Bachelor 7 premieres Monday, March 28, 9/8c
Here's a link to the official ABC website: The Bachelor And here's a link to the 25 girls competing for him: The Bachelorettes Charlie O'Connell is a financially secure 29-year-old jack of all trades who enjoys a fantastic lifestyle and a love for life that is contagious. Charlie, a self-described fun loving "good guy," has long cherished his carefree bachelor lifestyle. However, amongst 25 beautiful bachelorettes, is there one girl who can stop Charlie in his tracks and inspire him to settle down? This season will be unlike any other on The Bachelor, as we strip down some of the formalities and offer viewers a less structured version of the program. On the first day there will be no limos, no gowns and no traditional rose ceremony. This time there are no rules and anything can happen, as we give Charlie the opportunity of a lifetime to discover if love is out there waiting for him.

I haven't watched the Bachelor in awhile, and I probably wont now either, but I'm willing to bet a lot of girls may be going after this guy for his commections. He brother is a pretty famous actor, who is also dating a pretty famous actress (Rebecca Romijn) and I wouldn't doubt some women are trying to get into the celebrity circuit. They should just stop them now, like none of them have ever been successful.

Are you? Nevertheless, I've watched all the other Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons so no reason to stop now. I will probably miss a lot of the second hour tonight since I plan to watch Medium and only check into The Bachelor during commercials in that hour.

They look like your typical group of vapid tv star wannabes. 90% bimbos?? From what I recall of a preview, it seems that this season might have more cat fights than usual. The contestants range in age from 23 to 32, mostly twenties. Debby (25), Jenny (23), and Kimberly (25) are from Canada. Is that a first?? We also have the usual token African American in Kyshawn (30) and Kristina (27) looks Asian but it's hard to tell for sure in the tiny photo. I really hate when they do that. Have a multiracial pool of contenders if the Bachelor/Bachelorette is seriously interested in considering anyone...otherwise, it's insulting. Did you notice that 10 of the 25 bachelorettes have names beginning with the letter K and none of them are duplicates? Just weird trivia.

That was the funniest thing I have seen in a while.   I missed the last hour (or most of it). Hubby is actually willing to watch it this time around.

I hadn't realized there was a Canadian on there. Is she the one who sat on his lap (with her blouse wide open) during the 2 minute thingy Hometown: Thornhill, Ontario, Canada Age: 25 Me in 3 words: Amiable, kooky, feisty Why I want to try to find my husband on "The Bachelor:" Love can present itself in strange ways, so why not on "The Bachelor?" My hobbies: Power shopping, aerobics, dancing oops, I missed the other Canadians.... we have our west coast entrants. Jenny Hometown: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Age: 23 Me in 3 words: Witty, extroverted, opinionated My greatest achievement to date: Living and working in Hong Kong and China completely by myself without knowing a word of Chinese. Why I haven't found the man of my dreams: Location, location, location. I feel that living in this city has been a huge part of why I've had a limited selection. Kimberly Hometown: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Age: 25 Me in 3 words: Smart, sexy, determined My greatest achievement to date: My University-level education and my producing achievements for the show I just created. Why I'd be a great wife: I'm fun, loving, and I love children.

Between distractions from my kids and spending more time watching Medium than The Bachelor during the second hour, I pretty much missed all of the eliminations. Who went home?? Who is left?? I did catch the "speed dating". Maybe I'm getting old, but I would never have said/done some of the things a few of those girls did for a guy they'd never met!! I did see the one girl who chose to leave because the bar date really wasn't her thing. One girl already claiming to "love" him?? Give me a break! You've got a weird definition of "love". The best part was at the end when we got to see host Chris Harrison being goofy. From what I've seen so far, Charlie seems to be another guy getting a chance to make out with a bunch of cute girls with no real intention of finding a mate. He used the "c" word a few times but he also talked about ending up with a "girlfriend" and looking for someone he can just have fun with. Once again, no happily ever after from this show. The reason to watch is just to see how far these girls will go to "win" and the subsequent cat fights. The "no rules" part seems gauged to encourage outrageous behavior.

Brinna, I will be watching for the sheer entertainment, and I'm guessing there'll be alot of entertaining   I could not get over that one girl... the one who gave him her bikini top (I do not know any of the names yet) she wrote the poem and then when she didn't get picked she was in love with him and only wanted him to say it back....that is sooo sad..... and scary  I couldn't of done or said half the things they did either.

He keeps callling them girls. That annoys me. Unless they're very mature looking 11 year olds.

Pepette- 03-29-2005

I just seen him the night before on Crossing Jordan. I wathced this one and Ill probably try to catch the rest, at least while there is cat-fighting going on. Like someone said the chance of a real romance happening is slim to none so the only reason to watch is for the fighting and bitchiness.

He really stretched himself as an actor

I knew Kyshawn didn't have a snowball's chance in hell on making it past the first rose ceremony, even if she did say Charlie was "hot." Don't put "tokens" on the show if they're just there as window dressing.
