Avatar Theme Party

I change mine on Fridays, unless a theme hasn't been picked yet. Then I change it on Mondays, because I'm not on here on the weekends because I'm too cheap to get the internet at home. (actually, that's not the real reason, I'm spoiled by the intranet we have at work, which goes so fast, I don't have to wait for anything to load. At home, through a phone line, waiting for a page to load is very painful. So, I refuse to get internet at home until someone offers DSL or better in my area.)

I usually change mine Friday to Friday, although I think some people change theirs on Sunday. Anyway a new theme will be selected near the end of the week. :grin:

So, what's our next theme? Tara had mentioned favorite sitcom star, we still have favorite cereal character on the back burner...any other suggestions?

Memorial Day is coming up so we could do a salute to Armed Services or country/state/province flags.

I am fine with any of the above, but I would personally like the favorite sitcom character.

Just saw this, I would rather do the salute to armed forces this week, and the sitcom stars next week, but if y'all decide to do sitcom stars I will put one up everyday except Monday!

Well, I changed mine for Memorial Day.

It's a Vietnam solidier, resting after a battle in 1967.

Vietnam touched me, and a lot of my generation, in a very profound way. Just looking for this picture made me feel like crying for those times and all we lost.

If you guys decide to do a different theme, though, I'll replace this one.
