Big Brother: All-Stars, August 31 Live Feeds – What Just Happened? by Sandy Lamparello -- 09/01/2006 It’s another eviction day in the Big Brother: All-Stars house. Danielle and George are on the block and both have been trying to convince their housemates that they are the one who should stay. Who is having success at it? What SHOCKING TWIST did CBS throw at the houseguests? And what happened afterwards? Let’s take a look, shall we? Warning: This article contains spoiler information! It’s a strange day in the Big Brother: All-Stars house. At 11:30 am Big Brother time everyone is still sleeping, even though we had Firecam for a while and there is loud music playing, along with lots of banging. Finally Mike gets up and heads upstairs to join Erika in the HOH room as George and Will are in the kitchen. Mike asks Erika how she slept and asks if he can listen to her music before she is evicted. From the HOH room, not the game, he quickly adds. She says okay and walks out to the balcony. We see a shot of the backyard, where the HOH competition is apparently being set up. There is a round platform that is quartered so each player will be separated. The camera shows a close-up of George’s name in one of the sections. And we get about an hour of Flaming Trivia. When our feeds return, George is packing his bag. Everyone else is playing cards and Janelle says she won. Mike tells George to put all his props in a garbage bag in the storage room. He continues that they will take care of them for him so they don’t get ruined and lose eBay value. Someone comments that George keeps everything and discussion turns to who keeps things and who throws things out. After finishing his packing, George heads to the kitchen and starts cutting a piece of fabric. He’s making his costume for the live show. Janelle, Danielle, Will, and Mike play cards in the living room and Erika has gone off somewhere. She returns to the card game. General chit chat until we once again get Firecam. The feeds return and the houseguests sit around and complain about how badly Big Brother treats them after the season is over. Apparently it is in their contract that they cannot ask for copies of the show, and Will says that is why he won’t do anything extra like House Calls. Feeds go to Firecam as apparently they don’t want us to hear the bashing. Firecam continues for about an hour. We return to see Will, Danielle, Mike, and Janelle in the workout room. Janelle is putting makeup on. George is lying on the living room sofa. Mike complains about his ear, and says something about removing stuff from it. Will talks about his hair and Janelle says she likes it. Then Will starts singing and we get Firecam on and off for a little bit. At a little after 3:00 pm Big Brother time, everyone begins primping for the live show. Danielle says she has lost 15 pounds since the show started, and points out where her bones are sticking out. Will showers and asks if he can use Janelle’s shampoo. She asks him which shampoo he wants to use and it turns out that it’s Danielle’s shampoo. Danielle tells him to go ahead and use it, and says she will leave it in the house for him. She heads upstairs to get it for him and Janelle whispers something to Will. He asks her to repeat it and she does, and he replies, “Gotcha.” And we get Firecam for another hour. With less than an hour to go before the live show, the feeds return. Will and Janelle play cards up on the balcony and Danielle sits at the dining room table. George is wearing the green bodysuit from the birds and bees food/luxury competition (minus the flower part) and has bright red cheeks. He’s added a skirt to the ensemble. Danielle is wearing sweats as everyone else gets ready. Mike and Danielle discuss the voting and Mike seems to be trying to reassure her. Will and Janelle play cards and there is general chit chat until our feeds to go Firecam for the live show. Danielle is evicted by a vote of 3-0. Janelle wins the HOH competition, and immediately nominates Erika and George. Erika wins veto and of course removes herself from the block. Mike is nominated in her place and George is evicted by a vote of 2-0. Wow! Read all about it in Mike’s recap, then click over to David’s analysis of Why Danielle Lost and Why George Lost, plus RNO’s interview with George (Danielle’s is coming soon). After the live show, our feeds return. The final four are, understandably, quite shaken by all that occurred. They are trying to figure out the timing. Janelle believes the show is supposed to end on September 20 (which is actually a Wednesday, but anyway…) and can’t understand why there was a double eviction so late in the show. They didn’t do it that way during her season. Which, of course, is the model by which all future seasons must be judged. Please. Mike thinks they may skip the next (Sunday) show because of Labor Day (he’s wrong) and they all talk about how the final two may be left in the house for a full week together (wrong again). Will says the final must be pushed up a lot. Wait till they find out the next live show and eviction are on Tuesday! There is some talk about when the next HOH competition may be held, and dinner is prepared. They also wonder who will clean now that George is gone. Will says he’s lost 29 competitions in a row. He also complains that he injured his thumb in the veto competition, and