This was the most fatherly fellow on television when I was a kid. He was the "everydad." Wise, funny, loving...but not perfect.
Howard Cunningham...he helped make everyday a happy day. :wink:
My dad wasn't exactly like him...but they were quite similar. They even looked a bit alike. And shared the same first name! Maybe that's why he's my favorite TV dad. :grin:

I choose Ben Cartwright. He was pretty cool and my dad loved that show, plus his name was Ben too. I always wanted to live on a big ranch like the The Ponderosa. I think Pa Cartwright would have been a good dad and the boys would make good big brothers.

My favorite TV Dad is Cliff Huxtable. I would tape "The Cosby Show" so my Dad could watch it when he came home from work and I got a kick out of hearing him laughing when he watched it.
