August 9 live feeds Big Brother: All-Stars, August 9 Live Feeds – Ghost in the Machine
by Teeuwynn Woodruff -- 08/10/2006
The ghosts of Big Brother past continue to haunt the house – but is there another ghost in the machine? Does Season 6 realize where James stands? For that matter, where does James stand? And who does it appear will go home Thursday night? Warning: This article contains spoiler information!
It’s Wednesday morning at the Big Brother house, and Chicken George is the first one up and awake at 9:00 am. He putters around in the kitchen and bathroom for awhile. Kaysar also gets up and goes outside to do sprints. Other houseguests slowly awaken and rise for the day.
Erika is in the bathroom and she is still really freaked out about the images of former houseguests that keep appearing in the mirrors. (Don’t know what I’m talking about? Click over to Tuesday’s live feed recap to find out.) She covers her eyes with her hands and yells out, “I’m Afraid!” Mike Boogie tells Erika he had bad dreams last night about the former houseguests coming out of the walls and trying to kill him. Looks like Big Brother’s latest plot is really getting to some of the houseguests!
Will and Boogie ponder whether the mysterious faces were just something to scare them or if they have further meaning in the game. Will also tells him that Big Brother told Will that he wouldn’t be asked any live questions because he called Julie Chen “Sweetheart” on the live show. Heh!
Erika, Will, and Mike go to the window and watch Kaysar running. They make fun of the way he runs, calling it a “gay reindeer look… an Iraqi gay reindeer look.” Classy, guys.
Marcellas and Danielle are in the HOH room complaining about Janelle. Danielle says that she thought Season Six was going to go after Chill Town last week, but they didn’t. After that break, they go back to complaining about Janelle.
At 10:00 am, Kaysar starts working on Mike Boogie about the votes. He talks to Boogie about James being a turncoat. Kaysar says that the floaters want him gone this week and Janelle the next. Boogie says he’s worried about the floaters. Kaysar lays it out and says that if Chill Town and Season Six are going to join against the floaters then they have to do it now – and vote out James. Kaysar goes on to say that he knows Danielle sent Erika to Mike, having her flirt with him to get him on their side. Boogie says he knows it. Kaysar is really trying to pitch the Kaysar/Janelle/Howie/Will/Mike against the floaters strategy. Kaysar says he thinks something’s really going on between Danielle and James because she’s been campaigning to save him.
Kaysar talks to Mike some more, trying to get his vote. He ends by saying he really wants to stay and play. But if he has to go home, he’s cool with it. He’s only really pushing because of the way Danielle is acting – like she has the game sewn up already.
Later, Janelle and Will are working out in the gym. She tells him that he really has to get HOH this week because she can’t play for veto next week. Whoops. Looks like Janelle’s having trouble keeping that secret!
A bit later, James sees a face appear in the bug room. He calls the other houseguests in and they study the face. They decide that it’s Eric from Season Six. Afterwards, Will, Danielle, and Mike are in the backyard. Will immediately spills the details about Janelle not being able to play for veto next week. He also warns Danielle that she should stop campaigning to keep James because people are getting suspicious about their relationship.
Next, Danielle heads to the store room to talk to Marcellas. She tells him that people are asking who she wants out and she won’t say. Danielle says that as long as she has him, Erika, and George, she’s good. She wants to see where the votes go and what Will and Boogie do. After Marcellas leaves, Will comes into the store room and Danielle urges him to pass on her desire for James to get voted out this week to try to trick the Season Sixers into believing she’s not in league with him. When James pops in, Will also tells James to campaign some for himself to make this seem legit. James immediately heads out and asks Howie for his vote.
At 11:30 am, the houseguests are on an external lockdown. They talk about the faces appearing. The houseguests think the faces are important for the next HOH competition or another important challenge. Their best guess is that the former houseguests will ask questions about their seasons, or that they’ll have to answer questions about how those houseguests feel about them.
