Episode Recap: Week 9 (4/24) Everyone was ready to celebrate Leslie's birthday, but Lee was the one to return to the suite. The guys were happy to see him, but Charmaine felt that Trump had made the wrong decision.
The teams met with Ivanka, Donald Trump, Jr., and an Ameriquest executive to receive their next task. Each team was to spend the day taking photographs on Ellis Island to help them create a souvenir tourist program sponsored by Ameriquest – all proceeds would benefit the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Foundation. The team to make the most money would win the task.
Lee, working as project manager for Gold Rush, sent Michael and Tarek to Ellis Island to take pictures while he and Charmaine worked on getting leads to sell their tourist program in bulk. Both of them struggled to make any sales, and Lee was concerned about another possible loss.
Because Ellis Island meant so much to Allie on a personal level, she became project manager for Synergy. Once on the island, half the team went on the tour while the other half went to take pictures. Andrea felt that taking the tour was a complete "waste of time" and wasn't shy about sharing that opinion with Allie.
As they were about to ship off back to Manhattan, Synergy panicked when Tammy realized she left her notebook behind. Allie and Tammy ran off the boat to retrieve it, but by the time they got back to the dock, the boat was pulling away.
Gold Rush got started on creating their limited edition, souvenir Ameriquest Ellis Island tour program. Ivanka stopped by to check on them as they worked with a graphic designer. Charmaine felt that Tarek was doing the real project management and admitted that she didn't want to win the task under Lee's leadership.
While Allie and Tammy were stuck on Ellis Island, the rest of the team got started with their graphic designer to create their brochure under Andrea's guidance – Andrea boasted about her graphic design background. When Allie arrived and saw what Andrea had created, she wasn't pleased at all. Tensions ratcheted up when Andrea told Allie to stop making "deep sighs."
Bright and early the next morning, Lee brought his troops down to Battery Park, which is where most tourists embark from to visit Ellis Island. Lee was prepared to "declare war" against Synergy when they showed up.
Synergy arrived and Tammy did some quick reconnaissance, discovering that Gold Rush's brochures were "way nicer" than the ones they created and that Gold Rush had quite a hard start in selling them. Taking Andrea's advice, Allie led her team to the island to try and sell them from the museum.
Gold Rush's sales got an additional boost when one of Charmaine's sales calls paid off. A representative from Coldwell Banker agreed to pay $85 for 100 brochures.
On the island, Allie felt that Andrea was doing a terrible job selling their brochures and was incredulous when, in the last half hour of the sale, Andrea mentioned that she was expert in making bulk sales.
Donald Trump, Jr. announced that Synergy raised $843.40. Ivanka then announced that Gold Rush raised $1,548. Ameriquest was so impressed with both teams, that they donated $10,000 to the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island Foundation.
Things were unpleasant in the suite when Andrea confronted Allie for "lying" to Trump. Calling the women of Synergy "bitches," Andrea claimed to have sold $210 worth of brochures while the others barely pulled their own weight.
For their reward, Gold Rush and Donald Trump enjoyed a round of golf at Trump National Gold Club with golf legend Vijay Singh. In addition, each team member got a set of golf clubs.
Andrea eavesdropped as Allie tried to line up her other teammates to her side. Everyone agreed that Andrea had to go, but Sean was uncertain about this tactic. When they realized that Andrea was listening, Sean and Andrea went off to have a word together leaving Allie to vow that there would be "blood everywhere" by the time their boardroom was through.
Allie immediately placed the blame on Andrea's soldiers. Trump was surprised because he thought Andrea was a "star." Roxanne jumped in, saying that Andrea was not a team player and not a good leader.
Sean didn't "wholeheartedly" agree with his team, and when pressed by Donald, Jr., he said he would fire Allie for not being able to manage Andrea. Allie quickly pointed out that she gave Andrea the job of designing their brochure because she was a "self-proclaimed graphics specialist," and that Andrea did a "shoddy" job.
Tammy weighed in that Andrea made things “exceptionally difficult” for the team and was incapable of being managed. The issue of Andrea failing to tell everyone about her background in bulk sales also came up, and Andrea failed to explain why she waited until the last minute to inform her team of this skill.
Trump didn't feel that Synergy was trying to be vicious in getting rid of Andrea. In fact, he himself felt that Andrea was the reason they lost. "You destroy the chemistry of this team," Trump told her, "And Andrea, you're fired!"

I thought Andrea was the right one to be fired. We've seen in previous challenges that she sucks at sales and she's not a team player. She has to do everything herself without input from others and claims to be an expert on things but fails to back it up. In the boardroom, she admitted that her specialty in graphics is in hiring people with graphic skills. She really has none herself. Plus, she didn't tell her team about her bulk sales skills until it was too late to use them. However, based on her other supposed areas of expertise, she proobably wouldn't have delivered on that skill anyway if out to the test.
I think Sean shot himself in the foot by defending Andrea. She clearly was to blame for their team's loss and as long as the other members of the team weren't trying to pin the loss on him, Sean should have gone along with the them in getting Andrea fired. I don't think his team is going to be so buddy-buddy with Sean from now on and I wouldn't be surprised if he is the next from his team sent home.

Totally agree with you pika. That was a bad move on Sean's part. I think he figured Andrea would be safe so he didn't want to be on her bad side after.
Call me stupid but Allie, Roxanne, and Tammy are the only ones I see winning at this point. There is something about Sean that doesn't seem loyal. Lee has lost too much and his wins as project manager, imo, were not because of his work but because of his team's. Charmaine is too whiny. "awww Lee gets the credit cause he was PM. I want the credit for our first win in ages." Tarek will never be hired by Trump. he was not respected at all in the beginning. What has Micheal really done? :?
I would really like to see Allie, Roxanne, or Tammy win and Roxanne impressed me a lot in the boardroom last night... very good speaker!

VERY glad to see Andrea go! I didn't like anything about her and she would have made a horrible apprentice. It was time for her to go since she was causing so much dissention among her team and really not contributing anything useful. I don't know why Sean supported her.
