Here is my final answer for the popular phrase; ewe=you - grim reaper=reap - what you - sew - sow. The final clue was the grim reaper. "You reap what you sow" is a very popular phrase for telling people during farming days that if you worked hard you would get a great crop. But if you didn't work hard you would not get a good crop. But now a days they have another saying, "what goes around comes around". Some people call it karma. In the BB house.... that phrase means that if you play the game to win you will win otherwise you will lose if you don't play the game right. Never mind that the players are back stabbing eachother to win. "you reap what you sow".

Since the final clue is the grim reaper that means that the BB players are creating distrust among eachother... therefore they will only get distrust. That is just an example. They don't know who to really trust so they are turning against eachother even with a player that they could possibly trust.

Hmm, perhaps the Coup d'Etat answer is "You are so dead!".

LuciBell- 08-16-2006

Pika, I think you have the answer because of the grim reaper who comes to take you when you die if you have been bad. "You are so dead" makes a lot of sense to me also. But is that a popular phrase among people or the BB players? Hummm.......

I'm just throwing out ideas at this time. I have no idea what the answer will be. For all we know, it could be "Baaaaaad giant tailors meet their maker."

I still think the answer is 'You reap what you sow". That is a phrase I should have learned to live by a long time ago because recently I have been reapping sp what I sow in a positive manner. In my past I didn't sow things well in my life so now I am reapping some negative family members. Otherwise, I would most likely have better relations with my family members. I think Boogie OR Jani have the correct answer. I think Jani has the answer because she reads her bible. "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." The shortcut version is "You reap what you sow" or "You sow what you reap". Since BB is planning to show the grim reaper as the last clue that could be the answer. I think I have already beaten this phrase to death.lol.

Boogie won because he was first to say, "you reap what you sow". I heard Julie say that the" first person" to get it right was Boogie. Jani would have won if she had said it first because BB was willing to accept her answer too. She said, "You sow what you reap". Which I think is also accurate according to how the clues were given. Boogie was told not to tell anybody what his answer was and that he is the winner. I am sure Dr. Will already knows that Boogie is the winner. They do hand signs and use body language to communicate. Boogie is safe from being asked if he won. Some people will guess that he won it. It was soooo funny when Julie threw on Howie's face about 'the spool of lies". LOL. Everybody knew Howie was lying.

Re: Clues
I knew the popular phrase was "You reap what you sow" the minute I saw the giant spool of thread and needle. Heck, I even guessed the third clue would be the grim reaper. I should be an all-star.

"YEY MATT"!!! Isn't it great when we guess right. I guessed it right even without the final clue too. I think some of their answers were so stupid especially George's who went on and on about his clue. He looked all happy thinking he had the clue right. I don't think nobody noticed when Boogie yelled with happiness when he saw the grim reaper. I also think that Jani was already patting herself on her back when she saw the grim reaper because she also guessed before the final clue. I didn't notice her reaction. I was too busy looking at Boogie leap with joy when he saw the grim reaper.

Re: And The Answer Is...
I thought it was funny when Janelle screwed up and guessed "You sow what you reap" instead of "You reap what you sow". Even though completely backwards, it was much better than George's lame answer.

Has it ever been revealed what the Coup d'Etat power was? I kind of sort of watch the show but I'm always doing something else at the same time so I didn't see where Julie told Mike he won it and what he could use it for. Not that it matters now since dummy violated the rules and wasn't able to use it. I bet the producers are ticked that their big twist this year flopped.

Beacho- 08-23-2006

Yeah the big twist tanked for sure, was kinda disappointing actually
