Born To Run - May 11
Wednesday, May 11, 8/7c "Born to Run" Jack suspects foul play when Michael becomes violently ill while building the raft. Meanwhile a secret from Kate's past is revealed, the mysterious hatch is shown to a few of the survivors, and Walt gives Locke a warning. Hmmm well I don't think it's Locke doing these things anymore...he's been outed. In the previews it shows Walt telling Locke not to open the door or something like that...but then in the other previews it showed Sayid saying the same kind of thing. Wonder which of Kate's secrets will be revealed...the only one I want to know about is why she says she's responsible for a death....ok, so maybe there are a few more...like what that little plane means to her and why she had to break into the bank to get it.

The death she says she is responsible for is probably the old farmer that gave her a place to stay. He found out she was a fugitive and she decided to leave, he was driving her and that cop, detective or fed, whatever he was, that was handcuffed to her on the plane, caught up to them and there was an accident that killed the farmer.

I don't think the farmer died in that episode...remember if she hadn't of pulled him out of the wreck she probably could have taken off...(I think :? :? )

I was thinking she said the "little plane" belonged to the man she loved and something about she killed him. She couldn't have been talking about the farmer because she broke into the bank to steal the plane before she met the farmer.

Holy cow! they have complete transcripts of every episode there. Anyway...I was wrong he didnt die. From the transcript: Kate grabs the wheel of Ray's truck forcing them off the road, overturning. The car catches fire and Kate pulls Ray to safety. She pulls his artificial arm off while dragging him to the side of the road. Ill take another guess....wasnt there someone in the bank robbery that got killed? I know....no really, I know this is right .... Kate was faking being a hostage so maybe someone got killed because of her during that whole thing. Maybe? Possibly???

bookie- 05-11-2005

Possibly.... I'm pretty sure that if anyone did it was the guard.... but I don't think the little plane had anything to do with anyone at the bank....it was before that ...maybe her father, boyfriend, brother, etc. Hopefully they'll tell us something tonight. That and how Locke became paralysed are the 2 things I want to know most....about the survivors anyway

I still don't get what Kate was intially running from.... it's so confusing.. lol.. and WHOA ... so she din't actually kill anyone but did make a decision that resulted in a death. hmm.. still don't really like her. Walt~~ the kid has a gift. .. its trippy. I love Sun & Jun ~~ i remember their episodes the most. they were amazing episodes.

Pepette- 05-11-2005

I dont like Kate, she hasnt really been honest about anyting yet. Turns out she kinda was the one that poisoned Walts dad. She told Sun to do it Jin supposedly because Sun didnt want him to go, but I think it was a selfish bid to make a spot for herself on the raft. Im glad Sawyer outed her as a wanted criminal. I like Jin/Sun too, they are interesting and Jin is a handsome man, especially when he is relaxed and not all tense...second only to Sayid on the island.

Whoa..... good show tonight. I know we still don't know why she was running in the first place. Her mother seemed to afraid of her.....or was she calling for help so that her daughter doesn't run anymore. I knew she didn't kill the owner of that plane...turns out they were childhood friends. Though I'd still like to know how that plane ended up in the safety deposit box :? :? So it was her idea to put that stuff in the water....she really did want out...wonder why. I knew Walt was special but to see him warning Locke tonight just blew me away and then to say to his Dad that they did have to go on the raft . Cool...For all those that hate Michael..... ...I've never disliked him....and here he is willing to give up the raft just to make Walt happy    The previews for next week look awesome ......The french chick shows up.... And for the record.....Sawyer just gets better and better

I don't like Kate either and she's always sticking her nose where it doesn't belong, and acting righteous when she's done really bad things in the past. I also enjoyed seeing Kate's pride getting drug through the mud, stomped on, and shoved back in her face after boasting to Sawyer that she'd get her spot on the raft if she darn well wanted it. I loved how Locke threw it all back in Jack's face for keeping secrets. If Locke is a liar, then news flash, so is Jack, and if Jack was just doing what he thought was best to protect the others, then news flash, so is Locke. I think that maybe Kate’s father molested her and then Kate killed him, and that's what sent her on the run in the first place. But that's just a wild guess. So tired of Sawyer getting blamed for everything. It's just laughable at this point.

I think that's exactly right, her father or her stepfacter. I was going to post that with my earlier post and completely forgot. When they were playing the tape, the boy said, "you always want to runaway" and she said "and you know why". Makes perfect sense.

Well now we know who she was responsible for their death. It was her childhood sweetheart who was a doctor, and helped her get in to see her dying mother. The got caught and Kate took off with her boyfriend's car, there was a police blockade and she ran right through it. When she stopped the car she saw the BF had been fatally shot.