for the rest of the night will continue to complain about it. There is a lot of boring conversation and card playing throughout the evening, so much so that if I tried to recap it I would be in danger of getting a close-up view of my laptop keyboard. And you’d be in danger doing the same with your computer… Mike gets his ear checked in the diary room and Will once again asks for a doctor for his thumb. When they return, the talk turns to whether Danielle was angry or accepting when she was evicted, and how sad they are that George is gone, and that he went so quickly. They are shocked because they weren’t expecting it. I agree with Mike DeGeorge – good thing he was already packed! The final four rehash the “When does the show end?” discussion in all its glory. And do it again. This is riveting stuff, I tell you! Everyone is happy that George can eat now, and we get treated to the sounds of Mike in the rest room. Thanks for that one! Dinner (which is sushi) is consumed, and Janelle says if she didn’t win HOH she would probably be gone. She also notes that her HOH basket is in the storage room and not up in the HOH room. Mike says he had to have everything explained to him in the diary room, because it all went down so fast. Everyone agrees, and they think that the way George left was best, because it was fast. Will, Mike, and Erika talk as Janelle is nowhere to be found. She may be in the shower. They discuss how Janelle must be the next to go and they have a 75 percent chance of winning veto to make sure she does. Will eats yogurt as Erika tells him and Mike about the competitions from her season. Eventually feeds go to Firecam as the HOH competition is held. Although precious little is revealed, at the end of it all Mike is the new HOH. Mike seems stunned by his win. He showers and sits in the red room, looking dazed. Will asks if they will all be friends when the show is over and Janelle, Erika, and Mike say yes, they will. Will tells Erika the flirting is all over, he can either kick the person he’s been flirting with out of the house or team up with her. He tells her the latter won’t happen. He then has a very similar conversation with Janelle, giving both ladies reassurance that they are good for the final three. And, of course, they will probably fall for it. Janelle and Mike start to get things out of the fridge, then end up cleaning it with toilet paper because Big Brother will not give them paper towels. Will is in the diary room. Mike collects dirty dishes, etc., and brings them to the kitchen as Janelle finishes up the fridge. Erika sits at the counter watching them. More card playing, and discussion about whether there will be a veto competition the next day. Mike says if not, they should be given alcohol. After the card game ends, Mike and Will discuss keeping Janelle in the final three over Erika. They also discuss how they have been able to get each of the ladies to do their bidding throughout the season. So it’s not clear who the actual target is, though there is no doubt that Janelle and Erika will be the nominees. They then talk about how they will get Janelle out of the house. Eventually they get some wine, and they decide to do a taste test with the cheap vs. expensive wine. Will pours the wine while the others head to the workout room to wait for Will to call them out to play. Janelle and Erika guess correctly, Mike does not. All four of them head out to the hot tub. Erika borrows one of Janelle’s swimsuits. The guys love it, because Erika is bigger in the chest than Janelle is, so it doesn’t fit her too well. They all kiss each other on the cheeks but Will does not want to play. Drinking continues and they talk about all the evicted houseguests. Janelle gets loud and tries to cozy up to Will. He tells her to move away but she persists. Erika appears to be sitting on Mike’s lap. Mike and Erika head to the kitchen, where they kiss. He tells her no game talk tonight, he wants to decompress. So much for the “no flirting” thing… They head back out to the hot tub and Erika brings Janelle some beer. A helicopter flies over and they all wave to it. It circles and flies over again and Mike yells out to it, which prompts a bit of Firecam. Mike defends his romance with Erika and they discuss whether they will get married. This talk goes on for a while and Janelle and Erika continue to drink. Janelle and Will talk about their dogs, and how they treat them like their children. Will says he will deliver Mike and Erika’s baby and Janelle says she’ll be the nurse. Erika and Mike head up to the HOH room to flirt and make out, while Will and Janelle flirt and make out in the hot tub. For the rest of the night it’s more of the same. No real strategy/game talk goes on, other than Erika telling Mike she can’t believe Janelle doesn’t know that Erika is in with Chill Town. Mike, as always resists actually answering her, and also evades her questions about their relationship outside the house. Eventually all the boring conversation catches up with them and everyone falls sound asleep. Good night houseguests! So, to sum up, a heck of a lot happened today, sadly all of it during the live show. With Chill Town in power, the ladies are surely headed for the block. But there are more competitions to come. http://www.realitynewsonline.com/cgi-bin/ae.pl?mode=4&article=article6409.art&page=1
