Bree's Son Faking?
Previews for the next episode made me wonder if Bree's son is just faking his gayness to freak his mom out. Anybody else get that impression?

Not after the scene in the pool, unless he's a very dedicated faker.

Here's a recap from the episode that scene was in Brad. Episode 15: "Impossible" Bree is horrified when she finds a condom in the laundry basket. She accuses Rex of cheating on her again, but he tells her it has to be Andrew's. Bree grudgingly decides it's better to be safe than sorry and puts the condom on top of a pile of neatly folded clothes in Andrew's room. When the topic comes up at the dinner table, Andrew laughs and says it isn't his. It's Danielle's! She admits she was planning on having sex with John Rowland, and that he broke up with her because she wouldn't sleep with him. Bree's next step is to visit John and tell him to rebuff Danielle as cruelly as possible to make sure she doesn't hold out any hope. Tom is disappointed when he is passed over for VP at his office and Lynette tells him he should have been more aggressive. When the man who got the promotion instead of him has a heart attack, Tom goes after the job and gets it. Lynette is thrilled for him, until he tells her it will take him out on the road more. Lynette stops by Tom's new office and while she's there the boss's wife says she was the one who convinced him to promote Tom. So Lynette tells her how much Tom will miss of the kids' lives if he's gone so much. Her little job of sabotage works: Tom's promotion is revoked. When she sees how crushed Tom is, Lynette is remorseful, but she doesn't say anything. John's roommate, Justin, tells Gabrielle he'll mow her lawn for free, and offers to "take care of all the things John did." She turns him down, but he shows up anyway as their new free gardener, which money-strapped Carlos is thrilled about. Justin demands she sleep with him at least once or he'll tell Carlos about her and John. Gabrielle goes to John's apartment to tell him about Justin's threat. Only Justin is there and he apologizes for blackmailing her. He says he just wanted to prove to himself that he's not gay, even though he has a "buddy" he's been messing around with for some time now. Gabrielle kisses him goodbye as a test and he realizes he really is gay when he feels nothing. Carlos and Gabrielle reluctantly realize they're so broke they may have to sell their house and move away from Wisteria Lane. Zach invites Julie to a pool party, but she says she can't come because her mom has forbidden her to see him. Susan tells the other women about Mike shooting himself and how Lynette's children found Mrs. Huber's bracelet in his garage. They urge her to call the police and she reluctantly agrees. When Mike comes over to ask her why she's been avoiding him, the police show up and arrest him. A detective questions Susan, and she realizes that the night Martha Huber was murdered was the same night she and Mike first slept together. She's his alibi! Mike meets with the man footing the bill for his investigation who says he'll use his money to "save Mike's ass." The detective asks Susan to come down to the police station, where he tells her that an intruder was shot the same night Mike "accidentally" shot himself. Then he shows her Mike's police file: He's been convicted of drug trafficking and manslaughter. With Susan out, Julie goes over to Zach's pool party, where his creepy behavior finally convinces her there's something wrong with him. When she gets home, a tearful Susan tells Mike to stay away from her. Discovering that Julie's gone, Susan realizes she must be at Zach's and runs over to find her. Thinking Julie is in the pool making out with Zach, Susan demands the couple surface. It's Justin and Andrew! "I'm not gay!" Andrew insists, even though neither boy is wearing his swim trunks.

Yep, definitely missed that scene. :shock: I remember parts of that episode, though, so I must have checked out early or something. That may have been when I thought it was a stupid chick show. :wink:

Andrew told his father he "MAY" be gay. He didn't say he was gay. Sometimes young people have sexual experiences with the same sex because they are introduced to the experience. Andrew liked his sexual romping around with the gay guy. But he hasn't had an experience with a girl yet so he can't compare. I think that if Gaby was to kiss him it may wake up his sexual urges for a gal. If not, then he is gay. I once met some lesbian gals who said they had sex with a guy just to see if they liked it and they said they didn't. It was just an experiment just to make sure that they were really lesbians. Andrew is so mean.... what girl would want him? He could inherit his father's kinky sexual habits and love it. I do believe in inheriting some habits from our parents. I wonder if Andrew's father may get him a prostitute to see if Andrew is truly gay. Fathers think they are doing their sons a favor instead of doing some emotional damage. I knew a guy who was introduced to sex by doing it with a prostitute while she was eating an apple. She said, "hurry up". He said he was really nervous and scared and I think he walked out on her. He couldn't go through with it. But then when he turned 21yrs. old he met an older woman at a bar who would take him home and have sex with him and he loved it. She was nice to him.

Although I understand what your saying Luci, I think women are more apt to experiment with the same sex. Maybe I'm naive, but I think that for most straight men, just the IDEA of experimenting would be out of the question. I don't think a straight man has those tendencies, let alone actually acting on them.

I have heard of boys who do experiment with other boys their sexuality in all boys schools and in college dorms. The same goes for the girls too. It doesn't mean they are gay.

In April 17th show it does look like Bree's son is gay by what he was saying. But the strangest thing he said was really scary to the church Minister. He said he was going to do something really bad that will upset his mother. I am sorry to say that Bree's son is a sociopath which means he doesn't have a conscience. He sleeps good at night because he doesn't care about the bad things he does in his life. He said he didn't believe in God to the minister. He showed his evil side to the minister and the minister is totally helpless in trying to help him.

I'm bewildered/dismayed/annoyed by the Bree-Andrew storyline -- why wasn't she worried about his soul when he RAN OVER AND KILLED an old woman? and felt no remorse about it? Why wasn't Rev. Sykes over for dinner THEN? He should totally still be at the camp – he is a sociopathic son of a bitch. Susan and her mom were unbearable. That woman is beyond whiny and Susan shut up, Mike wasnt "the one". You didnt date for very long AND you pushed him away, so shut up!

I agree Sada...I was wondering when they were going to mention the fact that the boy is now a murderer, not just a hit an run driver. They seem to have forgotten that he killed a woman in the light of his sexual preference. Doesnt make a lot of sense. To me it would be more ..I dont give a rats ass who you are attracted to sexually, you are now a murderer. THATS what he should be talking to the minister about. Andrew creeped me out from the time he acted it was no big deal that he ran down the woman. I agree about Susans mother too. I couldnt live with her. She'd have to get out and soon!

I liked when Bree said she would still love him if he was a murderer. I was like HELLO!!!

Yep, I yelled at the tv then!! HE IS A MURDERER!!!! Geesh, he should be going to hell for that for crying out loud! And she and her husband covered it up! I wonder if they'll ever deal with that storyline?

Actually he's not. She survived being hit by a car, and woke up. It was the fall down the stairs caused by the negligent hospital staff that killed her. Of course, Bree didn't KNOW that, but still! :razz:

True but I still consider him responsible, he's the one that put her there in the first place. Had he not hit her, she wouldnt have been in the hospital, and wouldnt have fallen down those stairs. I rest my case....lock him up and throw away the key!
