly did try to make sure he was treated fairly and the team was open and honest.
I do believe Janelle might have made some mistakes that cost us the game. It depends on how you look at it.
RNO: Why did you avoid going after Chill Town when you were HOH?
Kaysar: Here’s the thing: it was pretty obvious that the season 6 alliance was a big target. We coming in with four very strong players. People were gunning for us, it was very apparent. We had two objectives: 1) win as many HOHs as possible. 2) create a seemingly bigger target in the house to offset what was taking place. That’s what we were trying to do. We won as many HOHs as we could. The second was trying to make it seem like Chill Town was a huge issue.
RNO: How do you think your relationship with James will be in the future?
Kaysar: It’s no secret that James is going to look out for James. That’s his style of play. We’ll still be friends after we get out. Was I surprised he went with Danielle? I called it before we went into the house, but we wanted to make it as difficult as possible. He seized the opportunity to do so. But we’ll still be friends and we’ll still be talking on a regular basis.
RNO: I don’t know if the same will be true of Janelle and James!
Kaysar: I can’t speak for Janelle! She might feel more betrayed.
RNO: Did you tell any lies in the house this season?
Kaysar: When I said I didn’t make any alliances or deals, I didn’t. when I said I was being transparent, I was. I told Danielle that there were some things that would stay between us. But as soon as I found out she was working against us, I shared it. But nothing too big. If others come forth with other information, I will gladly take responsibility.
RNO: Did you have any backup plans in case the BB6 alliance broke down?
Kaysar: Yes. It depends on how it broke down. If we lost Janelle, I would probably try to maintain control of Howie. I would have tried to align myself with people who respected me and my game play. It was all based upon trust. Obviously there wasn’t much trust to go around.
RNO: Given what happened with the HOH competition being redone and Janelle winning, who do you think she will target now?
Kaysar: It’s pretty ironic. I think there’s a higher power looking out for her.
RNO: Some would say that higher is Big Brother!
Kaysar: (Laughs.) I’m sure Erika’s not too happy about it. I think Janelle is going to go after Danielle and put Erika on the block with her. But Janelle doesn’t realize there are all sorts of secret alliances.
RNO: Many people who go on reality TV shows talk about how much they’ve learned about themselves. You’ve now been on the same show twice, and evicted three times – what have you learned?
Kaysar: I did most of my learning and growing up last time. This time, not so much. I don’t think I learned much about myself this time around. As for others, a snake will continue to be a snake. People will continue to play a certain way no matter what they say. I learned I myself can’t change. I can’t change who I am. I’m just a nice guy, I guess.
RNO: Who do you think will win?
Kaysar: That’s going to be tough. It’s always a toss-up at the end. The whole thing is so screwed up. I think George will be part of the final four. I’m thinking Howie will get to there. Maybe Boogie.
RNO: You think Will will be gone by then?
Kaysar: Yeah. Eventually he is going to get taken out.
RNO: I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win.
Kaysar: He could pull it off. He’s playing a great game. He’s playing his game. That’s the way he does it. Kudos to him.
RNO: Do you have anything to tell your fans?
Kaysar: I have yet to really jump online, so I don’t know what my popularity is still there. I don’t know if people are disappointed in my game play. For the fans that are left and still like me, I’d like to say thank you for voting me back into the house. It was an awesome experience. I adore my fans. I really do. It makes things so much more fun. It’s awesome to be doing something you love doing. Support is always a plus.
RNO: Thanks, Kaysar.

Kaysar was really surprised at all the stuff going on behind his back.
I totally agree with Kaysar that there is a higher power helping Janelle in the game. She may not win but she still has that higher power that protects her and guides her. I truly believe that. Even with her mistake thinking that James and Will are on her side she still moves on in the game. I am fasinated by that special something that keeps her winning. Yes, she should be taken to Las Vegas as a lucky charm.

I hope Janey eventually catches on to James and confronts him about it. She's mentioned before that she has suspicions about him so she's not toally dumb.
I'm not sure if it's a higher power helping Janey or what. She seems to be very observant, as you can tell by how well she does in challenges that involve changes in the house, the order houseguests left the house, things they've said or did in the past, etc. Since she notices things she's more likely to be two and two together than some of the other houseguests.
Will is also very observant and a good judge of human nature. That's what makes him such an expert at playing the other houseguests. He and Janey would actually make a very good couple and a strong alliance. Although I don't really see Will being in a true partnership with anyone. He's using Boogie as his flunky but when it comes down to it, Will would throw him under the bus in a heartbeat.

It's true that Janelle is super observant but when they were looking in the dump trash in the yard she seemed to be guided on where to look.
Why is it that Danielle and the others who were trying their super best didn't find the things they were looking for? This is why I personally think she has help from the other side.... maybe a spirit guide. All she has to do is just follow her intuition. But when the information is in front of her she ignores the information and pushes it out of her brain and I think that is what gets her in trouble. She wondered why James didn't try hard enough to win the VETO. James just talked his way out of it and Jani seemed confused or perplexed by his answer whereas deep inside of her she knew he really wasn't trying to win.
