Diversity Is Boring
For years I've heard people moan and groan about the contestants on reality tv shows being too white and young and that everyone is the same, and that shows like Big Brother and Survivor would be better if there were more diversity. Well, those people got their wish with Survivor: Cook Islands. And you know what, this season is still just as boring.

Hi Matt, I guess it has gotten boring for you because you can see that the survivors are still making the same mistakes that the past survivors have made. It doesn't matter what culture they come from because of that. BUT...... since I am from the American and Mexican culture.... I find it very interesting watching the players. I especially like to watch Cao Boi who is a dufass. That guy is making all kinds of mistakes. I can't believe he is 42yrs old because he looks and acts like an old man. I like watching Ozzy get pissed off. Becky is not fun to watch because she is making mistakes by trusting the wrong people. I think most of the Hispanics will get booted out. They hardly say anything exciting or do any thing exciting. They are boring. I like watching the Asian group because I grew up with them. Since the merger.... I think some of them have a fighting chance to survive. Thursday night is going to steal some viewers like me because I plan to tape Survivor and watch the new show "Ughly Betty." The show is about a Mexican-American plain looking girl that is working with a lot of beautiful shallow people. I enjoy watching them. Luci

Re: Boring
Couldn't the producers find people of different races that have some personality? This bunch is a giant snooze fest for me. The only one that stands out is Cao Boi because he shows some personality. The others I couldn't care less about. This is what is making the season boring for me... everyone is the same. Well, except for their skin color and background. Also, seeing the same ol' challenges week after week that we've seen the last five years is really making the show a chore to watch. Sheesh. Can't the producers come up with something different each year? I'm sick and tired of watching people solve puzzles or untie knots.

Hi Matt, I was out of town. I have a feeling that lots of viewers feel the same way you do about Survivor. Yes, it is getting old and I notice that the survivors are not starving either. I wonder if they filled the Island with chickens so they could have food hummm..... I don't see them losing weight. I don't see the bug bites either. They must have been given some strong anti bug stuff to put on their clothes and skin. Most of these Survivors are city people and they were chosen and most of them didn't have to apply for the show because they were hunted down by head-hunters. They were looking for race and not personalities. Yes, Cao Boi is the most interesting survivor to watch. I have chosen to watch Betty the Ughly and just tape Survivor. They are both at the same time.

Re: Survivor Is Boring
I fast-forwarded most of Survivor this week. I wasn't interested in watching the same ol' challenges for what seems like the hundredth time. Watching them in fast-forward is a little better, but not much. It's still boring as heck. Not a single second of Exile Island was shown this week. Hmmm, this twist sure seems to have fizzled this time around. With the Immunity Idol already found, Exile Island isn't even worth air time anymore. The vote this week was anything but shocking. Who didn't see JP getting the boot? Especially with all the set-up that took place before hand. It only made sense that the king of the roost was going to get knocked out by the hens. Serves him right for being such a jerk. Of course, their tribe is probably going to pay for it in the upcoming challenges. Oh well. I don't care, I don't like this particular tribe. Heck, I don't care all that much for the other tribe either.