After a while, Big Brother takes the feeds down. They return in the middle of the afternoon. Apparently, Big Brother gave the houseguests some information about the ghosts – or did something with them. There is one ghost from each season: Bunky, Alison, Holly, Josh, Eric… and a chicken from season one.
After the lockdown, Kaysar and Janelle are in the red room. Kaysar tells her that Will asked Danielle who to vote out and she said James. After talking for a bit, the two decide they may have been too hard on James and they feel bad. Wow. Will is so good at this game.
A little after 4:00 pm, Boogie and James have a quiet confab outside. Mike Boogie notes that they have to come up with a good reason for Chill Town voting to keep James. They decide they’ll tell folks that James is a big target – big enough to keep. Boogie tells James to get all quiet and pensive tonight to keep the other Season Sixers thinking he’s worried about getting voted out tomorrow.
They start talking about next week and James says it will be hard for him not to put Janelle up if he’s HOH – especially since she can’t play for veto. James asks Mike if Chill Town would put her up. Mike says no, but they’d be willing to consider evicting her if someone else puts her up. Mike Boogie says that they would look seriously at Marcellas or Erika to evict.
Out on the patio, Will is talking to Danielle again. He tells her that Erika is a backstabber and that she should probably go before Marcellas. Upstairs, George and Erika are playing checkers. George tells Erika about Kaysar trying to get his vote. Erika says it’s hard and they don’t want Kaysar to go, but it has to be done. Chicken George seems to agree.
As the afternoon goes on, the houseguests spend a lot of time talking about the folks watching the live feeds or the people who call in and complain on House Calls. There’s also a lot of talk about food as many of the houseguests are still on slop.
Big Brother takes the picture to the front of the house for awhile. When we get back, Will and Danielle are sitting outside. They say that they can’t trust Erika. Boogie joins them. Danielle says Erika needs to go before Marcellas. Boogie says that he’s willing to get rid of Erika first, if she’s sure, but he’d rather lose to even Chicken George than to Marcellas! They talk about how Erika is playing them. Will says, “We are all playing each other. My point is, there’s three ways to get information in this world – telephone, television, and tell-Erika.” Snork.
In the HOH room, Marcellas, Erika, and Danielle are talking. They say that it’s sad that Kaysar is taking his imminent departure so personally. Marcellas gripes that one of the “ghosts” – Josh – was wearing his white robe. He doesn’t like that, especially because the producers know he loves that robe and hates Josh.
Later that evening, Will regales the house with the story of how Season Two went down – ending in his win. Later, Will puts a rubber rat into the spider tank in the bug room. When Kaysar, Howie, and Janelle notice this they think it might be the producers who moved the rat and they search the rest of the house for other changes. Will is a funny man. Janelle and Howie talk more about James. Kaysar says that Janelle was worried about James, but James said he was worried about her. Everyone is paranoid, but James is cool. Little do they know…
Around 10:45 pm, James joins the other Season Sixers. Howie tells them he overheard Chill Town saying they would vote for James to stay. Janelle asks James if he’s willing to throw the HOH this week. He says he is. She says that the three remaining Season Sixers need to stick together. Janelle also thinks Will and Boogie are with them. James says they’re floaters. James is really working these guys!
In the early morning, Janelle and Kaysar make a last-ditch effort to get Will and Boogie to vote James out instead of Kaysar. They say they’ll sleep on it. After Kaysar and Janelle leave, the Chill Town guys talk some more. They say things are going good with Danielle. They don’t think James will put them up. Will doesn’t trust Marcellas, though. Will would actually love to flip this vote and get rid of James, but they don’t think that would fly with Danielle. The two mull this over some more before they go to bed.
To sum up, Chill Town is really working the house. It looks like Kaysar is going home Thursday night, barring a last-second change in the house. James is solidly with Danielle and, so far, they’re keeping the wool over the Season Sixers’ eyes on that. And people in the house don’t trust Erika because she blabs things.
